Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Transmigration Diary 2.0

Klein leisurely introduced the two new members to the Tarot Club's veterans, then presented the veterans to the newcomers.

Two new members at once?

Justice Audrey's first reaction was delight. As one of the Tarot Club's founding members, she arguably felt a stronger sense of belonging than even The Fool himself, and she was naturally the most eager to see the group grow.

Now, with new members joining, Audrey warmly greeted them before instinctively slipping into her Spectator state to observe the pair.

Mr. Sun looked young and visibly nervous, a bit awkward, giving off the vibe of a lone wolf… Audrey assessed Derrick first, then shifted her gaze to Mr. Emperor, only to pause.

She couldn't help it—Mr. Emperor's features felt oddly familiar, instantly reminding her of Mr. Jack, whom she'd met not long ago.

So Mr. Jack really was pulled into the Tarot Club by Mr. Fool… Audrey's initial reaction was excitement. Having personally played a role in this, she felt a surge of accomplishment.

But then, a realization hit her, and she inwardly groaned.

Because not only were Jack's traits distinctive, so were hers. Jack had met her in real life, and he seemed just as skilled at observation.

Sure enough, the next moment, Audrey caught Mr. Emperor looking at her with a thoughtful, puzzled expression that quickly shifted to one of realization.

Looks like Mr. Jack recognized me. Well, with Mr. Fool here, it shouldn't be a problem, and Jack's a good person… Audrey reassured herself, feeling no real panic.

After all, she genuinely trusted The Fool and sincerely believed Jack wasn't a bad guy.

Their interaction didn't go unnoticed by The Hanged Man, Alger, who furrowed his brow.

Justice knows the new member, Emperor?

Honestly, this discovery sparked a twinge of unease in Alger. Ambitious and sharp, always climbing the ladder, he wasn't thrilled at the idea of Justice forming an alliance with a new member. It could threaten his standing in the Tarot Club.

But after closely observing Mr. Emperor, Alger relaxed. The new member seemed… naive. His body language screamed a lack of wariness.

In other words, easy to sway.

Evah, of course, could guess what both Audrey and Alger were thinking. He didn't mind, focusing instead on embodying Jack's persona—curious, enthusiastic, and warm as he greeted the group, eagerly awaiting the Tarot Club's usual proceedings.

Sure enough, the next moment, Justice Audrey raised her hand, announcing she'd collected four pages of Roselle's Diary.

This was more than in the original story, a change owed to Evah. Over time, he'd discreetly arranged for Mr. A to sell several Transmigration Diaries. While not all would end up with the Tarot Club, some inevitably reached its members.

The Fool, Klein, was naturally thrilled with the haul and asked Audrey what she wanted in exchange. Her request was the Sequence 7 Psychiatrist potion formula.

That was a bit beyond The Fool's current reach, but Sun Derrick came to the rescue, offering to provide the Psychiatrist formula in exchange for a Sun pathway potion formula.

Audrey, of course, had no Sun pathway formulas, but Klein, thankfully, did—thanks to his reckless divination of the Eternal Blazing Sun last time.

Thus, a three-way trade was smoothly struck: The Fool would supply Derrick with the Sun pathway formula, Audrey would pay gold pounds to The Fool's Blessed, and Derrick would provide Audrey with the Psychiatrist formula.

Everyone walked away satisfied.

Klein finally began reading today's diaries. The first two pages were unmistakably Roselle's, detailing Sequence swaps, his attendance at a mysterious ancient organization's gathering to view the Blasphemy Slate, leaving Klein with a frustrating sense of being teased by a cliffhanger.

Come on, Emperor, if you're gonna drop that, at least name the organization!

Klein grumbled inwardly, flipping to the next page. His gaze sharpened. The date clearly wasn't Roselle's, suggesting it belonged to a transmigrator from the Zoroast family.

The diary read:

"August 25, Sunny.

Today, Amon suddenly taught me about the history of the Fourth Epoch's Tudor Dynasty, which caught me off guard. Apparently, the Blood Emperor Tudor was a mad god. Amon told me Tudor ascended to Red Priest—possibly the Sequence 0 of the Hunter pathway—with His help.

It's a bit odd, though. Amon's expression while recounting this was strange—not happy, not sad. I almost feel like He was reminiscing about those days.

Does a being like Him even feel nostalgia? Was He close with Tudor?"

This diary hit like a bombshell, its information overload briefly stunning Klein. Luckily, no one noticed.

He quickly steadied himself, his mind racing:

Sequence 0 is what gods are called? That aligns with the Sequence pathways. So the legendary Path to Divinity really refers to the Sequence pathways—does that mean every pathway's peak can lead to godhood?

The Blood Emperor Tudor was a Sequence 0? Was that why the Primordial Demoness was willing to bear his child? So the War of the Four Emperors was a clash between four Sequence 0s?

Amon helped Tudor become a god? No wonder He was the Duke of Amon in the Tudor Empire…

One revelation after another flashed through Klein's mind. While cataloging these esoteric secrets, The Fool couldn't help but feel puzzled.

"Didn't the last Zoroast diary talk about planning an escape? They were full of schemes to get away from Amon, wary as hell. How'd they suddenly start taking history lessons from Him? Is that really okay?"

Klein was baffled. This was his third encounter with a Zoroast transmigrator's diary. At the previous Tarot Club meeting, he'd read another from this fellow transmigrator, though it was brief—mostly complaints about being caught by Amon and sketches of escape plans.

Yet, in such a short time, their wariness of Amon seemed to have dulled considerably.
