With a "ding!" sound, the transaction between Josh and Daenerys was completed. Four rifles and four hundred rounds of ammunition were added to Daenerys' warehouse, while Josh's warehouse gained 120 ounces of gold.

Unlike the previous transaction, which involved some gold ornaments, this time all the gold was melted into bars—twelve in total. It was evident that Daenerys had prepared a large quantity of gold in advance specifically for trading.

Although they were from two different worlds, with different languages, scripts, and units of measurement, all these discrepancies were automatically converted or translated by the trading system, making it quite convenient.

Seeing such a large amount of gold all at once made Josh feel a surge of excitement.

This was a full 3.4 kilograms of gold! If converted using the gold price from before he crossed over, it would be worth over a million RMB.

Although his financial situation in his previous life was decent, apart from real estate, he had never seen this much cash before.

He had seen more gold than this, but only in jewelry stores.

Suppressing the urge to take out the gold and play with it, Josh prepared to close the system. How to convert this much gold into cash required careful consideration. Although the last gold sale went smoothly and the shop owner named Old Hawk seemed fairly honest, the amount of gold this time had increased twelvefold, so the situation might not be the same.

"Wait, Josh!"

But just then, Daenerys stopped him.

"Is something wrong?"

Josh asked in surprise. After all, Daenerys was currently leading the Dothraki army back to Slaver's Bay to quell a rebellion—she should be quite busy.

"This book, The Prince, I really like it—especially the part about the qualities a ruler should possess. It resonated with me deeply. If I had read this book a few years earlier, perhaps Slaver's Bay wouldn't be in such chaos now. However, the book's content is somewhat limited. For instance, it doesn't provide detailed information about the rulers it mentions. I'm very interested in their lives and experiences. Could you help me find more books related to that?"

Daenerys asked, holding up the copy of The Prince Josh had previously traded her.

As an exiled princess, Daenerys had grown up constantly fleeing and had never lived a peaceful life.

So let alone a royal education, even her basic education had been severely lacking.

When her people and territory were small, this hadn't been a major issue but as her power grew, these shortcomings began to show.

How to reconcile the contradictions between the various forces and social classes in her territories, how to manage her subordinates, how to govern her regions, and what kind of ruler she should be—these were all things she needed to learn.

This was also the biggest reason she remained in Slaver's Bay… Because of her lack of administrative experience, the city-states of Slaver's Bay were constantly rebelling. Instead of expanding her power, her forces were being steadily worn down.

As for her most important advisors, although they were helping to guide her in becoming a better ruler—such as Tyrion, who had only recently joined her—they all hoped she would become the kind of ruler they envisioned, rather than truly helping her become the ruler she wished to be.

In the past, Daenerys hadn't seen through this. She simply thought she wasn't doing well enough, leading her to constantly compromise.

But this seemingly thin, yet sharply insightful book, The Prince, had helped her realize many things.

The reason Daenerys had come so far was because of her strong ability to comprehend and learn—what held her back was limited vision.

But with the appearance of the dimensional trading device and her contact with Josh, and now after reading The Prince, a brand-new world had opened up before her.

She was now becoming increasingly interested in the literature and history of Josh's world.

"Of course, I can. But it'll take some time, since there are quite a few books on that subject."

Josh agreed without hesitation.

At this stage, Daenerys was his only trading partner. Her rapid growth was a good thing for him.

Only if Daenerys matured quickly and became a competent ruler would she avoid many of the pitfalls from the original plot and not die as tragically as she did in the series.

Only then could Josh continue trading with her.

If Daenerys died, the dimensional beacon would select a new host—a completely random process.

If the new host happened to be a noble or lord, it would be fine but if it bonded with a beggar or someone completely destitute, things would get very tricky.

Josh would then have to spend time and effort helping that person rise up before they could trade with him.

So the fact that the first beacon found a wealthy and powerful host like Daenerys meant Josh had been incredibly lucky.

There was no guarantee he'd be this lucky again when the new beacon appeared next year.

So besides making money through trades, Josh was more than happy to help Daenerys in other ways.

In fact, if he weren't worried about shocking her too much, he'd already have told her the entire plot of Game of Thrones.

"Thank you so much. I was originally planning to head to Westeros as soon as I returned to Slaver's Bay. But now I think I'll spend some more time studying and building up more strength. Also, if possible, I'd like to equip the entire Unsullied army with these rifles," Daenerys said.

"…That probably can't be done in the short term. After all, I'm not like you. In my world, I'm still just a small fry. Dozens or even hundreds of guns, sure—but eight thousand? That's not so easy," Josh said with a wry smile upon hearing her request.

Although guns were legal in America, buying eight thousand rifles at once would require dealing with arms dealers.

And doing that would push Josh into the public eye.

As a 15-year-old boy with a massive fortune but no matching power, he'd be eaten alive in no time.

Ultimately, it came down to the fact that Josh was alone and lacked allies.

And trustworthy, reliable allies weren't easy to find—especially for Josh.

His full name was Josh Kahn, of Austrian descent, making him, in a way, a compatriot of the little mustachioed man.

Five years ago, when the mustachioed man annexed Austria, Josh's original parents fled with him and eventually immigrated to America.

Back in Austria, the family had some assets. But in the process of fleeing, they sold everything off cheaply. By the time they arrived in the U.S., they used what remained to buy a small apartment and essentially became impoverished.

They lived off his father's dock job, supporting the family of three.

Even after five years in America, the family hadn't integrated well into society, as only the father spoke English.

Josh had attended school in the U.S. for a few years, but aside from some improved English, he hadn't learned much else. Because of his personality, he hadn't made any friends either.

Worse still, just over three months ago, while Josh was out, his parents ate a poorly cured sausage, got food poisoning, and died—just like that.

For a naive 15-year-old, it was a devastating blow.

If it hadn't been for the help of a community priest, Josh wouldn't even have known how to bury his parents—and that basically used up what little money they had left.

Since then, Josh hadn't returned to school.

After drifting aimlessly for three months, he was replaced by the current Josh.

With such a sparse social circle, Josh couldn't think of a single trustworthy friend or relative.

Hearing Josh's explanation, Daenerys nodded in understanding. After all, she had once experienced similar hardships.

"But speaking of reliable help…how about I send you a few Unsullied?" Daenerys suggested after a moment's thought.

"Unsullied?" Josh's interest was piqued when he heard that.
