Chapter 11 - 11 The Sword of Atlas

"Okay, first of all, his guards are not part of Atlas but are from the different families engaged with the administrator, so we have authorized killing them. They are highly skilled former special forces from different countries, but mostly are trained in CQB. Their standard issue weapons are automatic Glocks and MP5s, but disclaimer, the MP5s are only given to their sub-leaders and commanders. So we can say that they are under strict orders to protect him. So first, the Red Right Hand will be the one to catch their attention," he said, showing the floor plan and a picture of the estate.

"Is the area fully under lock with the reinforcements?" Graves asked since he would be the one leading the Alpha-1 task force and was afraid that if enemy reinforcement came at them, they would be besieged from the back and the front.

"Worry not, two companies from the SAF and some police will set up checkpoints to roads heading there in the hopes of holding their reinforcement off, but they said that they can hold them off for 10 minutes," he said and zoomed out into the neighborhood map, which marked them.

"The Wardens will be dropped off from the Blackhawk helicopter, and I want the Red Right Hand to make first contact and act as the diversion while the Wardens initiate the true attack on their rear. In cases, from the information given to me, that he will be brought to the bunker he has, but one of the field agents in their ranks changed the passcode to the bunker, so when they try to move him there, it's not possible anymore," Michael said.

"So our objective is making sure he's tortured for information and dies in that house while also retrieving documents that are needed to be investigated," Michael said, and Graves nodded in understanding. Rafael just witnessed it all and saw Michael head towards the helicopter landing zone to meet the Omega-1, or the Phantom Wardens.

"Alright, you have been briefed on the operation plan, so let's not waste any more time!" he shouted since, on the way, the squad was briefed on the plan and boarded the Blackhawks.

Graves boarded one of the three MRAPs, and the soldiers inside did last checks while they asked the person next to them if their exoskeleton was working. The difference in the exoskeletons is that the Wardens are outfitted with more stealth technology, while the Red Right Hand has the assault version, which is more centered on assault options like fast joints, extra magazine carry, more grenades, and more armor.

On the Blackhawk

"Hey Michael, how many hostiles can we expect?" Graves asked through the coms.

"Around 20-30 only, and lastly, the administrator is watching, so let's show a good show," Michael said as he pulled out an M6 PSD with a dark grey camo, equipped with a suppressor, thermal laser, and a 4x combat optic.

One Hour Later: Dean's Mansion Location, Claudius District

Police checkpoints with ready-made blockades were set up two hours earlier and inspected each car coming through, catching some people who were breaking a few laws.

In one of the checkpoints, black armored vehicles were allowed through as the officers at the checkpoint were alerted earlier. The three MRAPs sped through the empty streets, and as they turned a corner, the mansion had two iron gates. The lead vehicle took the farthest gate while the middle vehicle, followed by the third, rammed the nearest gate.

BOOM!

Soon, the armored vehicles rammed the gates, and the gunners, who were silent waiting to press the trigger, began firing onto the house. The bodyguards who were able to react on time suffered only grazes and took cover, while those who were caught off guard died after a few hits to the chest.

While in another location of the house, the field agents who were part of the bodyguards equipped themselves with smuggled guns and placed an Atlas arm band, then began firing onto the flanks of the bodyguards in front who were trying to find a time to fire back.

Inside the House

"Sir, we're under attack, please follow us to the bunker," the chief of security of the Dean, who was a tall American with a military background and the agent sent by the Zandria family to protect him, said.

"What! Who are the attackers!?" the Dean asked, clearly shocked as he was agitated for the past few days from the stress of betraying Atlas.

"We don't know, but the men who were guarding the front yard reported that the enemy has military-grade weapons, so all we can hope now is to transfer you to the bunker and wait for reinforcements," he replied since he was a Delta operator before retiring and serving the Zandria family, so he was sent here under orders to protect this man with a few other people from the different families.

"Let's get going!" the Dean shouted, and the guards who were stationed outside of his room, equipped with MP5s, began making way to the bunker room.

But when they arrived at the room, they tried inputting the passwords, but it failed. They tried it over and over again, but it failed.

Michael's POV

"Sir, they have begun their attack," one of the Warden operatives spoke, and Michael, who was resting his head on the rifle, looked up and spoke, "Okay, get us close and land there." I said to the pilot, who nodded.

When the helicopter slowly hovered a few meters above solid ground near the pool, the side doors opened, and the operatives dismounted. Soon, they formed a line of fire, and when they saw bodyguards emerging from the mansion, instead of pistols, they were equipped with MP5s and body armor.

"Open Fire!" Michael shouted and aimed his rifle, firing four shots, killing two guards. The Wardens aimed their guns and began firing .50 cal bullets, and thanks to their masks that gave good night vision and a targeting system, one of the Wardens brought out an EMP grenade that could shut down electrical currents at an entire house or a certain radius, and after throwing it—

A small explosion was heard, and the entire lights of the house shut down. The Wardens began advancing, and the bodyguards could only see neon violet lights outside. The guards felt fear first, but their experience overcame it and they began firing back, but the difference in firepower was shown as the mini-gun of the Blackhawk helicopter began firing in support.

BRRTTTTT!

The mini-gun somewhat released hell as the Wardens and Michael below advanced. Michael pulled out a grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it.

BOOOM!

After the explosion, the mini-gun also stopped firing when they reached near the house and saw the bodies of the bodyguards lying dead. Michael fired a few shots to make sure they were dead.

A second later, they saw a field agent appear with an armband identifying him.

"Where are they?" Michael asked the field agent.

"In the basement," the agent replied.

"How many?"

"Ten, but all are equipped with MP5s and Kevlar vests," he said.

"Okay, good work. Gather your men near the helicopter and prepare to exfil," Michael said and signaled the operatives to move in.

In the Basement

"Where are the reinforcements? It has been 10 minutes already!" the Dean shouted with fear taking over his body, but the chief of security was calm and looked over his phone since it was made out of anti-EMP material.

"We're currently stopped by the police and are being inspected one by one; even the Atlas security forces are also present," he received from the reinforcement commander reported through the text.

"It's Atlas; they're here to eliminate you," the chief of security announced, but this was an assumption since the Dean has a few enemies, but Atlas could be considered one of them. This kind of operation could be done by Atlas since the entire Southeast Asia is almost like a backyard to them.

He was already thinking that they were entering the wolf's den, but they forced their way into it. The other family members agreed to target the Dean, which could give them control over the school, but it was only a short amount of time since Atlas easily knows when rats appear, and they exterminate them with the hand of destruction.

'And they would replace this man with a person who has nothing to lose,' he thought, knowing that Atlas corrects the weakness of the previous position holder.

"EXECUTE!" A loud shout was heard, and soon the door leading to the basement bunker exploded into pieces. Soon, bullets rained from the entrance, hitting the bodyguards who were exposed, and those who were able to take cover began firing back.

"Move, move, move!" Michael shouted. Soon, the stack of soldiers on the other side began moving in, and when the bodyguards fired back, they saw their bullets doing nothing.

"Fucking hell, they're tanks!" one of the bodyguards shouted, but he was shot in the leg, and his body armor wasn't able to stop the .50 cal, so his body was riddled with bullets.

"I want the chief of security and Dean alive; we need information from them," Michael said through the radio. Down in the basement, a Warden operative grabbed a bodyguard's head and smashed it against the wall, and when it dropped onto the ground, he fired a few more shots to make sure he was dead.

The chief of security tried to fire his MP5, but a .50 cal was lodged into the gun, so he wasn't able to fire it. When he pulled out his pistol and fired a few shots at a Warden, the bullets just didn't harm the operative. The Warden wrestled the gun from him, but the chief received a punch to the stomach, and the strength from it caused him to fall to the ground.

When he looked, he saw Michael's fist coming down on him, and it knocked him unconscious, along with the last of the bodyguards.

"Make sure that every bodyguard except for the field agents are dead, and those who must return alive, I want answers," Rafael said through the radio.

Underground Command Center

Rafael was looking through the live footage in front of him, and it was showing different vital signs and body cameras.

"Sir, the enemy reinforcements forced their way through the checkpoints and blockades and are currently heading towards the estate as we speak," the drone operator, who was tasked to watch over the enemy convoy, said.

"Order Graves to prepare to fight them and send a QRF from the SAF who were stationed five minutes earlier from their location," Rafael said, and the communications liaison from the SAF nodded and began ordering the squad of SAF.

"Michael, how's the Dean? Is he still alive?" Rafael turned his chair to Michael's live combat footage.

"Yes sir, he's still breathing, just got hit on the shoulder," Michael replied as the operative patched up the man's shoulder.

"Bring him back, and we will have a torture room on standby, two in fact, so make sure that the chief of security has no suicide pill and make sure you search the entire house for anything valuable," Rafael ordered, and Michael nodded and soon ordered the field agents and selected Wardens to begin searching the house for anything valuable.

"Two of you, bring the two to the helicopter and make sure they can't escape," Michael said and placed a rubber on their mouths.

"Those who were not assigned to anything, follow me. We are going to assist the Red Right Hand," Michael said as they headed to the top floor of the mansion.

Graves' POV

"You two, get ready to block the incoming people," Graves ordered.

A few minutes later, two white vans were seen coming after turning a corner.

"Sir, two white vans heading towards the mansion," a gunner said.

"Okay, it's time," he said, and soon the MRAP drove out of the mansion and began firing on the white-tinted vans while the other two MRAPs began firing from the front yard.

Soon, the first van hit the brakes, and the vans behind it stopped. Behind them, two armored transports arrived, and the SAF troopers got out and began firing on the van. A second later, the people inside the van got out and began firing back, but this time they were properly armed.

"Damnit, they're Red Right Hand!" one of the guards said, and before he could reload, multiple bullets hit his head, and he died. Soon, Michael began laying suppressing fire from the rooftop.

Their commander soon realized that they were cut off from retreating, so they committed to a last stand since their pride was on the line. Soon, they were shot to the last man, and their vans were riddled with bullet holes, their bodies strewn.

"Let's get the hell out of here," Graves said, and Michael had already left after clearing the entire house. Soon, the SAF troopers took over and began making it look like a crime scene.

One Hour Later

Rafael received the news that reporters published the shootout as a battle against syndicates since they were officially registered as tourists with smuggled weapons. He also received a report from a field agent that his father tried using his connections to retrieve the bodies, but sadly, Rafael ordered them to be swiftly incinerated.

He ordered the footage from cameras to be wiped out, and Michael and Graves arrived, so he went out to meet with them.

"Okay, good work. Have the Defender Squadron send these two to Site Tartarus for any information, since they might break here, so it's better for them to break there, and any information that is documented coming out of his mouth goes to me before the council, and make sure he's alive till the end," Rafael ordered with a cold tone. The two saluted on instinct and made way for him to pass them.

To be continued.
