The academy grounds were quiet under the silver moonlight. The air was cool, yet tension coiled in Jin's chest
He wandered the stone paths alone, hands in his pockets, eyes unfocused—until he saw her.
Yooha stood at the edge of the koi pond, her reflection flickering in the water. Her blade, Silent Veil, rested against the stone bench. She didn't move, but she knew he was there.
"Couldn't sleep either?" Jin asked, trying to sound casual.
Yooha replied without turning. "I sleep fine. You just walk loudly."
He smirked. "I was thinking… about that look you gave Bo."
Her shoulders stiffened.
"You recognized his power, didn't you?"
She was silent.
"Yooha… what happened to you before Sunlight Rage Academy?"
The moonlight shifted. Yooha turned, finally facing him. Her eyes were sharp—but tired.
"I didn't come here to make friends, Jin."
"I didn't ask to be one," he said softly. "I just want to understand."
For a long moment, nothing passed between them but the night wind.
Then she said quietly, "My past isn't a story I like telling. But maybe one day... if you're still curious, I'll let you read the chapter."
She turned back to the pond. Jin watched her, something soft and heavy blooming in his chest.
He walked away—only to pause when she said, "You write in a journal, don't you?"
Jin blinked. "How did you—?"
"I don't walk loudly either," she said, almost smiling.
