Chapter 18 - Core formation Breakthrough!

Time quietly flowed by like a gentle stream, and after days of lively conversation, the two of them once again returned to their respective seclusions.

As for me, I ascended the peak of the mountain, standing tall above the clouds, and resumed my training in array formation. I focused my mind, breathing in the crisp mountain air, letting the silence sharpen my concentration. My hands began to move with practiced grace, tracing runes and symbols as I once again delved into the mysteries of ancient formations.

Days passed in peaceful solitude. The sun rose and set, stars blinked above the silent peaks, and the wind whispered across the cliffside. Finally, after one week and three long days of continuous effort, sweat, and contemplation, I broke through the bottlenecks of each of the formations I was working on.

The Divine Azure Constellation Array had reached its second layer. Now, it could double my attributes—strength, agility, and even spiritual sensitivity. Its celestial threads pulsed with life, like stars woven into a sacred web, surrounding me in a radiant cocoon of power.

The Heavenfract Prism Nexus had also evolved. It could now double the speed of my cultivation. And once I used it during a breakthrough, it would not just allow me to pass one layer—it would push me through two. However, the cost was steep. The formation took at least two days to create and could only be used once per breakthrough. Upon use, it would shatter like glass under the weight of divine power.

Then there was the Myriad Heavenseal Fortress Array—a defensive masterpiece. With its second-layer activation, it could withstand at least a hundred full-force blows from a Nascent Soul cultivator. Just knowing that made me feel safe, like a fortress of invisible walls surrounded me wherever I cast it. The sense of security was unmatched.

I nodded, deeply satisfied with the results. Reflecting on everything, I couldn't help but think about my own monstrous foundation—a blend of over a hundred physiques merged into one. Right now, I could barely tap into their combined potential. But once I reached the Nascent Soul stage, or even the legendary Divinity Transformation Realm, the latent power within me would bloom in full. My comprehension, strength, and affinity for techniques would reach heights even I couldn't imagine.

I also felt relieved that I had given the Python Cultivation Technique to her. It suited her more than me. My own cultivation speed remained unaffected, thanks to the special nature of my physique. The Python technique,is useless by it side effect not working with someone with special physique

"Should I return to the Azure Fang Clan?" I mused aloud. I had told myself I'd visit again in two weeks. After all, I still needed a proper place to settle down a house, perhaps.

But after a moment of thought, I sighed and shook my head. It's not a priority right now.

For the next two weeks, I had more pressing plans: I needed to hunt beasts at the Core Formation level and refine my body further. I was currently at the Sixth Layer of Body Refinement, but there were twelve layers in total. I wasn't in a hurry. Strength came with patience. Instead, I shifted my focus to comprehending and mastering my growing list of techniques:

Heaven-Defying Enhancement,

Heaven-Defying Defense,

Shadow Veil Technique,

and the Overflowing Sword technique.

I rubbed my temples, letting out a tired breath. There were simply too many techniques. I had wanted to be versatile, to stand as a master of all trades—not just a warrior, but a master of alchemy, talisman crafting, formation, and combat. But just the techniques I had were already a mountain of pressure. It was hard to keep up with all of them.

And yet, even if I couldn't master every path myself, I could pass them on. That's what disciples were for. Through them, I could maintain my versatility—my dream of leaving a legacy in every field.

"But how could I teach alchemy if I don't even know it myself?" I laughed bitterly.

Then I remembered—the system. My ever-reliable companion. It was the one key that would make it all possible. With its guidance, I could learn any path. If I truly mastered all of them—combat, alchemy, arrays, talismans, cultivation—I wouldn't just be a renowned figure.

I would become a legend.

No—I would rise above the heavens and defy fate itself. I would become immortal.

A laugh escaped my lips as I entertained the thought. But even as I laughed, I was aware of the truth—I was still just a child compared to the vastness of this world. A coughing baby, trying to stand tall amidst titans.

Yes, I had resources. But if I didn't use them wisely… If I died before blooming, it would be a true tragedy.

So, with renewed focus, I spent the remainder of the week hunting down Core Formation-level beasts. Each battle honed my senses, pushed my limits, and tempered my body with blood and pain. My foundation grew tougher, my movements sharper.

It was during one of those grueling days that the familiar chime of the system echoed in my mind.

[Ding! Host Xue Lian—your disciple has reached Core Formation. You are rewarded with the cultivation technique: One Hundred Snow Fields.]

A Manual appeared before me, glimmering with icy-blue runes. I reached out and grasped it.

One Hundred Snow Fields – A cultivation technique of ice. With or without the Ice-Cold Physique, the practitioner will experience 6x cultivation speed. However, if one possesses an Ice-Cold Physique and thoroughly masters the technique, cultivation speed will be increased by an astonishing 12x.

I smiled. "So I can use this."

I was certain that among the hundred physiques merged into me, the Ice-Cold Physique was one of them. That old man… he had blessed me—and cursed me—with this chaotic fusion. It was both a miracle and a disaster. Because of it, my tribulations would be far more terrifying than anyone else's.

But if I survived them?

I would stand at the pinnacle.

And so i decided too visit my disciple and reward her

This was only the beginning. My path was long, filled with hardships and tribulations… but my eyes remained fixed on the heavens.

I would not stop until I carved my name into the stars i smirked I'll surely ascend by deceiving the people around me.

Though honestly i didn't felt guilty about me lying to my disciple

Why? Simple it's because i helped them a lot by now and I'm giving them a lot of gifts which no normal expert could have
