"Magic Engineering Class 103 Freshman Su Yuchen Doesn't Like Women."

Su Yuchen wasn't a part of the seemingly useless new student group, so he was entirely unaware of this group announcement about himself.

"This new student group has been dissolved by the group admin, just three minutes ago."

Although the six classes in the Magic Engineering Department weren't held in the same classroom, they began at the same time.

Three minutes ago, most students had already arrived, yet the class hadn't officially started. Most would surely check the new student group chat, and upon seeing the announcement, word spread like wildfire.

Before the classroom could erupt into discussions, the counselor walked in and began the roll call.

And then the group was disbanded.

Perfectly timed.

But… was this new student group created solely to post this announcement at the last minute?

Most new student groups were just casual chats initiated by senior students looking to make connections. But the fact that senior students had specifically posted this announcement hinted at the involvement of the former Student Union Vice President, Tia Yufei.

Considering that she didn't want him to attract the attention of other vampires… she was the prime suspect.

But then, wasn't she concerned about attracting attention from male vampires?

"Song Xinghui!"

"Here!"

The boy in front answered and continued, "Dude, did you offend some senior?"

"No."

"Then, is this true?" Song Xinghui widened his eyes, the surrounding students discreetly observing… especially a few bulky, mature-looking students sitting ahead, eyeing him like hungry wolves.

In the past life, if a man didn't like women, people would assume one thing. But in this world, the possibilities multiplied.

"Yes, I don't like women," Su Yuchen spoke evenly, "But not liking women doesn't necessarily mean liking men, right?"

"Huh?"

"Women are indeed women, but females aren't necessarily just women." Su Yuchen said expressionlessly, "They might not even be human."

Like Senior Tia.

You could say she was a woman, but calling her a female vampire would be more accurate.

"So…" Su Yuchen glanced at the screenshot on the phone screen, "This group announcement isn't entirely wrong."

Several bulky men who had been staring at him strangely earlier, withdrew their gaze, slightly disappointed.

Su Yuchen remained composed. He might not like women, but he absolutely couldn't give the impression of being interested in men!

If a girl liked someone, she'd be reserved at least, and wouldn't resort to forceful methods. But if certain men with abnormal inclinations showed interest, that would be troublesome. Because they're highly likely to resort to violence.

So, proving your own sexual orientation is necessary.

Although there are many attractive people of other species, because of the less harmonious relationship between humans and non-humans, not many humans dare to express love for non-humans.

"So, where are you from, brother? I'm from Xuanqing, Changhai City."

"Jinyang."

He didn't mention he was from Wang'an City. Although names like 'Su Yuchen' were quite common, placing it in Wang'an City might draw connections with the princess of Chang'an, Su Yuxi. That would lead to unnecessary explanations.

Putting aside suspicions about 'Su Yuchen from Wang'an City,' he wasn't afraid of being recognized by the aristocrats of the Xuanqing Empire because he hadn't interacted with them. Even if someone knew there was a crown prince in the Chang'an Kingdom, they wouldn't think it was him.

Since discovering the wonders of this world, he rarely stayed home because staying there meant slow progress in strength.

"No wonder," Song Xinghui realized, "The northern border of Chang'an Kingdom is adjacent to non-humans. No wonder you've developed an XP that dislikes 'females' in a human country."

"Hey, coming to the Sky City allows us to boldly express our fondness for non-humans. After all, even our Xuanqing Empire has no jurisdiction here."

"Even if exposed in Xuanqing, who would care?" Su Yuchen remained non-committal.

"That's true." Song Xinghui nodded. The Xuanqing Empire was no longer the dominant empire it once was in the Eastern Continent… Behind the facade of a unified empire, local nobles had long since disregarded the royal family's authority.

"Brother, any plans to go home for Mid-Autumn Festival? We can go together."

"No."

"Well, that's a pity… Hey, the Minotaur girl in the third row near the wall is looking at you." Song Xinghui lowered his voice suddenly, "She's not a 'woman.'"

"…And I'm not a furry."

Su Yuchen glanced out the window; it was getting dark.

Apart from certain men with extremely particular fetishes, other men who liked non-humans definitely didn't prefer creatures like centipedes, centaurs, or minotaur women.

Seeing Su Yuchen's lack of interest in continuing the conversation, Song Xinghui also tactfully didn't pursue the topic further. He turned away, put on his headphones, and observed the few 'females' in the class.

After the counselor finished the roll call, he began explaining some matters related to military training, receiving books, filling out forms, and joining the class group. His pace was swift, yet his speech was clear, avoiding repetition.

Being university students, if one didn't pay attention to important instructions, they couldn't blame others for not mentioning them.

After the instructions, the counselor surveyed the class and said, "Regarding the election of class committee members, we'll discuss it after the military training. Those interested in becoming committee members should gather support during the training. Dismissed."

As soon as the counselor finished, Su Yuchen was the first to stand up, and then—

A whooshing sound outside the window, a black and white football shattered the glass, and the ball, along with shards of glass, flew towards Su Yuchen.

Guessed wrong…

Dodging the shards, Su Yuchen thought to himself; I anticipated the falling glass but didn't expect a soccer ball.

"Who allowed you guys to play soccer here? Isn't the field enough for you to play?!"

The reprimanding voice of a member of the discipline committee resounded outside the window. Avoiding the glass fragments, Su Yuchen walked up to the platform as if he hadn't seen anything: "Teacher, I'd like to take a photo of the class roster."

"Okay." Deng Liangcai looked at Su Yuchen, who had narrowly escaped being hit by a chandelier in the cafeteria yesterday, narrowly avoided being hit twice by Jiang Shengyue's motorbike, and almost got hurt by the glass just now.

Was someone targeting him? Otherwise, it was too coincidental.

"Thank you, Teacher."

After taking the photo, Su Yuchen left the classroom directly. Finally, he could wrap up this matter, or he'd have to endure Yuxi's nagging again.

Walking out of the school gate, the streetlights illuminated the endless road.

"Su Yuchen."

The elongated shadows of the incandescent streetlights were covered by an even larger and wider shadow, resembling a demon, with horns extending from both sides at the top of the shadow.

"If possible, how about I become your girlfriend?"

Su Yuchen turned around, facing a minotaur 'cute' girl who was a head taller, wearing an oversized dress. It should have been a happy event to be confessed to by a classmate on the first night of school, but the classmate was a Minotaur Barbie…

The mixed-blood, sturdy-looking girl smiled at Su Yuchen. A cow's face smiling looked eerie, easily scaring people off.

However, Su Yuchen didn't run away because, despite his 'unfortunate' nature that didn't easily harbor emotions, he understood the weight behind a 'confession'.

Regardless of the species, 'liking someone' was a precious feeling that couldn't be trampled upon with words like 'Get lost, who would like a freak like you?'

But he couldn't be overly gentle either, lest the other party misunderstand. So—

"Classmate Niu Dali." Su Yuchen's expression remained unchanged. "Thank you for liking me, but I'm sorry. My 'non-human' preference leans more towards vampires. I regret that I can't be your boyfriend."

"I wish you find true love."

"Thank you."

Receiving a response, the minotaur 'cute' girl briskly turned and left. Su Yuchen breathed a sigh of relief; as long as she wasn't the type to stubbornly persist.

"Junior brother with 'abnornmal orientation', so you like vampires?"
