Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Law fragment stage

Alan was shocked seeing the prices for time element related items. He could dream of such wealth only in dreams.

The elders sighed. "Little fella looks like you have to keep this new element aside for a long while. If you are lucky and happen to stumble upon a tier 5 treasure dungeon in the future you might be able to afford this."

"Don't worry. For now focus on increasing your other elements and force. We will now inform the guild leader and let him decide the rest." Saying this, Elder Dimo sent a detailed report about what happened here to the guild leader.

"Let's go back. We had made arrangements to set up a private elemental training room for you as per the contract. It should be ready by now."

They departed from the monument back to the guild base.

Meanwhile the whole world was still looking for clues about the new element. It was then someone found and shared the screenshot of the top of the element resource list of the origin shop.

The time element! The name of the new discovered element spread around like a wildfire. But the thing that shook the people the most were the absurd prices of the time element resources.

"How is someone going to afford that…."

"The pricing is so absurd that they had to introduce a new type of currency for transactions. This is insane…"

The crowd everywhere was discussing it.

Alan, oblivious to all this, reached back at the guild headquarters. He overheard everyone discussing it. He had now realised the commotion he had caused.

But he could only sigh for now. He won't be able to afford the resources any time soon. There may be other ways to acquire and increase mastery but those were out of his hands for now.

Elder Dimo went back to seclusion to stabilize his breakthrough, while elder Vlad took him to the element training room. This special training room helped one train his elemental and force mastery. This room was the main reason why many wanted to join the peak factions.

This room made use of a special formation and elemental stone to create a suitable elemental environment with pure element fluctuations to guide elemental mastery.

They arrived at the Titans element training centre where his personal rooms were arranged. He saw many people on the low floors exchanging contribution points for time in one of the chambers. It was more crowded here than the dungeon tower.

Elder took him through the elevator to the top floor. It was a restricted area only accessible to the elders and some high ranking members.

"You have been given enough clearance to access this area so you don't have to worry about trespassing." He brought him to chamber 34.

"This is your allocated room. Alright let me show you how to activate the formation." Elder Vlad then showed him how to activate and use the formation. He then turned to leave when he asked "is there anything you want to ask?"

Alan nodded. "Didn't you say to keep my new affinity a secret for now. What should I say if my brother asks me?"

"You don't have to worry, he is training under elder Raphael so he might already know about you. This info is kept among the upper echelons of the guild and he could be considered one."

"Is that so?" Alan muttered. He didn't know that his brother had a high standing in the guild.

"It's okay as long as it doesn't leak outside. Everyone who comes into contact with this info has to take an additional mana oath so don't worry about loose lips."

"Also Alan, the guild is ready to put resources for your growth without any restriction. This is in light of your extraordinary talent you have shown. When the time comes you will have to fight at the front for our guild and even for humanity. So don't ever think of slacking off."

"Yes sir." Alan replied with conviction.

"It's alright when you understand." Elder Vlad departed.

Alan sighed. He had to work hard to meet their expectations. He then looked at the formation. Alan decided to focus on increasing his mastery for the next few days.

He went over to the operating interface. He set the formation for the fire element environment. His aim for now is to increase his fire element mastery to the 50% state which is the law fragment stage.

He spent the rest of the day training his fire element affinity to that level.

He decided to call it a day when his mastery reached 30%. It was getting late and he decided to go back and rest.

The next day he successfully achieved a mastery of 50%. He stopped there because his body won't be able to handle any more than that. Any 1% increase after reaching the law fragment stage is a significant leap so he should not bite more than he could chew.

The current stage of law fragment is enough for him. He could make progress after reaching tier 2. Furthermore there are other elements waiting for him to gain mastery over.

For his next element he chose wind. Wind element when combined with fire element could boost his damage output by a lot. So he spent most of his time other than eating and sleeping to train his mastery over the elements.

He also spent some time training himself to efficiently apply his elemental mastery over his techniques. He even created some elemental skills himself. It won't be displayed on the skill section in the panel as it only showed conventional techniques that he has learnt.

The elemental techniques will be dependent on his mastery of that element so higher his mastery and comprehension higher his damage.

Finally after 3 days he raised his wind element, space element and speed force to the law fragment stage. The speed force mastery especially helped him increase his agility by a lot.

Now that he has achieved his goal he decided to focus on increasing his level next.
