The Battlefield of the Seal War
The ground was cracked. The air thick with death mana.
Blood already stained the soil, yet the battle had barely begun. One by one, Sunlight Rage fighters had fallen, defending the ancient seal against Ghost Gordon's corrupted army.
Yooha stood alone in the center of the storm—her uniform torn, her body bruised, her eyes glowing with light barely contained.
Her opponent stood opposite her—a boy, around her age. The last remaining disciple of Ghost Gordon. But this boy had no name now. He had been erased… replaced by a monstrous puppet of darkness.
"Yooha of the Silent Veil," he said. "You're strong. But you'll still break."
She didn't answer.
She couldn't.
Her heart hurt too much. Not because of the pain.
But because she recognized the boy's face.
Once… long ago… he had saved her in training. Before Ghost Gordon destroyed them all.
Now, he was just another ghost.
Flash — The battle began.
His blade rushed forward like shadow lightning. Yooha twisted, parried, ducked. Sparks exploded from every strike. Blood splattered across both of them.
"You still hesitate!" he screamed. "You won't win like that!"
Yooha's blades trembled. "You were human once. You still are—!"
SLASH — His sword stabbed through her left shoulder.
She gasped, falling to her knees.
Far away, Bo and He Wang were trying to reach her—but Jin held out his arm.
"Don't," he growled. "She's… choosing."
Back to Battle
Yooha's eyes flickered. Visions of her childhood. Her rejection. Her loneliness. Her burning desire to protect.
No more weakness.
No more silence.
With a cry, she stood.
And from her back
WINGS exploded out.
Not of feathers.
But pure crimson light, edged in silver fire.
The battlefield shook.
Even Ghost Gordon stepped back from afar, whispering: "So… it's true. She's inherited the Saint Veil Bloodline."
Yooha floated upward, eyes glowing.
Her voice, soft, but absolute:
"I was born to end you."
She moved like light and thunder. The boy's attacks faltered. His darkness cracked.
He smiled weakly as she struck through him.
"…thank you," he whispered, and vanished into ash.
Yooha collapsed.
She was bleeding from too many places. Her wings flickered.
She smiled.
And then…
She fell.
Her body hit the ground.
Unmoving.
Silence.
Jin screamed.
A scream that shook the skies.
His body glowed, gold overtaking him.
The Laughing Blade shattered from its sheath—transforming into a divine blade of mourning and rage.
The battlefield paused.
A new being walked forward.
Jin was no longer human.
He was the Laughing Blade God.
He dropped to his knees beside Yooha, clutching her.
"Wake up," he whispered, voice trembling.
"You promised me a tomorrow."
Her hand didn't move.
Behind him, Bo dropped to his knees, tears rolling. Meiqi was crying silently. Even Xie Luang turned away.
Jin raised his head to the sky.
"If there are any gods left out there—GIVE HER BACK!"
