Laughter and the clinking of chopsticks against bowls filled the dining room of the Mochizuki family. It was a warm and happy atmosphere. However, not all members of the Mochizuki family were present for lunch. The clan head was still nursing a broken nose inflicted by their guest, Tanjiro. Aunt Chiyako, her husband Hansuke, their oldest son Daku, as well as Uncle Keitaro (Aunt Miwa's husband and the father of Sayako and Hikari), were all away on missions.
Even in their absence, the other Mochizuki family members would eagerly share stories about how Tanjiro had stood up for their Yua. For them, the red-haired boy was already considered part of the family.
Yua's heart might burst out from so much love she was currently feeling. Seeing her boyfriend interact with her family gave her a feeling of happiness she didn't know she had missed.
Tanjiro perfectly fit with the Mochizuki! He was gentle and loving to Kaito and Hikari. Charming and also thankful to Aunt Miwa for the delicious lunch she had made. Laughing and teasing, Sayako was friendly back and showed Yua's father the utmost respect, while they also talked about their work as demon slayers.
Even more, after her father came back from talking with her grandfather and had told him that if he ever hurt Yua again, Haruto would move out of the mansion with her.
Everybody saw Haruto's bloody knuckles and applauded him for hitting their clanhead.
As Aunt Miwa served the dessert, Dango with green tea, Nezuko came out of her box.
The Demon Girl had first been shy, clinging to Tanjiro and Yua, but thankful the other Mochizuki treated her with the same kindness they had shown her brother, and soon Nezuko found herself playing dolls with Kaito and Hikari.
It was utterly adorable!
Tanjiro nearly cried seeing his little sister interacting with the two youngest Mochizuki's, made him think back when Nezuko was still human and took care of their siblings.
He had missed seeing this part of her.
Of course, it did come up why Tanjiro and Nezuko were now Demon Slayers, so the older Kamado told their hosts their tragic story.
Even if Yua had already heard it, she cried with her family as Tanjiro recounted it.
Aunt Miwa stood up and gave each Kamado a big hug and kiss on the forehead.
Sayako ruffled their hair, and the little Mochizuki hugged them too, while Haruto placed a hand on their shoulders and offered words of comfort.
Besides this moment, it had been an amazing lunch. The Kamados felt again part of a big and loving family, while the Mochizukis already wanted to get the adoption papers out to let them join their clan.
Yes, in Yua's eyes, it couldn't have gone better!
Sure, that Grandfather nearly ripped her hair, she could live without it, but beggars can't be choosers.
In the end, it was more important how the rest of the family took her boyfriend and future sister-in-law in
After dessert, it was time to research the Hinokami Kagura Dance in the Mochizuki archives.
Since the archives were in the second building, which meant going out from the main building into the afternoon sun, Nezuko stayed with Miwa, Sayako and the little ones, while Haruto, his daughter and their guest went there.
Tanjiro looked in awe at the rows and rows of bookshelves filled with scrolls and books.
It was a little library, no question.
He wondered what was written in this script?
Yua had explained that since the Sengoku Period, her family had kept writing accounts.
How much history and secrets were here?
Meanwhile, Yua sat down at the table in the archives as Haruto laid an old scroll on it.
"Here, this is all that I found about the Hinokami Kagura Dance. It was written by Mochizuki Meiyo.", Haruto explained.
"Mochizuki Meiyo?" Tanjiro repeated, surprised and opened the old scroll. "Wasn't he the one who founded your family?"
"Indeed, young Tanjiro," Haruto said. "I will leave you two to your research."
With a forehead kiss to Yua and a shoulder squeeze to Tanjiro, Haruto left the archives.
"This should be interesting.", Yua muses, eyeing the scroll.
This scroll was surely the most old one in the archives; they didn't possess much about their family founder, and now he had written about the Hinokami Kagura Dance?
Oh yeah, it was indeed interesting.
"Should I read aloud?" Tanjiro asked his love, a giddy feeling in his heart knowing they belonged finally to each other.
The midnight blue-haired beauty nodded and patted the seat beside her. Tanjiro understood, making himself comfortable on the offered chair.
He took a deep breath and began to read.
It was for the couple like they relived the past...
(*)
Mochizuki Meiyo knew what people thought about him, especially his brothers-in-arms in the corps.
After...after his Master left them, they thought he would follow him.
Betray them.
Betray humanity!
What a nonsense.
Tsugikuni-Sama may have saved him, a lowly orphan, from a life on the street and certain death. He had treated him like a son, but Meiyo was his own person.
He...he knew his master was in the wrong.
Not only because he was also close to Yoriichi-San, Tsugikuni-Sama's younger brother, no, but because he remembered what demons had done to his beloved parents.
What they did to humans any day.
He would never betray his race.
Yes, he still used Moon-Breathing, but it would be nonsense to not use the second powerful Breathing Style against their enemies, only because his master was now one of them.
Meiyo signed and looked up the mountain trail he was going up.
He would soon reach the home of his friend.
"Otou-San." his daughter Nozomi, his pride and joy, said. Her tiny hand squeezed his big, callous one. "When are we at your friend's house?"
He chuckled.
Nozomi was already tired; he could see it clearly.
"We are nearly there, want me to carry you, moon bunny?"
She frowned and shook her head. She wanted to show him what a big girl she already was.
He was so proud of her.
Meiyo was sure she would be the first woman in the Demon Slayer Corps; she already could copy Moon Breathing in a playful dance.
"Ah, there it is! There lives my friend," Meiyo pointed at the little hut before them and called loudly in greeting: "Sumiyoshi!"...
...The two men, and friends, were sitting on the veranda of the little house enjoying a cup of tea as they watched how Nozomi played with little Sumire tag.
"So...a dance?", Meiyo asked, a bit in disbelief at his friend Kamado Sumiyoshi.
The man in the green checkered haori laughed sheepishly.
"I thought this was the best way to preserve Yoriichi-San Sun Breathing. It's really fluid if you think about it. One Kata goes to the next like, well, in a dance.", Sumiyoshi said, embarrassed.
Meiyo huffed and hit his shoulder playfully.
"I was just pulling your leg. Nozomi...when she sees me doing my kata's, she copies them in dancing moves too. My wife is actually freacking out about that. She wants Nozomi to become a lady of the high society, but Nozomi wants to be a Demon Slayer too.", the midnight blue-haired demon slayer shared.
"Oh dear.", the red-haired coal burner laughed. "I don't know how I would feel about it if Sumire or my son wanted to join the Corps. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for what you guys do, but..."
"No, I get it."
Both looked at their carefree children. Nozomi had picked up little Sumire and was spinning her around to the delight of the toddler.
"No one wants their child in that danger, but I think I can't forbid Nozomi to follow me into the Corps.", Meiyo admitted with sad eyes. "She is my only child, my wife sadly can't bear any more children...My Master betrayed the Corps...We must stay loyal to the Corps and serve them with the Moon Breathing."
Sumiyoshi put a hand on his friend's shoulder.
"It's not your fault that your Master betrayed the Corps."
A bitter laugh left the demon slayer's lips.
"But it's my fault that he could leave...Sumiyoshi...When I fought him, begged him to stay with us...I could have done it...I could have killed him...But I only saw the man who raised me after my parents died, the man I loved like a father...I just couldn't."
As an answer, his friend wrapped an arm around his shoulder and gave him a squeeze.
"Old friend, who could blame you for not raising your sword against the man you loved like a father? The one who saved your life?"
"Oyakata-Sama and all my fellow Demon Slayers. They cursed me and Yoriichi-San out for our weakness for Tsugikuni-Sama."
"Then they are fools.", Sumiyoshi declared. "Everybody with a heart understands how painful it would have been for you two."
"Enough with this.", Meiyo decides. "Tell me, how are you gonna call the dance?"
"The Hinokami Kagura Dance."
"Fitting for a family of coal makers. You know...I think I will turn MoonBreathing into a dance, too; it's a good way to see if someone can do it. Nozomi showed me that. It just needs a name also."
(*)
Surprised, Yua and Tanjiro looked at the scroll.
"Wait, that's it?" Yua shouted in shock. "Is there more?"
Tanjiro flipped the scroll, but there was nothing.
"No, it ends with the naming of the Jihibukai Tsukigami No Mai and Meiyo and Sumiyoshi saying goodbye to each other.", Tanjiro told, equally shocked.
"Wow, what a disappointing ending," Yua grumbled, crossing her arms.
The red-haired boy closed the scroll and gave her a tiny smile.
"But I think we learned the most important things."
"Like my ancestor and yours were friends!" Yua shook her head in disbelief at this discovery.
Who would have thought that?
And who would have thought that 500 years later, a Kamado and a Mochizuki would be lovers?
Crazy!
"And both were friends with someone named Yoriichi, who used Sun Breathing, which is my Hinokami Kagura Dance," Tanjiro added.
"Still, some things are unclear." Yua pointed out. "For one, how Meiyo and Yoriichi couldn't defeat Tsugikuni, who is apparently a demon! I wonder if he is still around. Then, of course, how Sun Breathing was forgotten. If it is the strongest breathing style, how did this happen?
Tanjiro nodded.
"I agree. You sure there is no more in the archives?"
"If there were, Papa would have found it."
Annoyed how they were again in a death end, they both signed.
Instead of getting an answer, they just got more questions.
Tanjiro was the first to push away the negative feelings.
"Well, at least we found out something. We can work with that." Tanjiro found.
After a second, Yua agreed.
"True, with these names we can find out more, but for now..."
A wicked glint formed in Yua's grey eyes, which made Tanjiro blush furiously and gulp.
Oh dear, that glint and her sinful smile...uurgh, it was too much.
Eager Yua gets up from her chair, only to kneel before Tanjiro, putting her hands on his knees.
"Yua?" Tanjiro gasped, shaking from the warm, delicious feeling of Yua's touch. He felt his core pulsing and how his pants got tighter. "What? Why are you...?"
Gently, his girlfriend shushed him, as her hands wandered teasingly up his legs, leaving, even through his pants, a trail of moulting skin behind.
His pants just got tighter, and Tanjiro was worried his heart would just stop beating.
"Tanjiro, my love." Yua purred, her hand on the fly of his pants?! Oh dear kami's! "I'm not good with words, but I wanna show you how much you mean to me, how you made me happy, agreeing to be my boyfriend."
Then she touched and squeezed his cock trough his pants, which made Tanjiro let out a loud moan.
Oh fuck, it felt so good!
But...!
With incredbibal strenght, even if the horny part of Tanjiro cursed himself, he gripped Yua hand and take it away from his cock.
Surprised, Yua blinked up at him. She hadn't expected this.
"Yua, no, please. You don't have to do this." Tanjiro said softly, squeezing her hand.
"Sorry, did I overstep?" Yua wondered, feeling guilty.
The younger boy shook his head and kissed her palm.
"My heart, I part of me really wishes to be so close to you, but we shouldn't give in to our hormones.", he murmured. "I want to experience with you, love naturally and honestly, in a better place than your family archives."
Well, he did have a point.
Sheepish, the older girl got up and intertwined her fingers with Tanjiro's.
"You are right. I was just...mmh, horny? Didn't think it through."
"It happens, Yua, don't worry. As long as we can talk about it, nothing worse will happen."
Happy they cleared this up, they smiled at each other, before Yua frowned.
"But I made you hard."
At this, Tanjiro just shrugged his shoulders.
"Give me a few minutes and I will calm down, but...erm, it's better you don't kiss him or anything similar."
Yeah, this would be counterproductive. So Yua stepped away from Tanjiro and took the scroll in her hands. As she placed it back in its rightful place, in the farthest corner of the archive, it gave Tanjiro enough time to calm down.
(*)
Since it had taken them half a day to reach the Mochizuki Mansion, Yua, Tanjiro, and Nezuko stayed the night over and would return tomorrow to the Butterfly Mansion.
After their little moment in the archive, Yua rilled in her hormones. She still wanted sex, or at least oral sex, but she respected her boyfriend more than her crazy libido.
Someday soon, they would take these steps; she just had to be patient.
Anyway, the rest of the day was spent in the company of the other Mochizuki and Nezuko.
They talked, laughed and played games.
When it was evening, Yua and Sayako showed the Kamado Siblings their garden and also the training ground.
Somehow it ended up in a little spar, between Yua, Tanjiro, Sayako and also Haruto.
Tanjiro felt honoured to see Haruto's Wind Breathing and was surprised to learn how Sayako uses Water Breathing!
She hadn't learned under Urokodaki-Sensei, but under one of his former pupils.
As he askend Sayako why she wasn't a Slayer anymore, because she was damn good with her katana, the black-haired girl simply said she prefered to heal then to hurt.
Soon it was time for dinner, with even more talking and laughing.
Then, after dinner, all enjoyed the serenity of the garden, and the Mochizuki started all to sing.
Nezuko and Tanjiro were enchanted. Yua was already an incredible singer, but hearing her belt out songs with her father and cousins?
It was an experience.
Since Miwa was only a Mochizuki in name, she listened with the Kamado Siblings and gave them some background information on the different songs.
Sadly, all good times had to end. Kaito and Hikari were already falling asleep, so Miwa and Sayako brought them into their rooms, and Yua and Haruto escorted Tanjiro and Nezuko to their Guest House.
A main house, a guest house, an archive, a big garden and a training ground...Tanjiro wasn't used to such luxury. Made him wonder how rich the Mochizuki were.
They were since the Sengoku Era a part of the corps, good 500 years, of course they must have colletec a fortune, yet they stayed humble.
Maybe because they still worked for a Slayer and knew how precious life was over money.
No, surely.
Haruto bid the Kamado Siblings a good night with a gentle hair ruffle, and Yua hugged them.
Tired but happy, Tanjiro and Nezuko got ready for bed and fell asleep the second they lay in their futons.
(*)
Early the next morning, while most of the Mochizukis were asleep, Yua picked up Tanjiro and Nezuko, back in her box, from the guest house.
The young couple hold hands as Haruto steps out of the main house to send them off.
"It was nice meeting you, Tanjiro. You and your sister," Haruto said warmly. "Be sure that you will always have friends and family in the Mochizuki's."
"You are so sweet, Papa," Yua replied with a smile.
"We are really grateful, Haruto-San. Nezuko and I enjoyed staying with your family, and thank you for letting us research the archives," Tanjiro bowed in thanks.
Haruto nodded. "Of course, anytime. And be careful on your way back."
"We will, Papa", Yua promised.
Father and daughter hugged each other tightly, putting all the love they had for each other into it, since they didn't know when they would see each other again.
As Tanjiro and Yua walked out of the mansion gates, hand in hand, the older girl couldn't help but feel grateful for everything that had happened during their visit.
Even if there were still open questions about Sun Breathing, they found out at least new information, and also Tanjiro and her were finally together.
Her family loved the Kamado like their own, and Papa had given her his blessing, telling her how Mama would have loved Tanjiro also.
Yua looked down at her boyfriend, who was smiling up at her with love in his eyes.
She knew that whatever challenges they faced as Demon Slayers, they could face them together as partners.
So she squeezed his hand tighter as they made their way back to the Butterfly Mansion, ready to continue their journey together.
(*)
"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" Zenitsu shouted as he watched how Yua and Tanjiro cuddled together in her bed in the Butterfly Mansion patient room. "HOW THE HECK DID YOU SCORE A GODDESS LIKE YUA-SENPAI?! WHAT IS YOUR SECRET TANJIRO, TELL ME, TELL ME, I MUST KNOW!"
The blond-haired boy crawled up to their bed, tears and snot flying everywhere, only to meet Yua's fist.
He crumpled on the ground like a cheap firework.
Inosuke howled with laughter, and Tanjiro tutted at his girlfriend.
"What, he was being annoying," she defended her action.
From the ground, you only heard pathetic groans.
"So you are mates?" Inosuke askedn to make sure. "Does it mean that when mating season comes, you two will breed?"
The red Tanjiro turned needed a new name, while Yua just deadpanned.
"Boarhead, you don't ask such things, couples normally."
Meanwhile, from behind the door of the patient room, the four little girls celebrated that their favourite couple, become one, Aoi was busy explaining to Kanao what was going on and Shinobu?
Giggling, she put a hand on her mouth.
"Ara, Ara, what a nice surprise. I wish you, kids, the best."
And if she thought about a certain Water Hashira, no one but Shinobu needed to know.
