Chapter 9 - Chapter - 9

"I once thought—maybe their god was like them..."

After hearing those words, Ryo felt as if he had heard them before, but he couldn't remember where. Then his head started to hurt again.

He opened the portal to the alternate dimension and jumped into it.

The king asked, "Where did he go so suddenly?"

Saito said, "Maybe he remembered something."

Ryo, in the alternate dimension, was feeling immense pain now. He felt like he had heard those words countless times.

He forced himself to look for it. Then he found something that was not supposed to be possible—there were various seals on his soul. But God had said the seal had broken and it might shatter his soul. That was why he was transmigrated.

But there was not just one seal—there were countless ones.

"Had God lied to me?"

He was beginning to doubt everything. After some time, his head felt lighter. Then he went to get some questions... from God.

He entered the realm where the god was. After seeing Ryo, the god asked,"Oh Ryo, do you have something to ask me?"

"Yes, I do. How many seals does a soul have?"

The god paused for a moment."A soul usually has one seal."

"And you said that the seal on my soul was broken and it could no longer be repaired."

"Yes, that is right."

"Then why are there more than one—no, more than thousands of seals?"

"You have to find that out yourself."

"What does that mean? Most of the memories of my past are sealed. It feels like not even one percent of them are unsealed."

"Oh, you are right about that. But you have to find out the answers yourself. You have to remove those seals yourself too. But make sure—if you try to do it as a mortal, your soul will truly shatter."

"Then what do you want me to do? Become an immortal?"

"Oh no, dear. You have already surpassed those stages in the past. You need to find a way to surpass even your every past. I can't answer you more than that."

Then Ryo returned to his alternate dimension.

"What does that mean? And why did the king's words feel like I have heard them in most of my lives? And something terrible has happened…"

Then I called Nova and told her to focus on upgrading everything. Try to look for ways to remove the seals on my soul and find something which is above immortality—in my mind realm or anywhere, any realm—I don't care. Send scouts, even if it means spying on gods...

After that, I went to rest. I skipped my meals for that day.

At night, I was having countless dreams—"I once thought—maybe their god was the same...""I once thought—maybe their god was the same...""I once thought—maybe their god was the same...""Maybe their god was the same..."

I don't know if they were nightmares or what.

Why is this happening? What is this? Why… why... why... why… why… why… why… why… why...

The next morning when I woke up, I opened my doors. Everyone ran toward me. The kids jumped on me while crying,"Daddy, you're alright!"

I was confused. Then everyone else arrived—Saito, Princess Yuki, Princess Seyra, Celestine, Zoya, Mili, Silf—and Nova was with them.

"Why is Nova here? Out of the alternate world?"

Then Saito said,"You were out for nearly 10 days."

"Ten days? What do you mean?"

Then Nova spoke,"Master, it was—"

Saito said, "Stop. Can we talk for a moment?"

"Ryo, kids, could you let your uncle and daddy have a conversation for a moment?"

Then I asked the maids to look after them for a few moments, and we entered the alternate world.

Then Saito started speaking,"Ryo, when you returned from the alternate dimension, your heart was not beating. The kids called Nova to inspect you.

'Master, the seals on your soul were tightening more because you were forcing them to be released.'

Ryo, I went to God for answers. He said you can't forcefully break those seals. Or maybe… if you attain that again…

I don't know what he is talking about. But he said it is best not to release those seals all at once—unseal them one at a time. I am sure the seals are there for a reason. You just need to calm down."

"I'm sorry to make you worry. But when I found out that nearly all of my memories of my past lives were sealed, it felt like I was missing something very important and very dear to me—something I shouldn't have lost."

"Master, I have found something about what you had asked me about…"

"What is it?"

"You had told me to find a way to surpass immortality, and there were some records of it in your mind realm. After inspecting your body, it is evolving every minute or every second. Maybe it is trying to reach that realm again. You might be able to surpass it even. But the method was not in the mind realm or any realm, and there is no name for the realm beyond immortality in the mind realm."

Saito then asked, "A way to surpass immortality? Why are you looking for it? Because God told you to?? Don't panic or take harsh decisions that might harm others..."

Then Ryo remembered something."Those dreams... why was it always the destruction of the world? And... have I killed a god before? But aren't gods immortal?"

Saito added, "Who said that immortals can't die? Maybe that's why God told you to surpass even that."

"Now don't look any further into it, and let's return. Everyone is waiting for you."

After returning, I apologized to all. Then I had ordered Nova to keep upgrading everything and making new things. Then I asked Saito why he was not building his nation.

"Well Ryo, building a nation is not an easy job. It needs many resources. And even if you have those resources, you need citizens.

To build a nation, you need: a stable population, food and water supply, shelter and housing, infrastructure like roads and power, a working economy, security forces to maintain peace, a system of government, laws, education, healthcare, trade systems, and diplomatic relations with other nations. It's not just about claiming land—it's about creating a home for people to live, grow, and thrive in.

"What are the things you're missing? First off, I need land to build a nation. Then, even if I have the land, I need resources and manpower. After that, I need citizens and resources to feed them. It's not like I can just leave them to fend for themselves. It needs many things—and someone to govern it, first."

"Well, you're the one who will govern it. As for the resources, I can prepare them."

"How exactly, you ask? Just make sure you get everything ready."

Then I went back to the alternate realm. I saw that many things had changed and were upgraded.

one of my favorite one was weapons

"In the weapons division, we've created modular weapons," Nova explained. "Each weapon can switch between multiple modes—like from sword to rifle to shield—depending on the user's need. We've also developed energy-based ammo that recharges from ambient magic."

Ryo picked up a blade. With a flick, it shifted into a rifle, then back into a sword. Clean, smooth, and deadly.

After returning, I went straight to the palace where Prime Minister Jeff and King Arthur were already waiting with Saito. A large map was spread across the table.

Prime Minister Jeff started speaking."This area here is the Nether Lands. It doesn't belong to any nation, and no one has ever dared to conquer it… because it's filled with various monsters."He pointed to a dark, mountainous region shaded in red on the map.

"They can't clear them?" I asked.Jeff shook his head. "No. Even the strongest forces haven't been able to make a dent. The monsters there are unusually aggressive and spawn endlessly."

"Are there no other regions nearby?""The nearest one is this," he said, tapping a small cluster of islands. "After that, it's just a vast sea. The Nether Land is the largest single piece of land—even if you combine the two largest nations, they don't compare in size."

"Hey, I have a question," I said, leaning over the table. "Are there any dungeons in the Nether Lands?"

Saito replied, "There are some inactive dungeons… practically ruins. People sometimes find old treasures, but even finding a mana potion is considered rare these days."

"Is that so…?" I murmured, thinking deeply.

After discussing a few other things, we returned to the mansion. Everyone had gathered as usual. The kids clung to me while munching on some cookies. I chuckled.

"What is it?" I asked them.

"We wanna go to the palace too!" they cried out in unison.

I smiled and promised to take them one day. After writing everything down and organizing my thoughts, I left for the alternate dimension with Saito.

Once inside, I turned to him."Saito, help me construct some dungeons."

"Dungeons?" He looked confused. "What do you mean, construct? Don't tell me you want to actually build dungeons from scratch?"

"Of course I do," I said confidently.

He sighed but nodded. "Alright then…"

He gave some instructions about monster spawn zones and loot generation, then left to take care of things in the real world.

I stood there for a moment, thinking."I have an idea. Why stop at just one dungeon? Why not build five dungeons and five labyrinths too?"

Construction bots hovered nearby, awaiting commands.

Each dungeon is like a tower or underground ruin filled with traps, monsters, and loot. Here's how we made them:

We picked 5 different regions in the alternate dimension, each with unique environments:

Volcanic Cavern – lava, heat, and fire monsters

Frozen Abyss – icy tunnels, frost spirits, and slippery paths

Thunder Spire – a tall rock formation constantly struck by lightning

Ancient Jungle Temple – covered in vines, bugs, and nature spirits

Forgotten Catacombs – underground maze with undead enemies

Construction bots used special terraforming tools to carve out the interiors:

Carved tunnels and chambers

Added stone walls, doors, gates

Installed pressure traps, spike floors, hidden doors

Each dungeon had 5 to 10 floors going downward or upward.

Saito left behind blueprints for summoning monsters using mana crystals. We did this:

Set up core nodes per floor

Programmed which type of monster would appe

Loot rooms were placed every 2-3 floors:

Common loot: herbs, weapons, coins

Rare loot: spell scrolls, potions, relics

Random chance for Ultra Rare items

Security runes ensured that loot wouldn't be stolen by intruders or duplicated.

Each dungeon had a Core Crystal installed. This:

Maintained the internal ecosystem

Managed monster respawn cycles

Activated traps, doors, and light systems

Once all five were online, they were connected to a control tower in the dimension's sky city.

Labyrinths are long, confusing mazes that test logic and endurance more than brute strength.

We used AI-powered design software to:

Create shifting paths

Add false walls, illusions, rotating sections

Include puzzle doors that required keys or riddles

Each labyrinth had over 100 rooms and corridors.

Just like dungeons, each labyrinth had a theme:

Crystal Mirage – Light-reflecting walls and illusions

Sandstorm Maze – Desert, shifting sand floors, mirages

Mechanical Cube – Rotating walls, robotic enemies, gears

Sky Ruins – Floating platforms and gravity puzzles

Poisonous Swamp Maze – Toxic fog, traps, and slow movement

Every 5-10 rooms, a special mechanism would activate:

Memory puzzles

Combination lock puzzles

Pressure plate sequences

Failing the puzzle triggered traps or summoned enemies.

To avoid frustration:

We added checkpoint rooms (every 25 rooms)

Installed dimensional return portals (1-time use)

Safe rooms had healing crystals

Just like dungeons, each labyrinth was powered by a Stability Core.It made sure the maze didn't collapse, glitch, or reset incorrectly.Testers (humanoid AI scouts) were sent in to make sure every part worked.

Once the dungeons and labyrinths inside the alternate dimension were successfully built, I started planning to bring them into the real world. These wouldn't be just any dungeons—they'd be controlled, safe, and fair for adventurers of all levels.

Of course, that meant we needed some important systems in place.

We designed each dungeon to be constructed physically in the real world using my tech. They'd look ancient and mystical from the outside, but inside, everything would be carefully controlled by advanced systems.

Each floor of every dungeon—whether it's a 5-floor dungeon or a multi-layered labyrinth—had its own Sub-AI system.

These AIs:

Monitor the floor in real-time

Control monster spawns, loot drops, and trap systems

Adjust difficulty based on the adventurers inside

These Sub-AIs were all connected to a Central AI Core located at a floating Control Room that hovered above each dungeon. The floating control room was invisible to normal eyes, cloaked with stealth fields.

No one could just walk into a dungeon.

Before entering, each adventurer had to:

Present their Adventurer Card at the gate

Place the card on a Stone Slab

The stone slab would glow and activate the dungeon's entry system.

At the same time:

The Sub-AI would take a facial image of the person using discreet mana-scan cameras

It would log their identity, entry time, gear, and mana signature

This was strictly for safety—to prevent criminals, cheaters, or overpowered people from abusing the system.

The AI would track every step inside the dungeon to make sure nothing went wrong.

Rewards would also be distributed by the AI, but we had strict rules to maintain balance.

"No enchanted weapons beyond the basic level," I declared during the meeting with the Sub-AIs.

Saito nodded in agreement. "We can't afford to break the balance of the world. If people walk around with legendary enchanted swords, it'll cause chaos."

So we set clear limits:

Allowed Rewards:

Weapons with basic enchantments only

(e.g. +1 sharpness, minor durability, slight magic conductivity)

Potions:

Basic Healing Potions

Basic Mana Potions

Not Allowed:

Epic or legendary enchantments

Teleportation scrolls

Time-freeze, mind-control, or large-area effect weapons

High-tier spell scrolls or forbidden magic

Each floor had:

Emergency Teleportation Crystals that would activate if someone was severely wounded or unconscious

AI-monitored Vital Signs Tracking to auto-alert nearby medics

Monster taming failsafe (in case summoned creatures lost control)

Also, the dungeon wouldn't open unless a minimum safety level was confirmed:

Mana core stable

Monster quota balanced

Floor structure integrity confirmed

From the floating control room above each dungeon, the Master AI could:

Watch live feeds from all sub-AIs

Adjust loot tables or block specific rewards

Lock or unlock dungeon floors in emergencies

Communicate with adventurers via holograms or magical messages

Only high-authority individuals (like me or Saito) could access the control room.

After it was done, there were more things which needed to be done—monsters in those dungeons. We created monster spawn zones in which no one can enter. These zones will summon monsters on each floor, and the Sub-AI will be upgrading the dungeons and labyrinths.

next thing we need is a perfect structure for building a nation. But to do that, we first need to scan the area of the Nether Lands.

Yes, we sent some drones to scan the areas of the Nether Land.

Then there was the most important part—citizens.Saito had told me that he wants a nation where every race can live peacefully. But for that to happen, we need to take care of the Church.

Or should I say... yes, that can work.If I change this world's structure, then it will change some things easily.

Why not expand the land of the Nether Lands? And by doing that, these will not be under the control of any god. Each world has a caretaker god, but if the world changes, then they can no longer do anything in that world.

But before doing that, we need a barrier which will prevent them from entering this world—or any being.

Then we need to clean the area of the Nether Lands. After that, what we need is to establish a guild branch there.

After that—shops, stores, right? Why not do this—for each shop in the nation, the owner will be a humanoid. As for the shops that will be built after these ones, they will be under watch.

We need shops for clothes, food, and more.Clothing shops, food stalls, potion shops, blacksmiths, armor shops, tool shops, bookshops, general stores, magic supply stores, restaurants, bakeries, inns, taverns, tailoring shops, herbalist shops, furniture shops, material traders, and equipment repair shops.

Then, houses. After that, water supply.Carriages.Farms.Guards to guard each area.

Then, there are many other things…But first, we need to clear the Nether Land.

First, we need to increase Saito's reputation. Why not increase his guild rank to the highest? But how exactly...?

I returned to the real world and asked the others. They said, to increase someone to the highest rank, you need to hunt a Platinum-grade monster. But you can't simply do that.

Then I asked if there were any Platinum-grade monsters in the Nether Lands."Yes," they said. "It's filled with them, but no one has ever been able to clear it."

Then why not do this? Then we can easily do this, Saito.

But he said that his idea for building a nation exists on the Co-Monarchy system. And that I also need to increase my rank to the highest.

Well, I guess I can do that.

But Princess Yuki said, "Right now, there is no one at the highest rank. There are hardly three Gold ranks, and no Platinum."

That means we need to do it.But we need a party to do it.

"I have a party of adventurers we can rely on."

"Don't tell me… did you—"

"Yes. I did."
