Chapter 9 - Your subordinates are not Bad 2

Or any universe in 1960s Europe.

There'd always be a wild Audrey Hepburn to catch.

His real goal, truly!

Was to accumulate at least 40,000 units of Origin Substance!

By then, he'd first eliminate his weakness to Kryptonite.

Then eliminate weaknesses to red, green, purple, and black suns…

Afterward, he'd earn more Origin Substance to boost his resistance to elemental and magical damage.

That way, he'd have temporary peace of mind.

Ugh, this peace of mind is so hard to come by.

Clearly stronger, yet the weaknesses multiply, sigh…

Perhaps he'd thought too long, or perhaps SHIELD was too impatient. The gloomy Heisenberg finally caught Barbara's attention.

From seven kilometers away, Heisenberg had already heard Barbara's voice.

For Kryptonians, their hearing is exceptionally keen.

So keen that if not controlled, the countless sounds they hear would drive them mad.

But once they adapt to Earth's environment and learn to control their hearing,

they can mark specific sounds.

No matter the distance, as long as the sound falls within their hearing range, they can instantly locate its source.

This is why Superman always finds his girlfriend when she's kidnapped!

In Batman v Superman, there's a classic scene.

At that time, no one in the world could find Superman, who was deliberately hiding.

Lex Luthor kidnapped Superman's girlfriend, Lois Lane, and took her to the rooftop of LexCorp.

There, he told her,

"I've found the key to Superman!"

Then, he pushed Lois Lane off the rooftop. With her screams, Superman instantly appeared to save her.

Superman could always show up at critical moments because Kryptonians can identify and mark sounds.

And what does this incident prove?

It proves that when someone is powerful enough, whether they're high-profile or low-key, their loved ones will always be harmed because of them.

As powerful as Heisenberg, whether you hide or show yourself, you can't change the fact that people fear you, and countless others want to exploit your ambitions.

So…

Either make yourself dangerous and deadly enough!

Or…

Find a partner powerful enough to never be threatened…

Well, hearing Barbara's voice, Heisenberg's thoughts wandered again.

He shook his head, banished the distractions, and quietly listened to Barbara's words.

At the intersection of Hell's Kitchen and Queens.

Specifically, in those blocks gang members call the "no-go zones."

Barbara was in a building, talking to a fat man.

Their conversation seemed to have concluded, and Barbara shook hands with the fat man amicably.

"Mr. Fisk, thank you for cooperating with our work. Your Second Basha Nightclub will become our key stronghold.

I hope you and your subordinates sever all ties with the Second Basha Nightclub!"

"No problem. After all, you're too generous—triple the price. It's hard for me to refuse…"

Boom!

The massive floor-to-ceiling window shattered instantly, and Heisenberg, accompanied by countless shards of glass, appeared beside Barbara.

Facing the three people staring at him like he was a demon, Heisenberg smiled and asked Barbara,

"Got the bar I wanted? Second Basha?"

He shook his head disapprovingly.

"The name's too tacky. Change it!

Let me think… How about 'Academy of Sciences'? Let those drunkards experience being surrounded by knowledge?"

"Damn, who is this? Bullseye!"

From a distance, Fisk, just recovering from his shock, instantly ordered Bullseye to test Heisenberg.

He was Fisk, the Kingpin of New York. He could accept a government agency forcibly buying his bar at triple the price, but he wouldn't tolerate such blatant intrusion.

Even if the person breaking in was the FBI, he'd kill to show the FBI leadership.

He'd make everyone know, and remember forever,

that not everyone has the right to offend Fisk!

With Fisk's order, Bullseye, with a small target drawn on his head, instantly drew his throwing knives.

In mere moments, at least six knives flew toward Heisenberg's eyes and nose from different angles.

Looking at the harmless little knives, Heisenberg didn't even bother dodging.

He let the knives hit his face, and even when one stabbed his eyeball, he didn't blink.

Clink, clink, clink…

The knives fell uselessly to the ground, but Bullseye's attack didn't stop.

Now he understood Heisenberg was no ordinary man, but so what? He'd killed plenty of extraordinary people like Heisenberg!

Of course, that was just his delusion, as he'd never had the honor of clashing with someone as overwhelmingly powerful as Heisenberg.

In Bullseye's mind, facing someone with a body that hard, he'd naturally switch to electric knives.

Paralyze them, then look for weaknesses—it was his usual tactic.

But before he could draw the special knife hidden in his collar, Heisenberg had already floated in front of him.

Grabbing Bullseye's shoulder, the poor man knelt to the ground.

Heisenberg looked at Bullseye's forehead and said,

"Seems like there's something wrong with your brain, an unusual and extreme love for circles.

But your execution is excellent. As soon as your boss gave the order, you acted immediately, regardless of right or wrong!

This tactical discipline and obedience to orders—even among my former subordinates, not everyone could do that!"

After praising Bullseye, Heisenberg turned to Fisk.

"Just now, I heard Barbara negotiate the deal with you, so I came to meet you. After all, the bar I'll use for rest was once yours.

Now that I've met you, my impression isn't great. You're too confident and cruel, choosing to kill at the slightest disagreement. That'll bring you bad luck, believe me!"

Saying this, Heisenberg gently patted Bullseye's shoulder, still kneeling on the ground.

"Though your personality isn't great, your subordinate is genuinely good, a talent worth cultivating.

I'll take this subordinate. As for the price of taking your man, how about I leave you a corpse?"

"Hmph!"

Hearing Heisenberg's taunt, Fisk laughed as if mocking a fool.

After laughing enough, he sneered at Heisenberg,

"You want my territory and think you can control my subordinate? You seem particularly delusional.

At least before making my subordinate serve you, you should ask his opinion, right?"

Hearing this, Heisenberg nodded in agreement, then looked seriously at Bullseye.

"Your boss is asking you. Follow me from now on, how about it?"

As Heisenberg finished speaking, Bullseye pondered for a moment, then nodded.

Heisenberg smiled in satisfaction.

"See, this is…"

Clink!!!

A metallic clang—Bullseye's secretly drawn dagger was effortlessly blocked by Heisenberg's body.

Looking at the broken dagger, Bullseye was stunned beyond words.

Heisenberg, seeing his torn pants, fell silent for a moment.

Then he nodded at Bullseye again.

"Very good, I've discovered another of your strengths—utter loyalty!

But since you don't like betraying, how about I directly eliminate your former boss? Then you serving me wouldn't be called betrayal!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Heisenberg released Bullseye's shoulder and instantly appeared before Fisk's massive body.

Raising his right hand,

Smack!

With considerable force, he slapped Fisk's head clean off his neck!

The fierce palm strike not only completely pulverized Fisk's head but also obliterated the wall behind him.

Only then did Fisk's blood begin gushing from his severed carotid artery.
