Cherreads

Chapter 2 - chapter 2 landed in the world

The sky of Pentos burned orange, the sea breeze thick with salt and secrets.

Vamsi D. Dragon stood at the edge of a sunlit, overlooking the Free City's sprawling rooftops and distant harbor. His black coat fluttered gently in the wind. The portal had closed behind him—no way back.

Vamsi (stretching slightly):

"Finally… that void ride was longer than expected."

System (neutral tone):

"Void traversal complete. Host has successfully arrived."

Vamsi:

"Alright then—what world are we in, System?"

System:

"You are now in the Game of Thrones universe. TV series version."

Vamsi (grinning):

"Nice. And what year?"

System:

"One year before Daenerys Stormborn is married to Khal Drogo.

Currently, she and her brother Viserys are guests of Illyrio Mopatis."

Vamsi (thoughtful):

"So she's still untouched by war… but on the edge of fate. That means I've got time to move."

The air in Pentos was alive with tension. Traders shouted in Valyrian and Common Tongue. Slaves carried silk bundles through narrow alleys. Beyond the red palace walls, the Targaryens were pawns in a plan neither of them fully understood.

System:

"Current location: Northern district of Pentos."

Vamsi:

"Good… Looks exactly like I imagined it."

He inhaled deeply. The scents, the sounds, the weight of the world—it was all real now. But before he could carve his name into it...

Vamsi (serious):

"Before I look for Daenerys… I need to understand what this new body can do."

System:

"Acknowledged. Entering Training Mode. Activating Shadow Field—perception of nearby civilians will be blocked temporarily."

The shadows rippled beneath his feet. Black mist coiled around his hands. Somewhere within, the essence of Ashborn stirred—silent, ancient. Rimuru's infinite potential waited like still water. The twelve talismans buzzed beneath his skin like runes etched into his bones.

Vamsi (smirking):

"Alright then… show me what I've become."

[Scene: Divine Realm, Moments Before Landing]

Beyond the mortal world, in the deep veils of reality where time bends and gods whisper, the Old Gods of Westeros stirred.

Something… wrong had entered the weave.

Old God of the Trees:

"Why do I feel the weight of death pressing upon us?"

God of Rivers and Blood:

"The future—it's… dissolving. Who dares tamper with our threads?"

God X (snarling):

"Who the fuck is shaking the very roots of fate?!"

God Y (trembling):

"I don't want to die…"

Suddenly, the void trembled. A voice echoed—calm, cold, absolute.

System (omnipresent):

"Submit… or die. Serve me, or be erased. You have one choice."

The gods stilled.

Old God T (laughing):

"A joke? You mock us, unseen voice?"

God E:

"You dare demand submission from us? We are divine!"

Laughter rang out like thunder through the void.

System (mocking):

"Okay… good. Good."

The space around the gods shattered—reality bent, then broke. They found themselves sealed in a System Domain. Time stopped. Power drained.

And in the sky above them, something descended.

A Shadow walked calmly in midair. Its form was unclear—smoke and void, shaped like a man, but deeper than night. The pressure alone shattered stars.

The gods trembled.

God R (panicking):

"We surrender!"

Old God T:

"We… we will be your slaves!"

The Shadow said nothing at first. It stood still, hovering above all things like judgment incarnate.

Then it spoke.

Shadow:

"One question was asked… and you chose arrogance. Now you beg."

A wave of divine fear rippled. Some gods turned to run.

They didn't get far.

The Shadow opened its mouth—no lips, no teeth, just a chasm—and devoured them.

No blood. No screams. Just deletion.

Shadow (turning away):

"My work here is done."

But as it walked back into the dark, it paused.

Shadow (to itself):

"The host may enjoy toys... perhaps you're worth sparing."

With a thought, it restored the surviving gods.

They reappeared—kneeling, sweating, broken in soul.

Old Gods (in unison):

"Master."

Shadow:

"Good. Good."

They flinched. That word would forever haunt them.

Shadow:

"You are my slaves now. Rule your domains, but do not interfere with the host's journey. When he comes to you… obey. If not…"

A pause.

Shadow (softly):

"You'll wish I devoured you the first time."

The gods bowed lower, shadows of their former pride.

The system faded from the divine realm… returning to the mortal world.

[Back to Vamsi – Entering Pentos]

System:

"Power calibration complete.

Training Mode ready.

Westeros now belongs to your shadow, host."

Vamsi (eyes glowing):

"Let's begin"

.....

[System Space: Training Realm]

A shimmering field stretched endlessly—black skies above, silver mist on the ground. Time did not move here. Reality itself bent to thought.

System:

"Welcome to the System Space, host.

Here, you can create or destroy anything. This realm will adapt to your power—no limit, no consequences."

Vamsi D. Dragon looked around, eyes sharp with curiosity.

Vamsi:

"So I can test anything… even life forms?"

System:

"Anything you imagine will take shape. Your thoughts are commands in this space."

Vamsi grinned.

Vamsi:

"Alright then… give me a challenge. Let's start with a dinosaur."

The air twisted—then roared.

A massive Tyrannosaurus rex, with teeth like blades and skin like stone, burst into the space. Its reptilian eyes locked on Vamsi, and it let out a thunderous roar.

It charged.

Vamsi didn't move.

He stood calmly as the beast sprinted toward him, rage in every step.

Vamsi (quietly):

"Try to injure me."

The dinosaur's colossal jaws clamped down on Vamsi's upper body—crushing pressure meant to snap steel.

But instead…

CRACK

The T-Rex recoiled, eyes wide in pain. Blood dripped from its gums. It spat out Vamsi and backed away, trembling.

Vamsi landed softly, untouched.

A dark smile crossed his face.

Vamsi:

"So this is the power of… Ashborn. Rimuru. The Talismans."

The dinosaur whimpered.

Vamsi stepped forward.

He lifted one hand, slowly, gathering strength.

Vamsi (flatly):

"Let's test 10%."

His fist slammed forward, air screaming with force.

The blow didn't just hit the dinosaur—it obliterated it.

The beast's body shattered, torn into countless fragments and scattered across the space. It never even had time to roar.

System (coolly):

"Impact: 10% of host's current potential.

Target: eliminated beyond recovery.

Psychological effect on enemy: complete fear."

Vamsi looked at his hand. Calm. Controlled.

Vamsi:

"Satisfying. I'm ready to return."

System:

"Understood, host. Transporting you back to the Game of Thrones world."

[Pentos, Essos – Return]

The mist vanished. Sunlight kissed Vamsi's face. The smell of salt and spice filled the air.

He stood in the heart of Pentos now—a foreigner, cloaked in mystery, brimming with power.

Vamsi D. Dragon:

"Before I begin searching for Daenerys… I think I'll change a few things."

....

[Pentos, Essos – Streets ]

Vamsi:

"System, can I change my clothes? Something simple. Stylish. Black suit."

System:

"Request acknowledged."

In a shimmer of energy, Vamsi's casual wear morphed into a sleek, midnight-black suit—tailored perfectly to his physique. He looked like royalty walking through the streets.

Vamsi (smirking):

"Now that feels right."

"System, I need money. And I don't understand the local language yet."

System:

"Understood.

Transferring 100 million gold coins to your system wallet.

Also, due to your skill Adaptability, you can now understand and speak any language fluently."

Vamsi:

"Perfect. You're doing well, System."

System (calmly):

"Serving the host is my responsibility."

[City Streets – Searching for a Place]

Vamsi strolled through the bustling streets of Pentos, attracting the gaze of passersby with his aura and presence.

He stopped in front of a small shop selling silks and spices. A merchant stood outside, arranging fabrics.

Vamsi:

"Hello. I'm new in the city. I need a villa—something private and elegant.

I'll pay one gold coin if you take me to a place worth renting."

The merchant's eyes widened.

Merchant (greedy grin):

"Of course, my lord! Name's Bartho. You've come to the right man! Come with me—I'll show you the finest villa in all of Pentos!"

[Property Office – Villa Rentals]

Bartho led Vamsi through winding streets until they reached a marble office building.

Inside, a well-dressed young woman approached with a polite bow.

Employee:

"Welcome, my lord. I'm Selena. Are you here to purchase property or rent?"

Vamsi:

"Rent. I want the best villa available—for one month. No compromises."

Selena:

"Understood, my lord. Follow me. It is expensive, but it offers absolute privacy and comfort."

Vamsi (coolly):

"Price is not a problem."

He flicked the gold coin to Bartho, who caught it with a delighted chuckle and bowed.

Bartho: "Pleasure doing business, lord!"

[Pentos Villa – Arrival]

The villa sat on a hill overlooking the sea, surrounded by palm trees, marble columns, and tall iron gates. Inside: opulent halls, velvet curtains, scented baths, and a private training yard.

Selena:

"This is Azure Crest Villa, my lord. It is usually reserved for nobility or foreign dignitaries. The cost is ten gold coins per month."

Vamsi (hands over coins):

"Done. I want no disturbances for the next thirty days."

Selena (bowing):

"Understood, Lord Vamsi. The villa is yours."

Vamsi entered the villa alone, closing the doors behind him.

Vamsi (to System):

"Now… let's begin"
