Nicholas POV
As days turned into weeks,we found ourselves spending more and more time together, our bond deepening with each passing day. One evening , as Isabella sat on my lap in my office, I turned to her. "Bella" I called " She turned to me. "How about we go out for dinner?" I asked. Isabella thought for a while and smiled teasingly. " I don't know. You need to do something for me to accept to go." She said playing with my hair. " What should I do?" I whispered. " I don't know you should guess." She replied smirking "You're playing hard to get ain't you." I asked her moving my hands to her waist. " Nope. So guess." She said smiling. " Tell me." I asked tickling her ." Ha_ha no ha stop it ." She was laughing and trying to push my hands away but it was to no avail. "Then tell me." I stopped and asked desperately. ". You look cute. Kiss me." She replied . I didn't waste time and crashed my lips onto hers. The kiss was intensified when she sat on my lap facing me and threw her hands on my neck. I held her waist and kissed her back. I used my tongue on her lip seeking permission to enter which she gracefully opened up to . I savored each and every part of her mouth. We were startled when someone barged in. "Sir I tried stopping her but she barged in." My assistant told me standing behind Alicia. " Alicia ! What are you doing here?" Isabella asked still sitting on my lap. " I should be the one asking you that question." Alicia glared at Isabella . " Nick here is my boyfriend so I came to visit him." Isabella replied. " Alicia what do you want?" I asked her . " You blocked me and you're here making out with a woman I thought had self respect." She was saying , " you're making out with her in the same office you used to fuck me . Huh?" She shouted this time. Isabella turned to me with a confused look. " It was only once for goodness sake Alicia. You were the one who forced me to. I was drank . Okay !" I replied getting angry with what she was doing . " But I thought…" she was saying when I cut in " You thought nothing. Now out of my office." I told her . She glared at Isabella stamped her feet and walked out. "Bella.." I called but she angrily cut in . " Don't Bella me. What was that. Did you fuck her?" She asked. My expression shifted slightly, a shadow of hesitation crossing my face. I sighed before responding. "Well, yes, I have. It was only once . You can't tell me you haven't been in relationships in the past." I asked caressing her cheeks to calm her "I've had a few relationships in the past." She replied placing her head on my chest.
She tapped my chest after fully calming down , encouraging me to continue. "Can you tell me about them?"
I sighed, acknowledging the need for honesty. "There were a few serious relationships, some longer, some shorter. I wasn't always the best at commitment, and I made mistakes along the way."Isabella listened intently, her heart beginning to pound against my chest . "How many... serious relationships?" she asked, trying to maintain a calm demeanor. I hesitated, then finally answered, "There were three that were pretty serious."She struggled to keep her breathes in check. "And what happened in those relationships?"I explained each relationship, the reasons for their endings, and the lessons I had learned.I spoke of immaturity, communication issues, and the challenges of navigating relationships. Isabella listened, absorbing the details, trying to understand.
When I finished, Isabella took a moment to gather her thoughts. "So, you've been with several women before?" she asked, her voice tinged with a mix of disappointment and curiosity.
I nodded, my gaze meeting hers. "Yes, I have. But I can assure you, I'm not the same person I was back then. I've grown, I've learned, and I'm ready for something real with you."
" Okay I believe you." She replied kissing my cheek . " So the date , are you in?" I asked. "I'd love that," she answered a touch of excitement in her voice. We sat there going through her phone for nice restaurants and we finally chose a charming Italian restaurant, known for its romantic ambiance and delicious food.
Isabella left my office after we decided to go on the date tonight. I would pick her up after work .
We're on our way to the restaurant. When we arrived , a lady in her mid thirties directed us to our reserved table.
As we sat across from each other, the soft glow of candlelight illuminated our faces. The conversation flowed effortlessly, filled with laughter and shared stories. We discussed everything from our favorite foods to to our dreams for the future.I found myself drawn to Isabella's warmth and genuine nature. The evening unfolded with ease and joy. We savored each course, relishing the flavors and the company. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of connection and mutual admiration. As the night drew to a close, we lingered over our final drinks, reluctant to say goodbye. The date had been a resounding success, solidifying our feelings and creating a memorable experience we would cherish for a long time. " I had a nice time" Isabella said standing at her gate. She turned to leave when I grabbed her hand. " No kiss, no hug?" I asked with disappointment evident in my voice. "That's your punishment for tickling me earlier" she replied giggling . I pinned her to her door and crashed my lips on hers . She responded immediately kissing me back . " It's okay love birds. I want to sleep so excuse me." We turned to where the voice came from to meet a smirking Winnie . " I was just leaving." I said moving away from Bella . " Whatever", she replied before pulling Bella in. I just chuckled and walked away.
It's been months since Bella and I started dating.Sometimes, Isabella would bring over ingredients, and we'd attempt to cook a new recipe together, the kitchen filling with the aroma of garlic, herbs, and the occasional burnt offering. Flour would dust our faces, and laughter would erupt as we inevitably made a mess, but the joy of creating something with her was always worth it. On quieter days, we'd simply sit on the balcony, wrapped in a blanket, watching the city lights twinkle below, sharing our dreams and fears under the vast expanse of the night sky. My apartment was more than just a place; it was a sanctuary, a space where we could be ourselves , where every shared moment was a treasured memory in the making, and where the simple act of being together was the greatest adventure of my life.
