Chapter 13 - The Maid

Bella

"No matter what, don't come out of this room okay?" Her mother said she was breathing heavily while trying to hide her 10 years old daughter somewhere in the unsafe house.

"But why are you going mom? Stay too please?" Her daughter begged her mother through sobs.

" I can't my love I can't-" her mother tried to say but she broke down into tears.

"Let's hide together mom please. Let's hide under the bed together, okay? " The girl managed to say also trying to stay strong for her mother.

"No, my love. I can't- " before her mother could complete the sentence, they both flinched hearing a loud growl from outside of the room.

Looking back at her little daughter, she tried to take in the beautiful features of her. Brown doe eyes, dark brown hair. She totally resembled her mother. She caressed her hair and pulled her closer.

"I love you, Bella. You are so beautiful. Always stay strong, okay?" The mother managed to say through her sobs.

" Why are you saying that mom? You will come back to me, right? " The little girl looked up at her mom through tears.

"I can't sleep alone mom. I'm scared," She cried out as she wrapped her little hands around her mother's waist, burying her face in her mother's belly.

"No baby you are strong," her mother whispered. Holding her daughter's chin, she looked down into her brown doe eyes.

"Do you love me, Bella?" Her mother asked.

"I love you so much mom. " The little girl said.

"Then don't come out of the room, okay?" Her mother said between her sobs.

" No mom please. Please stay. I'm hungry mom. You said you will make me my favorite dish," the girl insisted her mom to stay. Big tears fell down her cheeks, but she cared less to wipe them away.

Her mother closed her eyes, not being able to take this anymore.

"If you love me Bella, don't go out. I will come back, okay? I will make you your favorite dish, we will eat together, and we will go to the supermarket tomorrow, okay?" Her mother cried out while kissing her daughter everywhere on the face.

"Do you promise?" The little girl held out her pinky finger, waiting for her mother to hold it and promise her.

The mother stared at her little finger before engulfing the little hand in her big one and kissed her little fingers one by one. Looking back at her she noticed the big tears coming out of her daughter's doe eyes so she quickly wiped them away.

"Please, mom, stay with me... Let's hide together please mom please..." The little girl kept crying and begging her mother to stay as if it was prayer.

Her mother just looked at her before bringing her into a tight hug. They both cried in each other's embrace, not wanting to let go.

Pulling out, her mother wiped away her own tears before kissing her daughter's forehead and cheeks. "Always remember Bella, you are beautiful, and you deserve all love and support. You are strong, confident. You are not like me." Her mother looked into her daughter's eyes.

" I want to be like you mom." The little girl cried out.

"You can't Bella. You are strong my love. I am weak. " It was like a whisper, but the little girl heard it. " Now stay here, okay? Don't go out!" Without waiting for any reply, her mother ran out of the room, closing the door from behind.

The daughter waited and waited. She heard screams of agony, she heard her mother's begging, she heard her mother's cries every second. She heard her father cursing. She heard the noise of the belt. The little girl tried to close her eyes, bringing her hands to her ears to stop everything. She wanted to go and help her mother. But she loved her mother, and she promised her mother that she wouldn't go out. Tears kept falling from her doe eyes. She knew her mother was in pain. But she couldn't do anything. She just cried.

After a long time, everything stopped. The cries, the begging, the cursing. It was all silent. She waited, her eyes glued to the old door hoping for her mother to come back and hug her. But her mother never came.

She slowly walked over to the door and unlocked it. No one was there. As if the house was totally empty. But she knew her mother wouldn't go anywhere without her.

She slowly walked over to her father's room. The door was already unlocked. The little girl slowly pushed the door and peeked into the room.

The little girl didn't understand anything. She saw her mother lying down on the floor beside a belt. Her whole body was red. red liquid all around her mother's sleeping body.

She quickly ran towards her mom.

"Mom, wake up! Dad is not home." The little girl whispered to her mother's ear as she patted her mother's cheeks with her small hands.

But her mother didn't wake up. The little girl rubbed her own belly as her stomach was growling in hunger. She didn't eat anything for hours. Her mother promised to make her favorite dish.

"Mom, I am hungry. Please wake up. Dad is not home." The girl whispered again, shaking her mom's sleeping body back and forth.

"Mom please!!" The little girl started to shake her mom even more, but her mom didn't response.

"Mom, you promised me you would come back. Why are you sleeping? Wake up please! Dad will be home anytime. Let's leave before he comes. Please mom!" The little girl cried out, waiting for a single response from her mother.

"Mom please..."

"Wake up mom!"

"You promised mom."

"Mom"

" Mom"

" Mom!! "

I shot up straight on my bed, panting to take in deep breath. I looked around. I was in my room. My body was wet from my sweat. I ran my hands over my face. Closing my eyes, tears started to run down my cheeks. I had a nightmare again. But I wished they were nightmares.

Removing the blanket from my body, I unlocked the door and ran down the stairs. Everyone was sleeping. Mr. LaRusso wasn't in the mansion either. Opening the glass door, I ran into the garden. Tears kept falling down my eyes as I brought my hand up and placed it over my mouth to stop myself from sobbing. I was strong. My mom said I was strong. But she was stronger.

I looked up at the night sky, trying to stop the tears from falling. The night sky was shimmering. It looked so beautiful. I wished I could fly to the sky. I wished I could run away from this world. I was feeling suffocated, I felt trapped.

I clutched my hair in a tight grip as I tried to forget everything. My heart ached. I wanted to run away from everything. I wanted someone to drag me out of this hell.

I wasn't strong mom. I was a coward. I was broke. I was helpless. I couldn't save you mom. I heard your screams, I heard you begs but I couldn't save you. I hid in the room when you were being tortured. I heard everything mom. And now those memories don't let me live.

My eyebrows frowned. I felt someone's presence behind me. I quickly turned around to see the angelic face shining under the night sky. His face held the same devilish smirk. But as soon as he saw my tears, the smirk dropped as worry and confusion took all over his face. He took steps towards me before he stopped just inches away from me. His worried blue eyes looking directly into mine as if they wanted to read my brown eyes. Under the moonlight, he just looked like an angel who came down to earth to drag me away from this hell.

Both of his hands came up before softly holding my cheeks in between them. This time, I didn't back away. Instead, I leaned more into his soft touch like a kitten craving for comfort. His thumb softly rubbed my cheeks. His cold blue eyes never leave my brown ones. His eyebrows frowned in worry. I could feel his mint fresh breath, his rich cologne, I felt his warmth soothing my mind, heart and body. A small smile made its way on my lips as I kept looking into his blue eyes, seeking more comfort and warmth.

"It was just a dream. You're fine now." He said softly. His angelic voice immediately soothed me as I released a deep breath.

I wanted to tell him that it wasn't a bad dream. It wasn't a nightmare. It was my past hunting for me every night. It was my past that never let me live a good life.

I nodded my head slowly not wanting to break the comfortable silence.

He released a deep sigh before coming closer to me. He placed his soft lips on my forehead, leaving his lips there for a little longer before pulling away and looking into my eyes again. His thumbs never stopped rubbing my cheeks in a soothing way.

I wanted to leave this hell. I was craving to leave this hell. And somehow my heart told me that the man in front of me could lead me out of this cruel world. I needed to hold him tight. I couldn't let go of this chance. I wanted everything to be better. So, I listened to my heart.

My hands came up and clutched his black shirt in a tight grip. His eyes widened at my action but never leaving mine as if he was scared to lose me. I didn't feel the ache in my heart anymore. The closer I got, the sooner the pain started to go away.

I stood on my toes and closed my eyes, letting my heart lead me. Soon I felt soft lips on mine. I felt my heart beating faster and I let out a deep sigh. I heard a soft deep sigh from him too.

It was just a mild touch. Our lips didn't move. Our lips just stayed there, pressed against each other, feeling each other, breathing in and out together, trying to take away all the pain.

I leaned more into those lips. His hands slowly left my cheeks as I felt a pair of strong arms wrapping around my waist, pulling me closer. We didn't have any space left between us. Our chest heaving up and down, touching each other. I wanted to get lost in his strong arms.

Slowly he moved his lips against mine. I didn't stop him as I started to move mine in the same rhythm. It was a soft and slow kiss. Every time he kissed me, I felt like I was being dragged out of hell. He didn't let go of my lips as he caressed mine with his own lips.

Panting for air, we both pulled away. My dull brown orbs met his bluish ones.

My eyes widened when the realization hit me.

His blue orbs are still fixed on me.

I just kissed Mr. LaRusso.

Pulling out of his hold, I took a few steps back immediately missing the warmth.

He looked at me in confusion. Before he could ask me anything, I ran towards my room leaving him with his own thoughts.
