Chapter 48 - Put Away Your Haughty Attitudes, Let Imu Come!

Kujaku sudden appearance and her exclamation of "Well done!" immediately fried the CPU's of both Vice Admiral Tsuru and Kong. The two elderly figures, whose combined age was nearly two hundred, turned their heads to the side, their facial muscles twitching uncontrollably.

"Kujaku, if you don't want to be hung out to dry, shut up!"

After promptly scolding her granddaughter, who was growing up and becoming less obedient, Vice Admiral Tsuru immediately turned her gaze to Orion, whom she had once held high hopes for but who had now staged a coup.

She wanted to say something, but the words caught in her throat and she swallowed them back. At this point, anything she said would be meaningless.

Orion also broke his silence, stepping forward to face Kong.

"Commander Kong, long time no see. Are you here on orders, or simply to ask me why It come to this?"

"I am the Commander-in-Chief of the World Goverment!" Kong suppressed the anger in his heart and spoke in a deep voice.

"You've caused such a huge commotion—how could I not intervene?"

"Let me go! Let me go! Ouch, my hand… my hand is about to break!"

At that moment, a sudden wail echoed through the air. Soon after, Spandam with half his face covered in a leather mask, was forcibly dragged over by two members of the God Knights.

"ORION!"

As Spandam was brought before Orion, he was overwhelmed by the fear of death. Although this was his first time meeting Orion, he immediately recognized him and frantically lunged forward, clinging to Orion's leg. Trembling, he pleaded.

"Lord Orion, this has nothing to do with me! Please spare me! I swear I'll never seek revenge against you!"

"What are you doing here?" Orion frowned deeply, surprised that the God Knights had brought Spandam over. He spoke in a low voice.

"I want his head, not to listen to him wail in front of me!"

Hearing this, the two God Knights who had brought Spandam immediately looked up at Shamrock. Shamrock said nothing, only giving a slight nod.

Seeing this, one of the God Knights wasted no time. He dragged Spandam away and with a swift motion, drew his sword and struck.

"Disgusting!"

Orion lifted his foot, muttered those two words, and then stepped onto the moving walkway.

"Orion, wait for me~" As soon as Orion stepped onto the walkway, before Gion and the three Admirals could follow, Kujaku quickly ran toward him. However, just as she was about to get close, Gunko, who had already positioned himself beside Orion, stopped her.

"You can't follow!" Kujaku expression darkened as she was forcibly halted.

"Why can't I? I'm a captain in the 'SWORD' Unit!"

Hearing this, Orion, who had already distanced himself from the others on the walkway, turned back helplessly.

"Kujaku, this isn't the time for nonsense. Go back."

"Oh~" Under Orion gaze, Kujaku swallowed her retort and reluctantly returned to Tsuru side.

Gion, who had been standing silently nearby, didn't greet Vice Admiral Tsuru.

Although she was closest to Tsuru personally, as Orion had said, this wasn't the time for casual conversation. After a silent glance at Vice Admiral Tsuru, Gion didn't linger. She walked past Tsuru and Kong alongside the three Admirals.

"Garp, you stay!" As Sengoku, Zephyr, and Garp were about to pass by, Kong suddenly spoke up.

"You can't see the person Orion is about to meet!"

Garp abruptly looked up, his eyes wide as he stared directly at Kong.

"Why can't I?"

Kong expression was grave.

"Because you're a D!"

Upon hearing this, Sengoku, who was walking alongside Garp, suddenly halted and looked up at Kong, somewhat taken aback.

"Kong-san, did you already know that there is a mysterious figure behind the Five Elders?"

Facing Sengoku question, Kong shook his head and sighed, his tone softening as he glanced at the young figure slowly moving away on the automated walkway.

"Perhaps you knew about it even earlier than I did."

"Understood" Sengoku nodded, then turned and quickly walked onto the automated walkway with Zephyr.

Garp didn't follow.

Instead, he looked at Kong with dissatisfaction, wanting to vent but ultimately holding back. Although he was already in his seventies, Garp was still considered young in front of Kong, who was nearing the age of a hundred.

Of course, age wasn't the issue, the key point was that Kong was not only his superior but also his mentor.

Kong ignored Garp displeased gaze, his arms crossed as he watched the figure gradually recede on the walkway, a trace of unprecedented confusion flickering in his eyes. Until he learned of the mysterious existence of Im, Kong had been thinking about how to salvage the situation.

As the Commander-in-Chief, he had to take full responsibility for the coup at Marine Headquarters, even if it meant eventually clashing with Orion, who controlled the Marines.

But after discovering that there was a mysterious figure above the Five Elders, his initial shock gradually turned into confusion. He was momentarily unsure of what the right course of action should be.

Unlike Garp, Kong wanted to see this mysterious figure who stood above the Five Elders with his own eyes.

However, the Five Elders had explicitly forbidden both him and Vice Admiral Tsuru from getting involved.

Unless he staged a coup like Orion, he had no choice but to follow orders.

...

Accompanied by Gunko and Shamrock, Orion rode the automated walkway into the sacred Pangaea Castle. He looked up at the grand World Government Headquarters building ahead, then quickly scanned his surroundings, unable to help but exclaim.

"Such a vast and beautiful piece of land, yet it's only inhabited by a group of Celestial Dragons. What a waste."

As soon as Orion finished speaking, a group of figures suddenly emerged from the gates of the World Government Headquarters. At the forefront were none other than the Five Elders, the apparent highest authority.

The first to step out was Topman Warcury, the Warrior God of Justice.

Following closely behind were Shepherd Ju Peter, the Warrior God of Agriculture.

Jaygarcia Saturn, the Warrior God of Science and Defense.

Marcus Mars, the Warrior God of the Environment.

Bringing up the rear was Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, the Warrior God of Finance, who carried a katana and wore a grim expression.

As the Five Elders stepped out, they lined up with Topman Warcury at the center. Standing shoulder to shoulder, the overwhelming presence of the world's apparent highest authority immediately surged forth, stirring the air beneath their feet and creating visible ripples.

Just as the Five Elders came to a halt, Figarland Garling, the leader of the God Knights, promptly led several members of the God Knights to take their positions beside the Five Elders.

Standing on the steps, they looked down at Orion from their elevated position.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, quite the spectacle" Orion remarked.

Sensing the surrounding air suddenly solidify, Orion narrowed his eyes slightly.

The Conqueror's Haki within him quietly erupted, instantly dispersing the invisible pressure that had caused the air to momentarily freeze. He then raised his head, his gaze fixed on the Five Elders and the God Knights, whose positions still held a semblance of dignity.

His aura continued to surge, forcefully suppressing the imposing presence of his opponents.

"A wise man does not stand beneath a crumbling wall."

"If I dare to come here, it means not only can you not keep me, but you might all be wiped out by me!"

Before the words had even finished, the overwhelming Conqueror's Haki surged like a tidal wave, engulfing the Five Elders and Garling.

Immediately after, Orion stepped forward one hand resting on the hilt of his sword at his waist.

"Put away your condescending attitudes. You are not qualified to negotiate with me from a position of strength or status."

At this point, Orion abruptly raised his head, enunciating each word clearly.

"Bring Imu here!"
