An innocent smile graced Jia Lingyi's face as she continued to stare at Lu Manman.
"Jia Lingyi, you....how can you be so shameless!" Lu Manman stomped her foot on the ground angrily.
This wasn't how she wanted things to play out! She just wanted to mock Jia Lingyi for not being able to afford a phone despite being a celebrity!
She definitely did not want to buy a phone for her!
Jia Lingyi blinked her eyes innocently.
"How am I shameless? You offered to buy the phone for me, and I took you up on the offer. Unless.....don't tell me you can't afford it, Lu Manman? You were always bragging about how much your parents gave you in allowance. Was all of that a lie?" Jia Lingyi blinked her eyes innocently, a taunting smile on her face.
"What nonsense are you saying?! Lu Manman's parents are very rich! Of course she can afford this phone, hmph!" Gu Xin spoke up for her best friend, not realizing that she was getting her in more trouble.
"Is that true? It seems like you are both lying. If your parents are that rich, then you should be able to pay for the phone, unless all of this was nothing but a lie and you...."
"I can afford it! It's just a phone! I'm not as poor as you, hmph!" Lu Manman, unable to take Jia Lingyi's provocation anymore, brought out her card and slammed it on her hand!
"Here's the card! I'll just take it as doing charity for the less fortunate!"
Her eyes were red, but Jia Lingyi just smiled in satisfaction.
Dealing with a bunch of arrogant kids was not a problem for her at all!

"Haha! Did you see her face, Lingyi? She looked like she was going to burst out crying! Haha!" Sun Miao laughed her heart out as she and Jia Lingyi walked out of the phone shop.
Jia Lingyi smiled mildly as Sun Miao did all of the talking.
She would have had to use up all of her savings to get the phone she wanted.
It was a good thing those girls just had to provoke her.
She would consider it as taking revenge for the original Jia Lingyi for whatever those kids had done to her!
"Lingyi, this is great! Don't let those girls walk all over you again! You need to stand up for yourself more and put them in their places, just like today!" Sun Miao carried on as they walked around the shopping complex.
Jia Lingyi stopped walking and turned to an excited Sun Miao.
"Was I .....was I that much of a pushover?" She asked.
Sun Miao, seeing the look on Jia Lingyi's face, shook her head.
She didn't want to make her friend even sadder.
"No, no, all of those people were mean and picked on you, it wasn't your fault!" She said.
Jia Lingyi looked away, not wanting to ask any more questions.
All of those things were already in the past.
Now that she had been given a second chance at life in this girl's body, she had to keep on living, and she had to live well!
Jia Lingyi's gaze fell on something just then, and she found herself drawn to it.
Without a single care in the world, she made her way towards the antique shop, a dazed look in her eyes.
"Hey, Lingyi, where are you going?!" Sun Miao called out as she went after her friend.
The antique shop had quite a few people in it, with people walking around, picking out what they liked.
Jia Lingyi only had eyes for a vase that was protected by a show glass, though.
The vase shone, and she could tell that it was of great quality!
Jia Lingyi bit her lips. Besides acting and singing, the only other thing she had enjoyed as Xia Mengqi was collecting antique items like vases.
She walked over to it, reaching out a hand to touch it through the show glass.
However, someone grabbed her hand just then.
"What do you think you're doing?!"
Jia Lingyi spun around, and her eyes went wide when she saw the man was a familiar face.
"It's you!" She exclaimed.
The same man she had met at the hospital, the one who had gotten angry when she mentioned Xia Mengqi!
It was him!
What kind of coincidence was this? How was it that she ran into this person a second time?!
Lui Zhiyuan stared at the young girl in front of him, trying to remember where he had seen her.
He frowned as it clicked in him, what was she doing here?
Taking a good look at her, she didn't look like she could afford anything here.
Besides....was she even an adult?!
"What are you doing here?" Lui Zhiyuan asked, his eyes fixed on the vase that she had been looking at.
He had gone through so much trouble just to find this vase, especially as it had been missing for a few decades!
He was not about to let her ruin his plans!
"I...." Jia Lingyi looked around, feeling guilty for some reason!
She looked up at the man, annoyed. She didn't even do anything, so why was he looking at her like that?!
"This is a shop! Anyone can come in, right?" She asked defiantly.
Lui Zhiyuan shook his head, deciding he didn't want to argue with a kid.
"Get away from that vase," he said coldly.
Ling'er would be mad if she knew that he had lost her favorite vase.
He had to get it back no matter what!
Jia Lingyi raised an eyebrow, extremely angry now.
This shop wasn't his property! What right did he have to say that?
"This is a beautiful vase, and I am sure that anyone else would want it. Why are you asking me to get away from it?!
"You.....what do you know about the vase?" Lui Zhiyuan asked her dismissively.
He didn't take her seriously at all.
Jia Lingyi turned to study the vase attentively.
"It doesn't look like much, but it's obvious that it's a very expensive antique piece. Plus, the design is from the Song dynasty. A vase like this....."
Jia Lingyi was still speaking when the man grabbed her arm again!
"What are you?! Why do you know so much?!"
