Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

---

GACHA DAY.

I woke up like I was about to be knighted, crowned, and handed a free meal voucher all at once. The sky looked bluer, the birds were singing in a major key, and Deric looked at me like I'd lost my mind. He even asked if I was "on something."

I told him, "Yeah. I'm on hope."

I found a quiet spot in the courtyard, centered my breathing, and whispered the sacred gacha incantation:

"Please don't give me another background character."

The wheel spun. The world blurred.

Light flared. Time slowed. I swear I could hear the gacha gods whispering in a chorus of eldritch jingles.

[Pull Results]

1. NZT Pills x50 (Limitless)

2. Package: Yoriichi Tsugikuni (Demon Slayer)

3. 10,000 Gold

4. Senju Muso – "Unmatched Anticipation of a Thousand Moves" (Record of Ragnarok)

5. Barisada (Swordmaster's Youngest Son)

6. Accelerator (Toaru Majutsu no Index)

7. Jörmungandr (God of War version, not IKEA plush)

8. Spider-Man (Peter Parker) (Marvel)

9. AirPods Pro (Infinite Battery)

10. Observation Haki (One Piece)

Blink… blink…

Okay, I was hoping for something useful, but this…?

This is insane.

I just pulled three literal powerhouses. Yoriichi and Peter are no joke, but Accelerator? That guy could probably delete the concept of gravity if he sneezed wrong.

And it wasn't just Yoriichi the person—I got the full cosplay DLC: his sword, clothes, and iconic hanafuda earrings. Do I feel slightly overpowered? Yes. Am I complaining? Absolutely not.

The rest of the loot is also cracked. NZT lets me go full genius mode, Barisada is a legendary blade that's itching for some screen time, and Senju Muso basically makes me the fight choreographer of my own life. And who doesn't want Observation Haki? It's like Spider-Sense but with the smug satisfaction of spiritual enlightenment.

The AirPods are cool too, though I had a minor crisis realizing I didn't even have a phone to use them with. Turns out they've got built-in sounds—ambient forest vibes and some chill lo-fi. Peak productivity unlocked.

As for the gold? Goodbye poverty, hello mildly responsible financial decisions.

Oh—and Jörmungandr. I still can't believe the gacha actually coughed up a world serpent. He's technically listed under "pets," which feels... disrespectful. But he seems chill. Mostly lounges in snake-coil mode and watches clouds like he's contemplating Nietzsche. I toss him iron chunks and he eats them without a word.

King behavior.

One Week Later

Time flew by in a blur of training montages and mild existential awe.

Assimilating Yoriichi Tsugikuni was... humbling. His swordsmanship, his calm discipline, that ethereal intensity—every move I made started to feel sharper, more intentional. I haven't quite mastered Sun Breathing yet, but the motions are beginning to feel instinctual. Like my muscles are slowly remembering something my brain hasn't caught up to.

Accelerator, on the other hand, is a completely different experience. It's like having a nuclear reactor in your soul. The assimilation process is slower—makes sense, considering I'm trying to digest vector manipulation. I can feel the power humming under my skin, like reality is just slightly afraid of me. One misstep and I'm reversing the Mississippi River on accident.

But I'm careful. Mostly.

Senju Muso is broken. I can mentally simulate fights before they even start. It's like playing chess against someone who doesn't know you're already on turn 37.

Combine that with Observation Haki, and I'm basically psychic. I knew what Deric was going to say before he even opened his mouth. He hates it. I love it.

The NZT pills are still blowing my mind. I take one other day, and suddenly I'm reading ancient texts in five languages, solving advanced math like it's Sudoku, and planning five-year strategies for fun. The crash afterwards is rough, though. Headaches that feel like someone's trying to reboot my skull with a hammer. But nothing a nap and an ambient lo-fi track can't fix.

Jörmungandr, surprisingly, has been a low-maintenance roommate. He lounges in the courtyard, radiates ancient menace, and occasionally rumbles in amusement whenever I trip during training. Feeding him iron is the highlight of my day. No idea what he's doing with it. Probably building a second world tree or something.

AirPods Pro are now an essential part of my training. With no phone, I was worried, but apparently they came preloaded with enough calming tracks and phonks to turn a kaiju battle into a spa day. Highly recommend.

The 10,000 gold made life way easier. I bought a proper training gear, decent meals, and a small library. I still live simply, but now it's by choice instead of necessity. There's a difference.

As for Barisada and Yoriichi's gear—I haven't used them much. Not until I've fully assimilated his mastery. Feels wrong otherwise. The clothes and earrings are iconic, yeah, but I'm trying to stay low-key. At least until I'm not constantly battling imposter syndrome every time I pick up a sword.

---

Next on my list? Spider-Man.

Agility, strength, endurance, and that Spider-Sense—I'd be untouchable. But I'm pacing myself. I don't want to overload the system while Accelerator's still cooking.

For now, I've got a deadly mix of assassin stealth, swordmaster grace, and the god-tier brain of someone who probably needs a government warning label.

Yoriichi is quarter of the way complete but accelerator will take time and if you are wondering,no he is not the nerfed version. I can get different version of same characters.

Neat!

Jörmugandr's loyalty has risen from 1 to 2, guess feeding him worked pretty good. But he doesn't talk, I wonder why. Is is because he can't or maybe he is different version.

All in all,Life's good. Weird, but good.

And if the gacha keeps handing out wins like this? The world better start preparing for its new main character.

CHAPTER END

A.N.

So, yeah I did it. I gave him an op character. Your thoughts. And tell me if the dialogues are cringey or comedy is too much, I will tone it down.

And we are going to have few time skips now that he is getting strong. And one more thing I was wondering if I should allow him to save his spins and merge them so that he can spin 20 times.
