Chapter 14 - Chapter 11: The Mysterious Figure

‎The assistant scurried out of the office, his heart still racing from the encounter with his boss. Why is he so cold?,I have never seen anyone command such respect and fear with just a single glance.

‎As he made his way back to his workstation, he couldn't help but wonder what he wanted from Anne Victoria Matthews given they are rivals. The man's interest in Anne seemed intense, and the assistant had a feeling that this was more than just a business matter.

‎Meanwhile, Anne was still grappling with the decision to reach out to Julian . She knew it was a risk, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that she needed him on her side.

‎As she pondered her next move, her phone rang, breaking the silence. She answered, and a low, smooth voice spoke on the other end.

‎"Anne Victoria Matthews, I believe we need to talk."

‎Anne's instincts told her that this conversation was about to change everything. But who was on the other end of the line, and what did they want from her?

‎Anne's curiosity was piqued as she tried to place the voice on the other end of the line. "Who is this?" she asked, her tone firm but polite.

‎The voice chuckled, a low, husky sound. "Someone who knows your worth, Anne. Someone who can help you achieve your goals."

‎Anne's instincts told her that this was no ordinary call. "What do you want from me?" she asked, her mind racing with possibilities.

‎"I want to meet with you," the voice replied. "In person. Tonight. At the old warehouse on 5th and Main."

‎Anne hesitated, unsure if she should trust this mysterious stranger. But something about the voice drew her in. "Okay," she said finally. "I'll be there."

‎As she hung up the phone, she felt a thrill of excitement mixed with trepidation. What was she getting herself into?

‎At 10 PM, Anne arrived at the old warehouse, her heart pounding in her chest. She stepped inside, and a figure emerged from the shadows.

‎It was the elegant-looking man from the office, the one who had demanded information about her. Anne's eyes narrowed. "You're the one who's been asking about me," she said, her voice steady.

‎The man smiled, his eyes glinting in the dim light. "Yes, Anne. I'm the one who's been watching you. And I think we can help each other." Don't you think so.
