Chapter 3 - Her Retun

At that moment, a lot of mixed emotions began to overwhelm her.

One of them was regret. She regretted ever trusting and loving that man, Ricardo. She thought he was a gentleman. But he turned out to be crueler than she could ever imagine.

Rose looked at the driver in the eyes, shook her head and refused.

Even if I have to die, I won't sign this paper! I am not committing suicide and these children are Ricardo's! The driver was losing his patience. He pulled out a knife and slashed her fingers. Then, he forcefully grabbed her hand and pressed the bloody finger on the paper. Rose was unable to fight him. She was heavily pregnant and he was stronger.

Once her fingerprint was on the paper, the driver quickly pulled the paper and hid it out of sight.

My job here is done. If you die and become a ghost, don't come to me. Come for those people who sent me. The car finally reached the cliff and the driver roughly adjusted the position so that half of the car's back was facing the abyss.

Rose was horrified.

"So, he wants to make it seem like a car accident?" Rose thought to herself. The driver quickly opened the door and jumped out of there, leaving Rose alone. Then, he went to the front side and pushed the car with all his might, so it would fall down.

"No, stop! Get me out of here! Rose pleaded for her life, but it was useless. She could feel the car was getting pushed further and further onto the cliff until it finally lost its balance and fell down.

As she fell down along with the car, the memory of the time she spent together with Ricardo surfaced. The man she loved and trusted with her whole life betrayed her. Nothing could compare with the pain she felt in her heart.

"Bastard! You bastard! How could you do this to me!? She thought.

"Ricardo. If I could start all over again. I would not want to know you or fall in love with you! You're inhumane!

The car finally smashed to the ground, rolled over and caught on fire. Everything was consumed by the flame. In the midst of it, Rose made a promise.

Ricardo, I won't forgive you!

 Five Years Later

A black Maseratti stopped in front of the five-star hotel lobby in New York City. The chauffeur opened the door and, to everyone's surprise, the ones who came out of it were no celebrities.

Instead, three little children jumped out of the car. Two boys and a girl. They looked so cute in their mini suits and dresses and instantly captured the attention of the people around them.

"Evan, Eric, Ivy!" Rose called to the kids and rushed toward them cheerily and gave the children a big hug and kiss on the cheek.

"Mum!" The three children called her name. The little girl, Ivy, was the first to grab her mother's hand. She looked like a princess with her pink dress and bow. Meanwhile, the two boys wore matching suits with different color. The eldest, Evan, wore a blue suit while the younger one, Eric, wore a red suit. It suited their personality well. What are you doing here so early? I thought I had told Miss Francesca to bring you here later? She wondered.

"Well, Ivy said she wanted to see Aunt Gloria getting ready for her bridal makeup." Evan responded casually, and the little girl just smiled, affirming his words.
