Duke sobbed bitterly on Malen raised his head, looking at the servants present. Where did this happened he asked.
But no one answered.
He asked again with a loud groan still no one answered. He asked that
Malen should be taken to his chamber and the servants present should wait for him in the throne room.
In his chamber the servants present waited for Duke's arrival and to their surprise he walked in with an arrow with its quiver filled.
"Each question that goes without an answer will have a soul accompany it. Duke said with firmness and pain in his voice.
"I ask again (he drew his arrow facing a guard) and they all fall to their knees pleading. Duke scoffed.
"Where did it happen" no one answered. Duke drew his arrow ready to shoot just then out of fear the guard having the arrow facing him voiced out. "Here in the palace your highness" he said shivering at Dukes feet. Duke sniffled. "where exactly?"
"Your highness" the guard reply sluggishly. "Maybe you think I am joking" he drew the arrow this time his face filled with anger.
"Duke" Torin called out,what is going on"
Duke turned to his father angrily breathing rapidly.
"You have to let them go" Torin said. It's a shame he was in the scenario when the prisoner escaped and I know,seeing him as a threat,the prisoner took him down.
Duke laughed our of pain which last a little. "bullshit"
"Duke" Torin called out"
"What are you all doing here" Duke asked turning to the servants. "Get out" Duke roared.
"Son you have to be calm" Torin whispered.
Duke watched the servants walk away then he turned to his father.
"Father, is there something you are not telling me?"
Torin looked at Duke maintaining a strong silence. "Where is he?" Torin asked.
Duke walked to his chamber while Torin followed behind him.
Torin walked into Duke's chamber after Duke help moves closer to Malen where he was laid Olivia stood with her head bow.
He looked at Duke "find the killer" he walked out.
Duke walked up to the guards at his door. commanded a guard at the door. "Get the best horses ready and a dozen men, we set out now and to the second "go with you two men through the secret passage of the palace, any trace you find out its destination. Duke walked up to Elara holding her hands rubbing it softly. "I'll be back my love. He looked at Olivia "watch after her".
Olivia bows affirming to the message.
Duke walks out putting on a thick skin of an animal.
Moments later Olivia sat close to Elara, her expression calm—until her eyes suddenly glazed over. A vision gripped her. She saw the prince, surrounded by shadows, danger pressing in from all sides.
Her breath caught. Without a word, she shot to her feet, heart pounding.
Before Elara could respond, Olivia sprinted towards a side in the palace our of reach of sight by anyone. In a flash, she morphed into a sleek raven, feathers glinting in the light, and soared into the sky—wings slicing through the wind as she raced to find him.
Duke and his dozen men chased after a figure few of the guards recognized from the palace, Aiden.
Aiden ran as fast as he could,but noticed the chase was intense he ran behind a tree.
Duke ordered the men to get Aiden while he stood and watched.
They walked slowly following each behind each other till they got to the point where Aiden hid himself and at that moment Aiden slit the throat of the one close to him swiftly achieving his sword.
The second came roaring towards him as they fight skillfully with their swords. Two men stretch their sword towards Aiden but he kicked the one he was fighting with at first whom fell to the ground grunting in pains.
He back tumbled thrice giving him the pace to throw a blade at one which pierced into his neck, as he held his neck bleeding he choked studding to the ground. The fourth with two swords rushed at Aiden skillfully hitting them against Aiden whom dodge and prevented them from touching him with his sword. The next move he made Aiden fell to the ground with his legs wide apart, piercing his sword into him. The second man recovered and stood up running towards Aiden, Aiden stood up swiftly running towards a tree, he walked three steps on it and back down tumbled slitting his the throat of the guard. Aiden felt men studding to the ground behind him, as he turned, a lady dressed in black masking her face with black handkerchief. She fought Dukes men mercilessly with a chain having blades at both sides.
Aiden smiled walking towards her "Vanessa, you came"
She looked at him,her eyes like that of a wounded tiger she turned back at five men left. "The queen sent me, you have much blades left"
Aiden nods "I kept some on my way before reaching Vanilor"
Vanessa rolled her chain on the floor as she walked towards them. Aiden walked up to two guards before him, he knelt down throwing two blades at them as they stud to the ground. Aiden walks up to Duke.
Duke jumps down from his horse drawing out two swords from his back.
Men stud behind Aiden whom fought with Vanessa.
"Impressive" Duke accolades them.
Aiden held in his both hands blades with his fingers he threw them at Duke but he hits them of with sword swiftly.
Aiden and Vanessa ran towards Duke, but a force like a strong wind hitted them away, they fell far of from Duke, A black raven morphed into Olivia. Olivia walked gloriously and gracefully in her flowing simple gown, her hips swayed side to side.
Aiden threw two blades at Olivia but with her hands she controlled waves of strong wind which held the blade throwing it back at Aiden but it hitted a tree very close to Aiden.
Vanessa tries to run but Olivia wind like powers tied around Vanessa drawing her closer to herself has Vanessa struggled the strong grip of Olivia's power.
Aiden and Duke watched with shock.
Olivia looked at Vanessa and her mask fell off. "Leave and never return" the powers holding Vanessa threw her far to a tree as she fell to the ground holding her belly with blood coming out of her mouth.
Aiden rushed over to Vanessa helped her to her feet and rushed away with her.
"What! Don't let them go" Duke from behind Olivia.
"If they will return back to Valinor" Olivia turned and morphed back into a raven back to the palace and Duke stood watching the raven fly away,he turned to his men on the ground he
jumped on his horse and turned back to the palace.
