Yuuto stepped out of the elevator, freshly showered, buttoning his shirt. He had just left Aiden's penthouse to pick up coffee, thinking a peaceful morning would help cool things down after last night.
But fate had other plans.
Lucas leaned against the café wall, sipping an iced espresso like he owned the city.
"Yuuto," he greeted smoothly, pulling down his sunglasses with a teasing smirk. "Rough night?"
Yuuto froze. "Are you stalking me now?"
Lucas chuckled. "You call it stalking. I call it 'concerned interest'."
Yuuto rolled his eyes. "Whatever it is, stop. You said you wanted Aiden back, not to mess with me."
Lucas stepped forward, close enough that Yuuto had to tilt his chin up slightly. "I changed my mind."
Yuuto blinked. "What?"
"I want you, too."
Yuuto's heartbeat stuttered.
Lucas smirked. "The way you kissed Aiden last night? That heat… that passion. You think I didn't notice how badly you want to be seen? Desired? Claimed?"
Yuuto swallowed. "You don't know me."
"Oh, but I want to."
Lucas reached up, brushing a lock of Yuuto's hair behind his ear. His touch lingered. "Let me take you out. Just once. No Aiden. No past. Just you and me."
Yuuto slapped his hand away, cheeks flushed. "I'm not some toy you can pull between you and Aiden!"
Lucas's voice lowered to a whisper. "Then stop letting him treat you like one."
Before Yuuto could respond, Lucas turned and walked away, leaving behind the scent of his cologne and a storm in Yuuto's chest.

Back at the penthouse, Aiden was on a call when Yuuto returned. His expression softened seeing him, but Yuuto didn't smile back.
"You okay?" Aiden asked, standing.
Yuuto hesitated. "Lucas followed me."
Aiden's face hardened instantly. "What did he do?"
Yuuto didn't answer.
Instead, he walked over, wrapped his arms around Aiden, and leaned his head on his chest. "Just… hold me."
Aiden pulled him close, but in the back of Yuuto's mind… Lucas's words lingered.
"I want you, too."
And for the first time, Yuuto wasn't sure… who he was more afraid of falling for.
