Chapter 12 - chapter 12 the end of the seven days

Rin stood at the edge of the ruins, high above the battleground, his gaze cold and indifferent.

These people… I'll never care for them.

When he got Rin's memories , he knew how they think of humans, they think of them as inferior species like humans think of apes.

Still, his eyes drifted toward the unconscious commoner behind him.

The man had lost an arm for Rin. Fought by his side when he didn't have to. Naïve? Certainly. But Rin was no longer heartless enough to kill him for that. But if he died that won't bother him.

Rin turned and descended the ridge. The throne chamber below was no longer a battlefield,it had become a temple of power.

His two cousins stood shoulder to shoulder, clashing against the opposing country's twin princes. Flashes of power surged between them, blades of compressed bloodforce and echoes of dragon-enhanced blows. Even from a distance, Rin could feel the tremors. These were not the sort of people he could handle, not yet.

But the center of it all was not in motion.

Sitting atop the throne, surrounded by an aura of luminous white energy, was the eldest son of Guildmaster Valen,Rin's cousin. The 67% Purity monster. His eyes were closed, and his body radiated a stillness that screamed of triumph.

He had claimed the inheritance.

The throne had chosen him.

Rin exhaled slowly, a quiet sigh leaving his lips. I'm too weak…

He had power, yes. The system had brought him far. But stepping into that arena now would be suicide. All it took was one move from his cousin, and Rin's life would be over.

Instead, Rin looked down at the pouch of glittering sand he had taken from the western spy's body. Whatever it was, the man had risked his life for it. Even a fool wouldn't die for nothing.

Rin pocketed it. He'd analyze it later. Maybe it would be another step toward breaking this world's chains.

The battle between the princes didn't last long after the heritage was claimed. Realizing they were too late, the opposing nation's elites pulled back. The throne dimmed. Its glow faded.

It was over.

The inheritance belonged to the East.

And just like that, everyone began to retreat.

The powerful nobles and their guard forces vanished in streaks of energy, many carrying the wounded or dragging unconscious allies behind them. The massive stone archway that had dragged them all into this strange realm began to rumble.

A pulse of energy tore through the air,and then, the dimension collapsed.

Rin shielded his eyes as light engulfed the sky. The throne, the ruins, even the land itself disintegrated into white mist. Everyone was ejected at once, spat out from the relic like drifting leaves in a storm.

They landed hard on the scorched dirt outside the relic.

People groaned. Many threw up. Some wept. But they were alive.

He walked among the guild ranks with his dragon horns subtly visible, eyes glowing faintly with Tyrant Power. To the weak, he appeared untouchable.

He does that to scare and intimidate low levels guild members.

And when he saw low-level guild members being attacked by beasts or stragglers,he helped them.

Not with kindness, but with the air of a ruler descending to lift insects from the mud.

They adored him for it.

Because it was normal for thousands and thousands of people to die because the eastern people believed that if you can't protect yourself then you deserve to die.

And the system rewarded him.

"Respect Gained. Awe Registered. Fear Sensed."

He wasn't a king.

But to these people?

He was starting to look like one.

When the seven days were up, the gate closed.
