Chapter 11 - Welcome to the Family

Ji Yunhe paused, 'The second male lead? As is, the tragic boy with the dead sister, that Ning Xiaoran?'

[Uh-huh.] The system exaggeratingly let out a voice of confirmation.

Ji Yunhe turned her neck and peeked behind her. Noticing her movement, Ning Xiaoran lifted his lips higher, looking even more dashing than before.

He slightly waved his hand as if giving her the encouragement to go on, but Ji Yunhe didn't miss the underlying anticipation in his eyes.

He's in for the drama as well, huh. I'll deal with him later on.

For now… Ji Yunhe looked at the mission's interface hovering beside her.

[Mission Part 3: Beat up a person in front of the crowded public for no reason.]

She seemed to have found a suitable target for that.

With a hand, Ji Yunhe dragged her stool and approached the crowd, her presence loud and domineering. The wooden stool screeched against the cold ground, the noise slicing through the bustling air as all eyes moved to set on her ominous approaching figure.

"Mo Yunhe? What do you want?" With his hand still grasping Xu Ruohan's collar, Huo Bing's eyebrows shot up in vigilance.

Everyone knew that the Mo's pampered unruly princess, Mo Yunhe, only set her evil eyes on Xu Nian and her only. Whatever Xu Nian wanted, she would seize, and whatever that she couldn't obtain with force, she'd destroy.

As long as there's Xu Nian, there would no longer be a place for another person to enter her eyes. That's how Mo Yunhe solidified her reputation as the number one hooligan in the academy.

Huo Bing thought that the reason why Mo Yunhe was here was none other than to bash on Xu Nian, as always. That was why he was caught completely off guard when Ji Yunhe raised her stool and swung it in his direction.

The stool hit against the side of his arm with a loud crash, hurling Huo Bing onto the ground, writhing in pain. The wooden stool itself was broken in a few points, splinters flying in the air as it became a completely useless instrument to be sat on.

Ji Yunhe clicked her tongue, expressing her distaste. '250 yuan for such trash that breaks with one hit? Truly a black-hearted seller!'

"Mo Yunhe…" Huo Bing hissed through gritted teeth, his other arm holding desperately onto his broken arm, sleeves covered in flowing blood.

"Are you crazy? Xu Nian is standing over there!" He pointed at the unharmed Xu Nian standing by the side. Xu Nian looked over in disbelief, shoulders trembling like a frightened little animal.

She quickly hid behind Li Mubai, assurance washing over her only after the man's soothing smell settled in her nerves.

Everyone looked at the bloodied man as if he's a moron. What did he even mean by that?

"Ah Bing!" A horrified scream took their attention away as Ji Manman rushed to Huo Bing's side, carrying him into her arms. It was only then did the severity of the matter sink into them.

"Quick, call the medics." No one knew who that shout came from as the crowd scattered in all directions, some to call for help while the others simply didn't want to get dragged into the mess.

Meanwhile, the exact perpetrator to all this bloody mess, Ji Yunhe, merely glanced at the bloodied Huo Bing and the weeping Ji Manman with the indifference of a passerby.

With tears streaking down her dolled up face, Ji Manman glared back at her with burning hatred. "Mo Yunhe, what the hell is wrong with you? Do you know that intentionally harming your classmates might send you behind the bars? Also, I don't remember ever offending you–"

Ji Manman immediately lost her voice, her throat blocked by the air of fright when she met Ji Yunhe's deadly eyes.

Chills ran across her spine as she felt her blood running cold, as if she knew that if she were to continue yapping around, she would be no more than a dead meat on a cutting board the second later.

A chilling smile bloomed across Ji Yunhe's enchanting face as she took in Ji Manman's cowardice. She reasoned out with a shrug, "He was in my way, and I'm getting late and uneasy… That's all."

Ji Manman was left speechless, temples throbbing as she clenched her teeth. "You…"

"How can you be so unreasonable? Do you not fear the laws?" She pointed a trembling finger at her, rage boiling in her blood.

At her supposedly righteous words, Ji Yunhe couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Student Ji, this is where you get it wrong. Even student gangster here knew that this is a lawless society we're living in, therefore the unrestrained violence towards this four eyed student."

Ji Yunhe pointed at the silent Xu Ruohan, her head down and hand covering the burning slap on her cheek. Upon being mentioned, Xu Ruohan raised her swollen eyes and coldly looked at Ji Manman.

"That… That's not the same. It's their family matter!" Ji Manman retorted, her dolled-up face fuming red.

Ji Yunhe let out a smirk, "Oh? I don't mind becoming family with you if that means I can beat you every day, every week, every minute and every second. So… welcome to the Mo family I guess?"

Ji Manman was utterly tongue tied, looking so shocked as if her soul had just left her body.

Suddenly, the system's notification sounded out, a heaven-like bell that only Ji Yunhe could hear.
