Chapter 3 - 3. Clue

Next morning, the sky was cloudy. It looked like it might rain.

Aaradhya folded her hands and prayed quietly, then sat near the window.

She was lucky—it was a summer holiday.

She sipped her tea slowly. Her brother, Amit, was still sleeping with his phone on his face.

She glanced at the newspaper.

No updates about the missing girls.

She hurried over to Amit and shook him.

"Wake up!" she said.

Amit turned lazily and groaned, "Godddd, what happened? Why are you waking me up? Let me sleep!"

"When did you sleep last night?" Aaradhya asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Hmm... I went to bed at 10 o'clock," he said.

"Liar! You went to bed at 3 a.m."

"How did you—Ooh! I know, last night wh—"

Aaradhya stared at him with wide eyes.

Amit instantly went silent.

She changed the topic quickly. "Forget it. Look at the newspaper."

They sat together, quietly discussing the missing girls.

On the other side…

"You came early," said Inspector Ratan, glancing at the clock.

"I don't like wasting time," the Masked Detective replied calmly.

"Any clue?" she asked.

He nodded slowly. "One girl left a sign. Very small, but I saw it."

"Okay. First, we'll go to the victims' house," she said. "Can you take me there? I need their family details too."

"Yes," Ratan replied, already picking up his file.
