Gargi and Anjani led them through a passageway, covered with blueprints and other important-looking stuff from both sides.
Soon, they stopped inside a large room. Wires hung from the ceiling, all connected to only one thing- the astras. There were absolutely no words to describe the beauty of them.
The dust had been cleared off to reveal the vivid golden underneath. Gemstones, and intricate silver carvings dotted all the buttons and mechanisms. Just imagine a gun, but much bigger, better and beautiful.
The one that caught Ishar's eye the most was an elegant, sturdy trident that stood proudly, gleaming of pure gold. Besides it was an aquamarine gun, with carved gemstones for triggers, and silver markings. If humans even tried to make these weapons now, half of their money would've disappeared into carving the gemstones, let alone making a weapon out of pure gold.
On another table were various daggers, knives, swords, shields, and the most grand pieces of armor Ishar had ever seen.
"We haven't found out what powers them yet." Anjani said, looking at them admirably, "Once we find that out, we can easily test the weapons.
The astras have a completely different mechanism, much more complicated than modern-day weapons. They are completely resistant to electricity, and have a much bigger capacity for firepower."
"They just prove that we have much more to learn, especially from our ancestors." Gargi said.
"Until when can they be ready for testing? We need them now, before global destruction. We don't exactly have time for practice and stuff." Naren said.
Anjani sighed. "I know. We are trying our best. We have even alerted the scientists of other countries, only some scientists, mind you, and they're helping us prepare as well."
"Have you sent the small spy-camera? Give me the pen-drive that contains its programs. I will upload them on a computer so that you can control it,"Gargi said.
Pratap nodded and handed her the drive. "Dr.Tanvir said that the camera will be deployed to space tomorrow. He will call us when it's done."
"That's great."
"Hey, what about Venku- I mean, Venkatesh? I mean, if the aliens find the camera, and start talking to us in Devnagari, shouldn't we have someone who will actually understand them?" Karan asked.
"I don't think that negotiating will be the first thing on the alien's mind. Getting angry and destroying the world will be more like it. But yes, we should have Venkatesh here…just in case. After all, he has known about these aliens for years." Aniket said.
"Oh! I heard that you guys found a blueprint of the spaceship, in the military facility? And that Ishar was trapped in a room, locked by none other than the General?" Gargi asked, eagerly.
Ishar's smile turned into a frown. The memories of the events were like poison to him. "Yep. Don't be too excited about it."
Pratap took out the blueprint from his bag and showed it to Anjani and Gargi.
"See? We can use their technology to create better spaceships and vehicles for us. And we wouldn't even need copyrights or anything, since nobody knows that these aliens exist!"
They took the blueprint and took some time to study it. Aniket looked at Pratap incredulously. "Is that seriously where your mind goes? Building spaceships?"
Pratap rolled his eyes. "It's called 'future development.' A concept by which we can upgrade our technology."
Ishar chuckled and went into another room to call Tanik. He was sure that they must've found the dimanium by now. The phone rang for a minute before Tanik answered.
