Alexina POV.
Voices swarmed around my head as I stirred frantically in my bed. They began to suffocate me, their viciousness making their way through my ears and what feels like my soul.
"You will lose."
The voice echoed through my head and I grabbed my pillow and wrapped it around my ears.
"Alex, help me,"
That voice, its too familiar. Why is he struggling? Why does he sound like he is in pain?
"BENNETT!" I screamed as I bolted from the bed and realised how erratic my breathing is.
Bennett.
Why can I hear him?
Beads of sweat covered and drip from my forehead as I leaned beack against the headboard.
I picked up my phone, wondering if it's worth it to even call my parents. Its only six in the morning, I got home two hours ago.
Knowing I'm not going to be able to sleep, I pulled a pair of black and white stripe leggings over my legs along with the biggest jumper I can find. My hair is already in its ponytail and I slipped my feet into some trainers and made my way out of my bedroom.
Quietly closing the door, I grabbed my keys and turned around to ensure that everything in the apartment is okay.
Last thing I need is Malin calling me because something bad has happened.
Running downstairs and outside, I reached my car. I turned around, searching the other buildings with my eyes making sure that nobody was there.
I climbed into the car but didn't move. I gripped the steering wheel, my head hitting my seat as a tear slipped down my cheek. The saltiness spreading across my lips as the tears continued to pour.
"Bennett." My voice broke.
Of all people it could have been that night. It was Bennett.
Putting my foot on the gas, I wiped my tears and drove out of the academy gates. Driving to the human part of town is something that I really shouldn't be doing but its something I do when I feel like this.
When I feel like pure shit.
Stopping outside the Lake mansion, I parked the car and entered the code into the gate.
The rain began to pour, dampening my clothing and my hair. Splashes of water covered my trainers as they repeatedly hit the floor forcefully.
I walked towards the mansion, its bricks have been painted a fresh white, a fountain in the middle of the drive with water surrounding it.
Knocking on the door, I wrapped my arms around my body, goosebumps on my skin.
What the heck is taking so long?
The click of the door caught my attention and I looked up instantly to see Milani. Her face tired but her eyes widened when she saw me.
Her usual pyjamas a unicorn onesie with matching slippers covering her body and I watched as her bun flopped to the other side of her head.
"Lexi?"
Opening her arms she pulled me in to a warm hug, her arms circling around me as she ran her hands through my hair.
"Its okay, you're okay," she soothed.
Am I though Milani?
Am I okay?

Grayson POV.
Oh shit.
My head.
It hurts.
Groaning, I sat up. My head throbbed and stomach threatening to turn over from last night and its fantastic events.
I don't remember how much I drank or what I drank. All I remember is drinking alcohol. A lot of it.
Oh! And I remember falling through the door, being greeted by Alexina and Connor. And I'm pretty sure I hugged Connor's leg at one point but I can't remember.
Alexina. I remember her clearly.
The look on her face as I fell through the door will be something I am forever going to be embarrassed about.
I stretched my arms before throwing a yellow jumper over my body along with a pair of joggers.
Not missing the amused looks I was being given as I made my way to the living room is something that I'm not a fan of.
"What are you all looking at?" I snapped as I rolled my eyes at Billy who was hugging Hudson's leg and laughing.
"You can't handle you're alcohol," Connor laughed as he stood up and grabbed his jacket.
"You're just upset because I know how to have a good time," I smirked and Billy burst out laughing.
"Oh yeah because hugging your roomates leg after a night out is something we all do to have a good time," Billy mocked me and I glared at him before feeling my fangs pierce through.
Within a split second, I had Billy gripped up against the wall, his eyes drifted to my fangs and as much as he is trying to act like he isn't bothered, I can feel him shaking.
Let's be honest. The most fearless one out of these four is Alexina.
Not Billy.
Not Connor.
Not Hudson.
Just Alexina.
I'll never forget her face the other night. I heard those voices and within seconds I made my way to her.
Billy and Abigial wouldn't have been fast enough. I didn't go because I had this sudden drive to protect her, I wanted to know what the bloody hell was going on.
But her body next to mine when I pulled her beside me, he skin brushed against mine, the warmth from her which I know isn't the fire flowing through her veins.
And Bennett? Who is this Bennett that she was so bothered about?
"Piss me off again. I dare-"
"Right!" Connor sighed as he clicked his fingers at Billy and Hudson.
Letting Billy slip from my grip, Connor threw coats at them both and I stared at him confused.
"What's happened?" Hudson asked as he put his coat on.
"Abby just told me that Alexina isn't in their dorm. And that she isn't answering her phone," he grabbed his car keys and gestured for the boys to hurry up.
"Lets go!" Billy ushered and I was quite startled at how quick they move for each other.
If that was TJ or Lucian, I wouldn't be like this.
I guess it really is true about what they say about elementals. They really do have each others back.
"Can I come with you guys?" I asked and they all stared at me before shrugging their shoulders.
"Hurry up then fangs, we don't have all day."
-----
"Do you reckon she has fallen back down again?" Hudson whispered. Probably so I didn't hear.
I'm a vampire.
I hear everything.
"I don't know. If she has, I don't know how we're going to help her this time." Connor replied back to him and I followed them through the gates.
The mansion is beautiful. Nothing that I've ever seen before, its exterior is white and its surrounded by dark green nature which I think would most likely attract Wolves at night.
Following behind the boys, the door opened and my eyes widened at the sight of the girl who answered.
Isn't she one of their friends?
I've seen her in the club before.
"You've brought fangs?" She asked giving me a once over.
Why am I being given a once over?
She is in a unicorn onesie!
"Where is Alexina?" I asked. My foot tapping in the step freakishly fast as my hands found comfort in my pockets.
"She is in here." The girl sighed as she opened the door wider and lead us through the house.
The old antique shop vibe is what I'm getting here. It smells like polished wood and I'm not getting good or happy smiles from some of the people in the building.
I know I'm a vampire, but come on now guys? We're not all bad.
Nodding his head, Connor smiled at the girl before pushing open the black door which turned to be a gigantic hall.
A hall with only Alexina in it.
"She has been in here since early this morning. She showed up in tears. I think she is getting the nightmares again," the girl gestured to Alexina.
Dressed in black and white stripe leggings with a baggy jumper. Her hair tied up effotlessly messy. Her body moved perfectly, every move was in sync with her flame.
I watched as she made actions with her hands, some simple, some taking more effort than others.
Her actions are captivating, her concentration on something she knows already is astonishing. How can someone be so reckless with their power yet so thoughtful when using it.
One simple swift of her arm and the biggest flame I've ever seen hovered over her, she twirled her finger around, creating a fire tornado before clicking her fingers, within seconds the flame disappeared as did her passion.
No wonder she is the fire element. Fire is known for being strong, beautiful and deadly, yet when you take too much of it, it can suffocate you, stop everything you are and end it.
"Dude. Put you're eyes back in before I stomp on them." Hudson smirked at me and I rolled my eyes at him before again turning my attention back onto Alexina.
She twirled around, and her eyes darted to the four of us at the front of the hall. Her eyes training on me that little longer.
Oh yeah. Take all of this hotness in.
"Grayson?" Her voice broke and my eyes widened at the weakness she was showing.
Thats one thing elementals are not allowed to do.
Its a known fact.
Elementals are not allowed to show weakness.
So why is she?
