[Unification Progress Update]
World No. 1: 30% → 32%
World No. 2: 18% → 25%
World No. 4: 22% → 33%
Kai leaned back in the soft velvet seat of his mobile base, eyes flickering across the system interface. He hadn't expected World No. 4 to jump the highest—but the numbers didn't lie.
He thought it over, then understood the breakdown.
World No. 1.He'd already taken Hashirama into the future—twice. And he'd brokered a deal with Madara to destroy Iwagakure. But for all that effort, the power balance hadn't truly shifted yet. Konoha was already dominated by the god-tier duo of Hashirama and Madara. The only thing that would meaningfully bump unification now… was action.
Specifically, when Madara actually flattens Iwagakure.
World No. 2.By preventing Tobirama's death, Kai had radically altered the Second Hokage era. Konoha's command structure remained intact, and the village had avoided a crippling leadership vacuum. Just by surviving, Tobirama was adding a whole 7% to unification progress.
And then, there was World No. 4.Saving Minato and Kushina during the Night of the Nine-Tails was an even bigger turning point than expected. Together, they were a powerhouse duo. Minato alone had ended the Third Shinobi World War with sheer speed and strategy. With him alive, Konoha had just gained a superweapon—and the numbers reflected that.
[System Reward Unlocked — Progress Milestone Reached]Two worlds had surpassed new unification thresholds. That meant two lottery draws.
Kai didn't hesitate.
[Reward 1: Chakra Refining Method][Reward 2: Ninja Tool — Senri Crystal Ball]
Not quite as extravagant as the Newbie Gift Pack, but still worthwhile.
The crystal ball had… interesting applications. But it was the Chakra Refining Method that truly excited him.
Until now, Kai had no method of refining his own chakra. The Rinnegan gifted by the system was nothing short of divine—but without chakra or control, it was a weapon locked behind glass. His body held the eyes of a god, but the heart of a mortal.
Not anymore.
The system's chakra method didn't require tedious repetition or years of training. It uploaded everything he needed directly into his mind—an instant mastery that would've taken even elite ninja months to develop.
Kai's sleep vanished in an instant.
Sitting cross-legged in his RV's quiet meditation chamber, he closed his eyes and began the process.
Refining a small portion of his physical and spiritual energy, Kai created chakra for the first time. The moment it flowed, a soft warmth settled in his core. Power. Real, tangible power. Not borrowed. Not faked.
His.
At the same time, his spiritual energy fed into his divine eyes, awakening a faint but growing pupil force.
He wasn't ready to unleash grand-scale ninjutsu—not yet—but he finally had a basic connection to his Rinnegan. And even its baseline powers were terrifying:
Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push)
Banshō Ten'in (Universal Pull)
Chibaku Tensei (Planetary Devastation)
And the full potential of its illusion-based powers…
Even a sliver of that made a ninja Kage-level.
With enough chakra? Super Kage-tier. Like Nagato—only without the frailty or drawbacks.
And unlike other Uchiha, Kai hadn't evolved from the Sharingan. He didn't inherit the Mangekyō's signature powers.
But instead, the Rinnegan granted him two exclusive, original abilities.
Left Eye: Jiayu Jianyu
Right Eye: Glass Crystal Sky
He'd barely begun exploring them, but even a glimpse told him they were potent enough to compensate for anything the Mangekyō might've offered.
Not that it mattered much.
Everything he gained now was just a stepping stone. As soon as the worlds were unified and he achieved his true goal—ascending to godhood—these powers would be little more than tools.
Still, it didn't hurt to be prepared.
Kai trained all night, refining chakra like a man possessed. He didn't need sleep—his ambition burned hotter than exhaustion.
Meanwhile, in World No. 2...
On the borders of the Land of Lightning, tension smoldered across a scorched battlefield.
The pursuit squad from Kumogakure—led by the newly appointed Third Raikage—finally arrived.
They were too late.
Just days ago, the Second Raikage had been assassinated at the Alliance Summit by Kinkaku and Ginkaku, plunging the village into chaos. The Third Raikage, young but immensely powerful, had crushed the internal uprising and taken the mantle.
Now, he had one goal: eliminate the traitors.
He needed to prove he was worthy of the title—and to restore order both inside and beyond the village.
"Raikage-sama!" one of the scouts called. "We found the battlefield. Multiple bodies—uniforms match the Kinkaku unit."
The Third Raikage strode forward, lightning chakra faintly crackling around him.
His eyes narrowed as he took in the scene.
All eighteen of the traitor unit were dead—including Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
"...All of them?" he asked.
"Yes, sir."
The Third Raikage couldn't believe it.
This wasn't just a fight—it had been a total slaughter.
He'd expected a variety of outcomes—Konoha being routed, both sides suffering heavy losses, maybe even a narrow Konoha victory. But not this.
Not a clean, crushing win with zero Konoha casualties.
"Are there any Konoha bodies?"
"None, sir."
The Raikage went quiet.
Tobirama Senju was supposed to be critically injured after the summit... There's no way he pulled this off alone.
"Maybe Konoha took their dead with them?" someone offered.
"In the middle of a retreat? Carrying bodies? That's wishful thinking."
"Raikage-sama!" another voice called. "You'll want to see this."
The Raikage followed.
Near Kinkaku's corpse, embedded in the scorched ground, was a large splintered wooden hand—still pulsing faintly with chakra.
His eyes widened.
Wood Release.
That wasn't just any technique.
There was only one man in the world who had ever mastered that: Senju Hashirama.
But he was dead. Everyone knew that.
…Right?
The Raikage clenched his fists.
No. It had to be a descendant, maybe another Senju with a rare affinity. Right?
Still... the idea that Hashirama might still be alive chilled him. If true, the balance of power would shift overnight.
And this—this flawless Konoha victory—was starting to make more sense.
"What about the Six Paths tools?" he asked grimly. "Amber Purifying Bottle?"
"All gone, sir."
Of course.
Konoha had seized them. And without the Amber Bottle, suppressing the Eight-Tails would be nearly impossible.
"Send out a small force," he ordered. "Track the Konoha unit. If possible, retrieve the tools."
"What about the rest of us?"
"We return to the village. Now."
His tone was clipped, urgent.
Tobirama Senju had survived. And clearly, he wasn't playing defense anymore.
There was no doubt in the Raikage's mind—Konoha would retaliate.
The war wasn't over.
It was just getting started.
And for the first time, the trajectory of World No. 2 began to shift.
