Present:
The golden morning, sun gently filtered through the narrow gap in the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room. The wall clock ticked past 10, but time seemed irrelevant here. Jimin and Jungkook lay intertwined on the bed, their bodies a perfect fit, lost in a peaceful slumber.
Last night had been a revelation. They had shared their pasts, their pains, finding solace in each other's presence. The hours slipped away unnoticed, and by the time they succumbed to sleep, it was past two in the morning. Now, wrapped in each other's warmth, they slept soundly, the world outside fading into oblivion.
On the nightstand, two phones lay side by side. One buzzed intermittently, but neither dreamer stirred—perhaps it was on silent. After a while, the second phone rang loudly, its high-pitched ringtone slicing through the silence. Jungkook's sleep was broken as he reached out instinctively, only to realize the phone was on the other side of the bed.
Opening his eyes, he took in his surroundings and recognized that he was not in his own room. The call had ended, and as he looked down, he saw Jimin still sleeping soundly, a serene expression on his face. Jungkook admired his features, cherishing the peaceful moment.
Just then, the phone rang again, this time louder and more insistent. Irritated, Jungkook carefully shifted Jimin to the side, who instinctively hugged the pillow in his sleep, seeking comfort. Amused, Jungkook chuckled softly and groggily reached for his phone, still half asleep, annoyed at the intrusion.
"Whoever you are, it's really not the right time to disturb someone on a peaceful early morning," he grumbled, his voice thick with sleep. The person on the other end of the line hesitated before speaking.
"Sir... I mean, Mr. Jeon, you have a lunch meeting ... It's important," came the tentative response.
Jungkook's eyes shot open, fully awake now, and he snapped, "Who the heck are you?"
The person on the other end sounded flustered. "Mr. Jeon, I... I'm your new secretary."
Jungkook blinked, his irritation easing just a bit. He was still trying to process the sudden wake-up call. "Okay, what's going on? What do you need?"
"Mr. Jeon ,today you have a lunch meeting with Mr. Kim Namjoon and his team at 11 AM in the Grand Angels centre Block."
Jungkook rubbed his face, trying to shake off the sleepiness. "Alright, we've got plenty of time," he muttered, though his mind was still foggy. "Just make sure the documents are ready and meet me half an hour before the meeting at meeting place."
The secretary hesitated and confused at same time but he answered. "Sir, it's already past 10 AM. We have only 40 minutes until the meeting."
Jungkook's eyes snapped to the clock. "10:19?" Panic hit him like a wave. He immediately yelled into the phone, "You idiot! Why didn't you call me earlier? when You knew the meeting was up today! You should've told me yesterday!"
The secretary, now completely panicked, stammered, "I... I tried calling you at night sir, and also at morning but you didn't answer! So I called Mr. Park's number instead..."
Jungkook glanced at the phone in his hand, and his stomach dropped. Oh no. It was Jimin's phone. He had answered Jimin's phone by mistake.
He quickly tried to cover up, feeling the heat rise in his cheeks. "Uh, yeah, that was Jimin's phone. Our phones got mixed up. About the meeting tomorrow... uh, never mind." He cleared his throat, scrambling for something to say. "Call my dad to join the meeting and brief him on the projects. I'll join you later."
He ended the call, his heart still racing. Then, as he turned around, he froze. There, sitting at the edge of the bed, was Jimin, looking at him with an amused smirk on his face.
Jungkook's heart skipped a beat, and his face immediately flushed. "Jimin... you're up already?" he stammered, trying to act like he was in control of the situation.
Jimin raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying himself. "When someone shouts like that, who can not, even my neighbors wake up," he teased, his grin growing wider.
Jungkook groaned, now fully embarrassed. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to wake you..." he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
Jimin laughed, clearly enjoying the moment. "It's okay, Kook. I'm just messing with you." He stood up, stretching lazily. "But seriously, do you yell like that every morning? I'm starting to think you're an alarm clock in morning for neighbours."
Jungkook let out a small chuckle, but then his mind raced back to the meeting. " Jimin, we need to get ready fast. We have a meeting at 11 AM."
Jimin, still grinning, nodded. "Yeah, I heard you shouting in call." He walked over to Jungkook with an exaggerated yawn and said ,"Alright, let's get moving ,you can use washroom in here, I'll going downstairs."jungkook nodded and walked toward the washroom.

As Jungkook stepped out of the bathroom, he found Jimin already dressed, standing near the door with keys in hand. His usual calm demeanor was back in place, and there was no sign of the earlier teasing in his eyes—just quiet focus.
"Ready?" Jimin asked, his voice steady.
Jungkook, still feeling the weight of his earlier blunders, nodded. "Yeah, let's go," he said, grabbing his jacket from the couch.
They stepped outside into the bright morning. The cool air bit just enough to keep them alert as they got into the car. Jungkook slid into the driver's seat, his eyes narrowing in focus as he gripped the wheel. Jimin sat in the passenger seat, watching him quietly.
The car hummed steadily down the road. Halfway there, Jungkook finally broke the silence with a frustrated sigh.
"I seriously can't believe I answered your phone like that. " Jungkook admitted, cringing at the memory.
Jimin, who had been silently observing him, was startled at first. After a beat, he let out a laugh, the sound light and teasing. "You're lucky it wasn't someone else who picked up," he said, his grin spreading.
"Yeah…" Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck, still wincing. "I've never felt so dumb."
Jimin shot him a quick grin. " hey, it's fine, Don't overthink it."
Jungkook nodded, turning his attention back to the road. The quiet settled between them again, the tension from earlier slowly easing.
As they neared their destination, the bustling city streets gave way to quieter, more refined roads, and the towering building came into view. Jungkook glanced over at Jimin. "You good?" he asked, knowing that Jin would also be at the meeting.
Jimin took a deep breath, nodding. "Yeah, I think so." he said, his voice low. He knew the past was behind him, and he understood it wasn't Jin's fault that his father had cheated on his mother. Still, the weight of it all lingered.
Jungkook, sensing Jimin's unease, offered him a reassuring smile. "You'll be fine. Trust me."
Jimin nodded in return, his expression softening as the car pulled into the parking lot. The lot was busy, filled with cars, but Jungkook quickly found a spot and parked. They both climbed out of the car, and with a sense of urgency, Jungkook led the way inside.
As soon as they entered the building, an employee spotted them immediately, approaching with a polite, professional air. "Mr. Jeon, please, this way," the man said, leading them toward the conference room.
Jungkook shot a quick glance at Jimin, whose small smile conveyed a silent message: You take the lead.
They walked down the corridor, and as they reached the door to the conference room, Jungkook hesitated for a brief moment. Peeking inside, he saw the group already deep in conversation. Namjoon was seated at one end of the table with a few of his team members around him. Next to him, Jin—his husband—was chatting animatedly with Jungkook's father, who sat at the other end of the table. Jungkook's secretary sat nearby, looking slightly uncomfortable, and a few others were scattered around, awaiting the start of the meeting.
Realizing they were a late, Jungkook cleared his throat and pushed the door open. Heads turned at the sound.
"Sorry, we're late," Jungkook said with an apologetic yet composed tone.
"It's okay," Namjoon said, offering him an understanding smile. "We're just getting started."
Jimin stepped in beside Jungkook, giving a small bow to the room. "Sorry for the delay," he added lightly, offering a polite smile.
The group nodded in acknowledgment. Jungkook's father, ever the professional, gave a slight nod before gesturing for him to sit. "Sit down, son. Let's get continue with this."
Jungkook walked over and took a seat next to his father, while Jimin settled into the chair beside him—his presence a quiet comfort.
The meeting continued without much disruption, the conversation flowing smoothly between Jungkook, Namjoon, his father, and the rest of the team. Everyone discussed the project and future plans, offering input.
In middle of meeting Jungkook notice, the tension between Jimin and Jin ,Jimin remained calm, much more composed than the last time they'd met.he can say Jimin's gaze held a quiet recognition of changed demeanor, but The silent exchange was enough to intensify the tension between them.
As the meeting wrapped up, everyone stood, stretching and moving around as the mood shifted from business to casual.
Jungkook's father patted him on the shoulder. "Good work today. You handled yourself well," he said with a satisfied nod.
Jungkook smiled in return, his gratitude evident. "Thanks, Dad."
Jimin, who had been silently watching the exchange, caught Jungkook's eye. He offered him a small smile, one that said more than words ever could. Jungkook returned the look, his expression soft with appreciation.
