Chapter Three – The Encounter I Was Looking For

One year later

Stoick sat at the table, sharing breakfast with his two sons. He looked at Thor, who grew stronger by the day—worthy of a child blessed by Odin. Stoick gave an approving nod. Then his gaze shifted to his other son, Hiccup. If Thor reminded him of himself in his youth, Hiccup was the reflection of Valka: the same gentleness... and the same fragility.

Sometimes, Stoick wondered how Hiccup would survive in such a harsh world without strength. But he pushed those thoughts aside and looked at his sons with a sigh.

— Thor, Hiccup... what are your plans for today? — he asked, taking a sip of his coffee.

— I'm going to learn forging with Gobber! — Hiccup replied with excitement. — You'll see, Dad! I'll become a great Viking!

— Yes, I believe in you, son. And you, Thor?

Thor looked up and answered:

— I'm heading to the forest to train. Brother, ask Gobber to make an axe for me.

— Thor, — Stoick said firmly — when you train, be careful not to hurt anyone. Something small for you could be deadly to others.

— Understood, Dad. I'll be careful. Bye!

Thor activated his powers and vanished in a flash of lightning, streaking toward the forest.

— Be careful with the people! — Stoick shouted as his son disappeared.

Hiccup watched in awe. He had seen his brother use his powers countless times, but it never stopped being cool. He stood up, eyes gleaming with determination.

— Bye, Dad!

Stoick watched his sons leave and murmured to himself:

— Valka... if you were here, our family would be complete.

Elsewhere, in the heart of the forest…

Thor arrived at his usual training spot, surrounded by trees and boulders.

— A whole year has passed. My powers have grown a lot. I can already lift three tons and run a hundred meters per second when I activate my lightning… Now, time to train.

He stood before a massive stone and began to punch it with controlled fury.

— Following Garp's training… One day, I'll have fists as strong as his. Sure, I'm only punching a rock now… but someday, I'll use a continent as my punching bag!

Hours passed. Exhausted and drenched in sweat, Thor collapsed to the ground, his muscles screaming.

Suddenly, he heard something.

— Roars? — he thought, eyes narrowing. — Must be dragons!

He sprang to his feet and dashed toward the noise. When he arrived, he was stunned.

The dragons he saw weren't particularly strong. But one thing left him speechless:

— A Light Fury?!

His eyes widened in disbelief.

— But it's way too early for her to appear...

Then he saw her: small, wounded, and clearly still a child. She was being overpowered by a Deadly Nadder. Her cry of pain snapped him back into focus.

He clenched his fists.

— I've seen enough.

He dashed forward.

— Thunder God's Punch!

A lightning-charged blow crashed into the Nadder, sending it flying. But the dragon rose again, enraged, and launched another attack.

Thor sighed.

— Even the weakest dragon is still a dragon... Let's go!

He clashed with the Nadder, exchanging powerful blows. At one point, the dragon hurled him to the ground and lunged to stomp him. Thor barely dodged in time.

The Light Fury, seeing Thor protecting her, acted. She fired a plasma blast at the Nadder.

— Now! — Thor shouted.

He rose and unleashed a storm of thunder punches, striking with relentless force. Together, he and the young Light Fury drove the dragon away.

Panting, Thor approached the small dragoness and slowly extended his hand. She hesitated for a moment… then gently touched her nose to his palm.

Thor smiled.

— Do you want to be my partner?

The Light Fury stepped closer.

Suddenly, Thor's contract power activated. A radiant light enveloped them both, pulsing with energy.

When it faded, Thor stared at her in awe.

— This is...
