The ship looked a lot larger on the inside of it than it did from the outside. The intirior was entirely made from a white medal. I truly was curious about how they had achieved such a result that broke all the known laws of physics on such a scale as I walked around to get a better look at the ship.
"As you can tell, the inside of the ship is a lot larger than the outside. This is because we had gathered material that was on the interior of a cyborg ship and after a few months of hard studies on how and why the medal on the inside was different than the metal on the outside we were able to craft a new substance called Saphite. The new metal channeled a vibrotational that made the interior of our ship larger than the exterior on a five to one scale." The maid said to me as I was walking around with my jaw wide open due to the shock that I was feeling as I looked around at the ship.
"Are you telling me that all of this is mine to use in trying to prove my theory?" I asked as I leaned on the center table in the entering room and turned my head so that I could look at her.
"Yes, it will be yours if you allow my employer to access your technology to get his life back. Also, I thought that you might want to know that as part of the contract that you have signed you will be sued for ten times the amount of money that we spend on this journey to prove your theory if you do not allow him to use what you find to extend his life". She said to me as she walked up to me and stared at me with a cold stare that started to send a cold shiver down my spine.
"I understand that your employer would want to ensure the cooperation of those that he chooses to invest in".
"That is correct, sir. I always want to ensure that I get my intended returns with all my investments." I heard a voice that matched the voice of my employer from a speaker that was in the table in front of me.
the sudden appearance of a voice that I was not prepared to hear caused me to fall on my ass where I was standing.
"I have speakers placed all throughout this vessel so that everyone will be able to know the will of their master even at long distance."
I truly thought that this guy was a tab bit excessive in his methods of control, but I chose to ignore the thoughts that were going through my head and focus on the positive end of this contract for me.
"That makes sense sir…. I never did get a last name." I said as I remembered that he did not even tell me what family of The Terran Collective that he belonged to.
"I am the head of the house of Xenloo. That is all that you need to know, currently Professor David Fulkcore." He said to me before I was able to hear the heavy breathing that followed most of his speech.
"What how did you know my name? I know that I did not tell any of your men who were at the university." I told him as I rose to my feet and was surprised that he knew my name.
"It is always part of my policy to do very extensive research on the backgrounds of the people that I choose to hire. You never know who you can truly trust in this war-torn galaxy, especially with the fact that the Fifth Column terrorist movement is still very active across the entire galaxy".
"I would have done something similar if I was in your shoes. That is why I asked to meet you in person before I accepted the terms of being in your employment."
The female robot pointed at a room that was to the left of where I was standing. She gestured for me to follow her with a wave of her right hand.
"We need to discuss both the different personnel that you will be in charge of as well as the situation at the dig site before you arrive there." She said to me as she walked into the next room.
I followed her because I wanted to get all the information that was available on the people that I would have to supervise at the site.
This room was made of the same material as the rest of the ship. The room only had a single rectangular table that had a projection device on it. this table had eight simple metal chairs around it. There were speakers hanging from the ceiling that were in each corner of the room. There were no windows, but as soon as I walked into the room, the lights powered on as if they were thermally activated.
"Good now that we are here. Let us go over the personnel files of the main people that will be under you first". The female robot, as the door slid shut behind me, and I took a seat.
"All right let's begin". I told her as I crossed my arms, waiting to hear all about the annoying pieces of shit that were going to complicate my job.
"This is Dr. Alex Jhonson he is going to be the person who will report any major finds to you to get your approval before he does anything else. He has the talent called True Vision. With a talent like this, he can see deep into someone's soul and sense if they are lying."
I saw a projection of the man that she was talking about. He was of short stature with a very scruffy looking beard. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with grey jeans. He had climbing equipment on his waist.
The projection faded and was quickly replaced with a projection of a tall and very muscular black man with dreads that went down his back that was middle-aged, most likely in his forty's. this man wore a full set of battle armor that covered his entire body and carried a great sword on his back.
"This next individual is known as Donivon. He is a member of the healer's caste. He will be serving as your head of security, and he is also in charge of maintaining the defense of this site at any cost."
It was a relief that this man would be on my side because I almost could believe that he was a member of the healer caste due to how fit he clearly was.
"Are there any other important people that I should know pf before I meet them?" I asked the robot since I was truly in a rush to get to the planet where my new life will begin.
"No, everyone else is not worth the limited amount of time that we have before we get to the dig site." She said in response to my question.
Then she handed me a tablet that was on her side of the table.
This data pad had a list of reports on it that told me about all the different machines that power some type of super weapon that was found in the ruins. They also had reports on a chamber that they had found that contained some octopus like robotic bodies that are still in pods not activated.
"I am impressed at what they have already found to help prove my theory. This is going to be an interesting expedition to oversee." I said to the female robot as I handed her back the tablet.
"Good to hear that you are pleased with the progress that I have made. I always hire the best Terrans of their respected fields to ensure the success of the tasks that I want them to do." I heard my employer say through the speakers in the room.
"We have arrived at the planet where we are digging up the newly discovered ruins of The Ancient Osdronian Dynasty". The robot said to me, and she walked back into the room where I had entered the ship.
I started to walk towards the end of the ship with a rush of excitement that made me want to get started as soon as possible.
