Chapter 11 - Chapter11:The Astrology

The transaction was swiftly concluded.

All that was needed was to confirm the transaction details on the log and lock them in.

Next, tossing the transaction items into the Monster Gashapon Machine would transmit them to the other party's vessel.

There was no need to fret about the other party reneging—the Gashapon Machine ensured the transaction would be completed!

Ordinarily, objects as distinct in style as the Gashapon Machine were off-limits bosses; it was best not to test their might...

Yang Yi threw the agreed-upon transaction items into the machine. For supplies, the system would directly deduct them from the cabin.

Shortly after, two bottles of Holy Water were ejected by the Monster Gashapon Machine.

These were two reagent bottles filled with pure, colorless liquid.

Yang Yi uncorked one, took a whiff—there was no scent—then gulped it down in one go.

Instantly, he felt his body heat up, an intense burning sensation spreading through him, even emitting a faint smell of singed flesh.

But his mental state improved markedly; he felt refreshed and alert.

"Effective!"

Yang Yi exclaimed, delighted, and checked his status.

The corpse poison infection had downgraded to moderate, and his vital energy began to rise gradually.

So he drank another bottle to reinforce the effect.

Then he spent 50 game coins to purchase five first-aid bandages.

These were likely made from cloth, but since Yang Yi lacked the recipe, he had to buy them.

He pulled the arrow from his left arm, gritting his teeth against the sharp pain.

But the pain was a good sign—it meant the corpse poison was subsiding!

After cleaning the wound with a small amount of fresh water, Yang Yi bandaged himself up and checked his panel once more.

Yang Yi

Status: Injured/Corpse Poison Infection (Mild, Improving) (A human body icon in light yellow, with slightly darker hues where the wounds are)

Sanity: 93/100

Stamina: 35/100

Vital Energy: 19/100 (Slowly recovering)

He let out a long sigh of relief.

Finally, he had pulled through.

With the remaining supplies, he could upgrade the Nightmare, and he did so without hesitation.

Sufficient materials. Do you confirm the upgrade?

Yang Yi clicked "Confirm."

The Nightmare emitted a pale green glow, as though surrounded by wandering specters, and the hull began to expand outward.

Upgrade complete. Nightmare has been upgraded to a Tier 2 ship. View specific changes in the ship interface.

Navigation Announcement: The number of Tier 2 ship players has surpassed ten thousand, and the Origin Sea will undergo new transformations.

In three days, an unprecedented storm will descend upon this sea area. Please make preparations!

As soon as the announcement went out, the chat channel erupted.

"Ten thousand Tier 2 ships... Damn! I'm still short of 8 units of lumber. Does anyone have lumber for sale?"

"Guys, who else feels this? I'm in a game world, but it's still so competitive!"

"High-price recycling of lumber and cloth. Private message me if selling!"

The channel was swept up in an upgrade frenzy, and the prices of lumber and cloth skyrocketed.

But those at the greatest disadvantage were the owners of special ships that required extra materials for upgrading.

Iron Ambition: "Fish for iron. Private message for trades. Long-term supply of fresh fish!"

"Don't buy from him, everyone! His fish all smell like gunpowder and taste awful!"

"Just tell me if they're fresh or not. Guaranteed freshly caught and sold!"

"Does anyone have low-tier Wind Essence? Price is negotiable!"

The speaker was Windchaser, and since Yang Yi had added him as a friend, usernames were shown in the channel instead of being anonymous.

"Selling organic soybeans, organic cabbages, organic apples, organic bananas, rich in vitamins and moisture. Those in the know understand. Also buying seeds at high prices."

"Where did you get vegetables and fruits? Can your ship farm?"

"You sharp cookie, you guessed right!"

He attached his ship information to the message.

Farmer, Tier 1, Durability 600/600, Capacity 1000 units, Speed 25 knots

Hull Skill: Efficient Planting: The ship has farmland. Harvest time varies depending on the seed type.

Description: Farmer? No, you're now a fish farmer!

Yang Yi was slightly taken aback.

He had never expected there to be a ship capable of farming. This was truly... an otherworldly boon!

No wonder special ships all had their own economic advantages!

Yang Yi looked at the blueprint in his hand. This item was definitely a treasure!

Name: Pirate Ship Blueprint

Type: Blueprint

Quality: Special

Description: Can transform your ship into a Pirate Ship, granting it faster speed, more cannon slots, and even...

Yang Yi hadn't seen any cannons on the Pirate Ship, so they likely became available after upgrading.

And the true value of the blueprint was that its use wasn't limited by the ship's tier.

This meant that a high-tier basic ship using the blueprint would gain enormous benefits.

For example, a Tier 3 basic ship transforming into a Tier 3 special ship using the blueprint would save a massive amount of materials!

The higher the tier, the more materials saved!

So this blueprint would retain its value even in the late game!

He checked his ship interface again.

Nightmare, Tier 2, Durability 800/800, Capacity 1000 units, Speed 50 knots

Hull Skills:

- Nightmare: Extremely fast sleep recovery on board, but with nightmares. Stamina recovery efficiency - 75%.

- Increased Encounter Rate: Probability of normal fish and monsters remains unchanged, but probability of encountering abnormal entities increases.

Description: The ship has grown larger, but its dilapidated state remains unchanged.

The hull durability had doubled, but it was still fragile and couldn't withstand much punishment!

The ship's length increased to twenty meters, and the iron anchors on both sides of the bow were tied with a skeleton—the remains of the former captain.

The cabin also had an expandable room with three branch options:

1. Extra Cargo Hold: Increases ship capacity by 100%. Requires 100 units of wood.

2. Ancient War Room: Provides two fire-water cannons for attack. Requires 200 units of lumber, 10 units of iron, 10 units of sulfur.

3. Grand Statue: Can intimidate passing ships, causing panic. Requires 300 units of lumber, 300 units of cloth, and a complete skeleton.

After some deliberation, Yang Yi set his sights on the Ancient War Room.

Nothing provided more security than cannons!

Cannons were indispensable for naval combat!

His current supplies were as follows:

Capacity: 11/1000

Lumber: 75, Cloth: 45, Fresh Water: 20 (Calculated proportionally when insufficient)

Iron and sulfur were presumably high-tier resources he hadn't come across yet.

The upgrade interface for Tier 3 ships wasn't open yet; it would likely unlock after completing the expansion.

After taking care of everything, Yang Yi started fishing—he needed to stock up on more food.

Dozens of nautical miles behind the Nightmare, there was a special ship about ten meters long, with a three-meter-diameter special crystal on board.

Astrology, Tier 1, Durability 500/500, Capacity 80 units, Speed 50 knots

Hull Skills:

- Astrology: Displays the nautical chart of the surrounding 100 nautical miles and shows ship names.

- Sky Eye Probe: Can display the image of a ship on the sea, but cannot view islands.

Description: Just the beginning, not considered cheating!

The captain was a beautiful woman with black hair, brown skin, and rare red eyes.

She had first noticed the Nightmare since the two ships weren't far apart.

Then something odd happened—the Pirate Ship's icon suddenly vanished from the nautical chart...

Was it being interfered with?

The woman looked at the palm-sized crystal ball before her. While it couldn't display real-time nautical charts, it could search for ship names.

She gave it a casual shake, used the exploration skill, and checked the image of the Nightmare.

She saw Yang Yi on the ship, fishing.

A long carp took the bait and was reeled in, tossed into a bucket by the pot before even hitting the deck.

The woman's red lips pursed in shock and disbelief.

Soon, a silver pomfret was caught and then eaten.

Finally, a yellow-footed pufferfish was caught and disdainfully thrown aside by the man.

To the woman, this highly venomous pufferfish glowed blue in the water.

How did he catch these treasures? the woman wondered.

Rather than being put off, she was intrigued because of her special talent.

Talent:

- Witch's Blood: You thirst for knowledge. Red eyes are your mark and innate curse. Mental limit +2.

- Sensitive to strange creatures and phenomena.

- Remember, those who touch taboos will be banished by holy light and burned by holy fire.
