Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The New Luna**

Writer's POV*

"I choose all of you," Maeve whispered, and released every drop of power she had.

The world exploded in silver light.

Maeve felt herself being torn apart, her very soul stretching beyond its limits. The power of two entire packs, plus decades of stolen energy, poured through her like molten fire. She screamed, but couldn't hear her own voice over the roar of magic.

Through the mate bond, she felt the triplets' agony as the collars around their necks shattered. She felt Morgrim's fury as his control spells broke like spider webs. She felt the Shadow Pack's curse lifting, their strength returning.

And then she felt nothing at all.

---

"Maeve! Maeve, wake up!"

Someone was shaking her. Maeve tried to open her eyes, but they felt impossibly heavy.

"Please," another voice begged. "Don't leave us."

"She's breathing," a third voice said urgently. "The mate bond is still there. Faint, but there."

Maeve forced her eyes open. Three faces swam into focus—Ash, Cade, and Raiden, all looking terrified.

"Did it work?" she whispered.

Ash laughed, tears streaming down his face. "You saved everyone, you crazy girl."

"Morgrim?" she asked.

"Gone," Cade said firmly. "When you broke his power, he just... dissolved. Like he was made of shadows."

"The other council members fled," Raiden added. "They won't be back anytime soon."

Maeve tried to sit up, but her whole body felt like it had been hit by lightning. "The packs?"

"See for yourself," Ash said gently, helping her to her feet.

Maeve looked around the chamber and gasped. Shadow Pack and Valoran Pack members were working together, helping the wounded, sharing food and water. There was no tension, no suspicious glances. They looked like... family.

"The curse breaking changed everything," her mother said, approaching with a smile. "Both packs remember now—we were all one people, long ago. Before the council split us apart."

"We're merging the packs," Kieran announced, walking over with his sons. "Valoran-Shadow Pack. Joint leadership." He looked at Maeve with something like respect. "With you as our Luna, if you'll have us."

Maeve felt overwhelmed. "I don't know how to lead two packs."

"You don't have to," Alpha Braden said, joining the group. "You'll have help." He gestured to the triplets. "From your mates."

"All three of them," Kieran added with a wry smile. "First Triple Luna in supernatural history."

"What about Calla?" Maeve asked, looking around for her former friend.

"Here," Calla said quietly, stepping forward. She looked exhausted, but determined. "I know I don't deserve forgiveness. But I want to make things right."

Maeve studied her for a long moment. "It won't be easy."

"I know," Calla replied. "But I'll do whatever it takes."

"Then you can start by helping Liam," Maeve said. "He's rebuilding the Moonstone Pack. They'll need someone who understands what it's like to lose everything."

Calla's eyes widened with surprise, then filled with tears. "Thank you."

As the groups began to separate, planning their new lives, Maeve felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to find Liam smiling at her.

"I'm proud of you," he said simply.

"I couldn't have done it without all of you," Maeve replied.

"That's what makes you a true Luna," he said. "You understand that leadership isn't about power. It's about love."

---

Three hours later, Maeve stood at the entrance to the mountain caves, breathing fresh air for the first time in what felt like forever. The sun was rising, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold.

The triplets stood beside her, and for the first time since this all began, Maeve felt truly at peace.

"So what happens now?" Cade asked.

"Now we go home," Maeve said. "And we figure out how to run the most unusual pack in supernatural history."

"Think we can handle it?" Ash asked with a grin.

"Together?" Maeve looked at each of her mates, feeling the strength of their bond flowing between them. "We can handle anything."

As they started walking toward the forest path that would take them home, Maeve felt her grandmother's bracelet warming against her wrist. She looked down and gasped.

The simple silver band had transformed. Now it showed three interlinked symbols—a wolf, a shadow, and a moon. The symbols of their united packs.

"Grandma knew," she whispered.

"Knew what?" Raiden asked.

"That this would happen. That we'd all end up together." Maeve smiled, touching the bracelet gently. "She was preparing me for this my whole life."

They walked in comfortable silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts. But as they reached the edge of the forest, a new scent hit the air.

All four of them froze.

"That's not from our territory," Ash said grimly.

"Or the Shadow Pack's," Raiden added.

The scent was wild, predatory, and completely unfamiliar.

"Vampire," Cade breathed.

But not just any vampire. This scent carried power, age, and something else that made Maeve's skin crawl.

Hunger.

"They know," Maeve said quietly, understanding flooding through her. "Word about the Triple Luna is already spreading."

"Let them come," Ash said fiercely. "We're not the same weak packs we were yesterday."

"No," Maeve agreed, feeling her Luna power humming beneath her skin. "We're not."

But as they continued toward home, Maeve couldn't shake the feeling that their biggest challenges were still ahead of them. Being the most powerful Luna in history also meant being the biggest target.

And in the supernatural world, power always attracted predators.

As if reading her thoughts, her bracelet grew warm again. But this time, when she looked at it, a fourth symbol had appeared alongside the others.

A crown.

Maeve's breath caught in her throat. She wasn't just Luna of a merged pack. According to ancient supernatural law, defeating the Council of Shadows and uniting enemy packs made her something else entirely.

She was now a Supernatural Sovereign—a ruler over multiple species.

And if the stories her grandmother used to tell were true, that meant every supernatural being in the world would either bow to her authority...

Or try to kill her.

"Guys," she said quietly, stopping in the middle of the path.

"What is it?" all three triplets asked at once.

Maeve held up her wrist, showing them the crown symbol that was now glowing with soft silver light.

"I think we have a bigger problem than vampires."

The forest around them went completely silent, as if every creature was holding its breath.

And in that silence, they heard it—the sound of wings. Hundreds of wings, coming closer.

"Dragon-shifters," Raiden whispered, his face pale.

"And they're not alone," Ash added, his Alpha senses picking up multiple threats.

Maeve looked at her three mates, feeling the weight of her new crown and everything it meant settling on her shoulders.

"Ready for the real adventure to begin?" she asked with a shaky smile.

Before any of them could answer, the sky above them turned black with wings
