Chapter 119 - Chapter 199: Tang Wutong Who Traveled to the Past

At this moment, Tang Wutong fell into silence.

Heaven Dou Imperial Academy? That name sounded so familiar.

It seemed like her mother had mentioned it before. Before her mother became a god, the academy she attended was Shrek Academy.

Although Shrek Academy had a short history and very few students, each of them was a monster-level genius. There were six in total.

They were: her mother, Aunt Zhuqing, Aunt Rongrong, Uncle Mubai, Uncle Xiao Ao, and Uncle Hongjun.

The six of them trained hard together at the academy, growing stronger at a remarkable pace, and eventually made Shrek Academy the number one academy in the Heaven Dou Empire.

Before Shrek Academy rose to that position, it seemed Heaven Dou Imperial Academy was the top institution.

Thinking of this, the pink-blue-haired girl's eyes lit up instantly.

It seemed that she really had arrived in the mortal realm of the Douluo Continent. Awesome! She happily jumped up from the ground.

"Yay! I finally made it to Douluo Continent, hahaha…"

At this point, Tang Wutong had no idea that she had lost part of her memory—she had completely forgotten her father and the Clear Sky Clan, as if they had never existed.

In her current memory, her mother was the Sea God and the Asura God, and she had never met her father since birth—like he simply didn't exist.

Strangely enough, just hearing the word "father" made her feel an instinctive disgust, though she didn't understand why. But no matter what, she couldn't suppress that feeling.

The girls from Heaven Dou Imperial Academy looked at her with puzzled expressions.

"Is this kid stupid or something? What does she mean, 'finally arrived at Douluo Continent'? Like she wasn't even born here?"

Tang Wutong, still brimming with joy, quickly asked the girls:

"Sisters, do you know where Shrek Academy is? Can you tell me? I want to go study there…"

"Shrek Academy?"

The girls exchanged confused glances.

They'd never even heard of such a school. What kind of weird name was that?

One of the girls frowned and cautiously asked:

"Little sister, are you sure you're saying the name right? We've never heard of a school called Shrek Academy…"

"What?! You've never heard of it???"

Tang Wutong was stunned.

That couldn't be right! Shrek Academy had once won the Continental Soul Master Elite Tournament, even becoming world-renowned.

Even if, as her mother said, one day in the God Realm equals one year in the mortal realm, at most only about ten thousand years had passed. Could Shrek Academy really have vanished into history that completely?

She felt deeply disappointed. After all, her mother, her aunts, and her uncles had poured their blood, sweat, and tears into making that school what it was… and now it was just… gone?

One of the girls kindly comforted her:

"Don't be so sad, little sister. Even if you can't find that academy, you can still enroll in Heaven Dou Imperial Academy."

"Our academy is the top school in the Heaven Dou Empire, only rivaled by Star Luo Imperial Academy and Spirit Hall Academy across the entire Douluo Continent."

Another girl proudly bragged about their school's illustrious history, which made Tang Wutong freeze in shock.

"Wait, Spirit Hall Academy? You mean the one run by the Spirit Hall?!"

"Of course. What other one could we mean?"

The girls once again looked at Tang Wutong like she was an idiot. What was this girl even on about?

Tang Wutong shook her head in disbelief:

"No way… That's impossible! Didn't Sea God Xiao Wu destroy the Spirit Hall over ten thousand years ago? How can it still exist?"

"Destroyed the Spirit Hall?!"

The girls gasped. This little girl was daring to say Spirit Hall was destroyed? That was blasphemy! Spirit Hall was a towering power, second to none.

"Little girl, don't say things like that! Spirit Hall controls both the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires. No way could it be 'destroyed' so easily!"

"Exactly! Even just the branch hall here in Heaven Dou City is guarded by powerful Soul Saints and Soul Douluos, not to mention the main hall."

"And we've never even heard of any 'Sea God Xiao Wu'—so don't go around making stuff up!"

They spoke in a serious tone, clearly concerned that Tang Wutong might get herself in trouble.

Tang Wutong suddenly realized—this wasn't simple.

According to what these girls said, Spirit Hall was not only not destroyed, it was still in its prime. And as for Sea God Xiao Wu—her mother—it was like she had never even existed.

"Could it be… I've somehow come to the world over ten thousand years ago?"

"But… how is that possible?"

"Even my mother and uncles and aunts didn't have that kind of ability. How could I possibly have traveled back over ten thousand years?"

To test her theory, Tang Wutong decided to visit the current Spirit Hall branch in Heaven Dou City. Maybe she'd find some answers there.

If it turned out that her mother, Uncle Mubai, Aunt Zhuqing, and the others had really been erased from history by a revived Spirit Hall… then when she returned to the God Realm, she must tell her mother everything.

She had always heard that Spirit Hall was very bad, though she couldn't recall the specifics.

She only remembered vague stories about transformed spirit beasts being hunted and their soul rings absorbed by Spirit Hall's people. But she couldn't remember the names of those soul beasts or who they were.

She did know, though, that her mother was a transformed spirit beast, and she'd likely witnessed her kind being slaughtered and harvested.

But then again, was it really wrong for humans to kill spirit beasts for spirit rings?

Humans needed power, after all. Was it reasonable to ask them to stop absorbing spirit rings just to protect spirit beasts?

"So why is it that when Spirit Hall does this, it suddenly becomes evil incarnate?"

Tang Wutong was totally confused…
