The world outside seemed to vanish as Y/N and Jungkook stood there, their hands finally touching, but even in this brief moment of connection, there was something more at play. The shadows were watching. They always were.
Suddenly, the sound of a phone ringing shattered the fragile moment. Jungkook's phone buzzed in his pocket, and his face went pale as he looked at the caller ID.
Yuri.
He glanced at Y/N, his expression unreadable once again. "I have to take this," he said quietly, stepping away from her as he answered the call.
Y/N stood there, her heart heavy in her chest, as she watched him walk into the shadows. She could hear his low voice on the other end, but the words were muffled, too distant to catch.
Her mind raced with a thousand questions. Was he really going to do it? Was he going to walk away from her again?
And then, she heard it. The sound of footsteps behind her.
"Y/N," a voice called, and she spun around to find Yoongi standing in the doorway, his face grave. "You need to leave. Now."
"What's happening?" she asked, her heart pounding in her chest.
"Jungkook is in deeper than you think," Yoongi said, his voice tense. "Yuri's pulling strings. If you stay here, you're only going to make things worse. You need to go. Now."
Y/N shook her head, refusing to believe it. "No. I'm not leaving him. Not again."
Yoongi stepped forward, his eyes filled with a mixture of frustration and something deeper—concern, maybe. "Y/N, please. He's already made his choice. And it's not you."
Y/N's world seemed to tilt on its axis. She couldn't breathe. Not me? She couldn't process the words. She couldn't understand them.
"Jungkook…" she whispered, her voice breaking. But the words were lost in the deafening silence that followed.
