They arrive in Kabul. The Mask Man says,
"Hashim, come with me. And Akbar, you stay outside or you might get caught."
Qasim replies,
"Yes, alright."
They reach the palace. As the Mask Man tries to enter, the guards stop him.
"Where are you going?" they ask.
He replies,
"I've been sent by the King."
He shows them a letter and says,
"Here, look."
The guards read it and allow him to pass. He goes inside and meets Princess Maryam. As he approaches, he says:
"Princess Maryam, your father sent us to give you this letter."
He hands her the letter.
The letter reads:
My dear daughter, my peace, my little doll,
You've been away from me for so long. When I received your letter, I immediately called for you to be brought back to Baghdad.
The person who brings you this letter—go with him. Take a few soldiers with you and return to Baghdad with this man.
May Allah protect you and make your journey easy, my child.
Ameen.
As Princess Maryam reads the letter, tears fill her eyes. She looks up and says to the Mask Man:
"So when will we leave for Baghdad?"
The Mask Man replies:
"We've traveled a long distance today. We're tired, and so is the horse—it also needs rest.
Please prepare your belongings—water, food, anything else you want to take with you.
Decide everything before morning. We'll leave after Fajr prayer and breakfast.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go rest."
Princess Maryam says:
"Yes, go rest. I understand everything. We will leave after Fajr."
That night, Princess Maryam packs all her necessary items and favorite things into her bag.
She tries to sleep, but she can't, out of happiness.
At Fajr time, they all offer prayers—Qasim, the Mask Man, and Hashim on one side, and Princess Maryam on the other.
Then they have breakfast.
The Mask Man returns to the palace, and they all get ready to leave and begin their journey.
Qasim, the Mask Man, Princess Maryam, Hashim, and three soldiers become part of the journey.
The Mask Man says to the three soldiers:
"One of you should go behind everyone, and one should go ahead. Hashim and one soldier will stay with the princess."
The soldiers respond:
"What are you saying? Why should we follow your words? We will do whatever the princess tells us."
The Mask Man looks toward the princess and says:
"Will you tell them, or should I?"
Princess Maryam says:
"Do what he says."
So the soldiers say:
"As you wish,"
and they do exactly what the Mask Man says.
Then Princess Maryam begins asking questions to the Mask Man.
She asks:
"Why do you wear a mask?"
He replies:
"Because it's my choice."
She asks:
"Why do you wear such old clothes?"
He answers:
"My choice."
Princess Maryam says:
"Are you married?"
The Mask Man replies:
"No!"
Then he thinks in his heart:
"Why? Do you want to marry me? Hahaha."
Then he says:
"I'm not married, but I have two children."
Princess Maryam says:
"Not married and have two kids? Astaghfirullah! What kind of people are you? Having kids without marriage? Aren't you ashamed saying or doing such things?"
He replies:
"No, I'm not ashamed. What's shameful in this?"
Princess Maryam gets angry and turns her face away from him.
Just then, her horse trips, and she falls.
The Mask Man laughs in his heart—"Hahaha"—but he moves to help her.
She says:
"Don't touch me! I can get up by myself."
He says:
"Alright then…"
She starts thinking that I don't need help from people like these, it is better to be strong myself than taking help from these people. At that time he says that those kids are orphan ones. I have kept them like my own children in my house. I am not married but I am a father of those orphan kids !
She gets shocked after hearing this and starts thinking that whatever I thought about him was wrong, that means I was wrong, I quickly judged that, She think who knows if it really happens like this, aghhh
