Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

The Awakening

The storm clouds churn with fury, crackling with lightning as if enraged. The mountains tremble, and the ground roars beneath the feet of two adversaries locked in an intense standoff. The palace shakes violently as an earthquake rattles its foundations, sending shockwaves through its halls. Every force converges in a chaotic cycle, shattering the palace's pillars with relentless energy.

A colossal presence emerges from the sword—blue brilliance to its left, scorching red to its right. It ascends like a blazing star, its radiance piercing the palace grounds. The sheer magnitude of its power is deafening, like sunlight exploding upon stone.

In a moment of raw defiance, he shatters the ritual spell. The wise one seized by terror, order the guards to strike down Theo, yet, none dare move—his gaze alone could unnerve even the devil himself. He rescues Deborah, channeling feverish energy to heal her core, and then, with a single powerful motion, he takes flight.

Even after he vanishes into the sky, his presence lingers—a suffocating aura that drains the palace of air. None dare breathe. They tremble, feet frozen, bodies betraying them as they collapse to their knees. Overcome by fear, they bow."

Theo takes Deborah to a hidden cave in the Zlynx forest, where they hide for the meantime. The wise one, orders a special group of cultivators to hunt Theo down and bring him dead or alive.'

Diego, in a panic, protests, 'But that's not what we agreed on! We only said to awaken him , seal him to take the sword!'

Diego exclaims, 'You saw what he can do with that sword. So much that his presence overwhelmed my soldiers, where they barely moved an inch, even after my orders! So now, make yourself useful and lure out your brother—or I will,' the wise one says.

The city of Zlynx, of the Phoenix clan, knew not peace as soldiers marched the streets with swords, bows, spells, and talismans, searching from house to house, scattering to find Theo.

Two days later, Theo is still treating Deborah when she finally wakes up and mutters, 'Where am I?'

'You saved me,' she says while trying to sit up. She begins coughing, and Theo hands her a cup of fresh water. She thanks Theo. The duo have dinntin the, as they sit by the fire in the middle feeling the warth.. A moment of silence fills the air, and they both try to avoid eye contact, struggling to break the ice.

Theo finally breaks the ice by asking about her parents. She tells him, 'My mom passed away during the war. My dad left me when I was seven years old—he was depressed by my mom's death. I was taken in by Elena, a lady of nature. She raised me until I was able to live on my own,' Deborah explains.

'What about you?' Deborah asks.

Theo responds, 'My dad passed away ten years ago, and my mom died after giving birth to me.My brother took care of me since then.'

'That must have been hard,' Deborah says.

A heavy wind blows away the fire. Theo cant lit the flame with his powers or he'll risk their location being exposed. Theo notices that Deborah is affected by the cold, so they cuddle, sitting together to sleep for warmth.

Deborah heart races twice as fast as before.

In the void realm, the Leviathan is free but still weak and unable to escape the the potent part of the seal .A sly voice full of rage hums the entire realm.

"Set me free," the Leviathan says.

The next morning, Theo wakes up, but Deborah is still asleep. He takes his robe to cover her , while he go to search for food. Theo is out in the woods when he sees a paper announcing the execution of his brother, set to happen the following night. He walks back to the cave and finds Deborah fainted. He quickly rushes to her and lays her down.

"The sacred flame of the Phoenix judgment has harmed your core too," Deborah says I'm ok.

Deborah:" it's just a minor pain"

Theo: " you're really stubborn. Maybe you can teach me how you healed me when you first found me.

Deborah: I wasn't meant to find true love as death must snatch it away. I know we've fallen for each other but fail to admit it.

Deborah says in a weak voice

Tears begin to rush from Theo's eyes as Deborah refuses to teach him, crying in pain. He tries healing her with magic, but it won't restore her core. A few hours later, Deborah passes out.

Theo cries and yells in anger as a black, smoky aura rises from him into the air.

"This is all their fault, not mine. I wasn't weak," Theo murmurs.

In his rage, he leaves her body behind. He leaves the cave. Later he activates the sword of Val'thar and the wise one located him but to his dismay theo already stands at the front of the palace, he is confronted by the cultivators. Anger burns in Theo's eyes, as an aura of fire flows from his body. He snaps his fingers, sending a heavy force of flames crashing through, breaking the cultivators' defenses and sending them flying.

He makes his way true with great speed scattering the cultivators in one step. However ,the wise one had known of the power in the sword of Val'thar I had sent for the spell sleepers _a group of formidable masters in the arts of making seals.

A ritual was performed few hours before Theo arrived. Now Theo while moving, steps into it and formation activates. The formatiom seals the sword power but it's too slow, yet the power of the sword fights back . The spell is then fueled and it seals half of Theo's power.

Diego seesing that if the power is sealed Theo will die so he begs the wise one not to do it but he's words fall on deaf ears . Diego has no choice but to fight against the spell sleepers. The fight is fierces but they are master cultivators so they and they cut him and slash him .

Theo screams "No no "his red eyes shines brighter as he floats in the air pointing his sword to the ground and lands with one knee on the ground and the bleed tip on the ground a force mirroring the impact of a meteor fall is emitted and which sends soldiers and the cultivators flying as the palace building scattered to smitherings.

Theo gazes at the spell mark—the very one he once wished to use against Theo. As the spell activates, it annihilates Drego's core. Diego begins to fade into thin air. Theo, overcome with anguish, cries out, "No! Please don't leave me, Drego!"

With his final breath, Drego utters a cryptic code: "Myspelldex." Then, his form dissipates, leaving Theo in shattered regret. As Drego's smoky essence drifts away, Theo staggers to the cave where Deborah's lifeless body lies. He kneels and presses a sorrowful kiss upon her forehead. Suddenly, a greenish-white light pulses through the cave—a seed of energy. Life surges from Deborah's being, flowing into Theo. In turn, life is restored to her.

Deborah awakens.

A spark of hope ignites in Theo's heart, and joy floods his soul. Tears streaming down his face, he embraces her tightly. Deborah whispers, "I will never leave you again." They make a solemn promise, sealing it with a kiss.

Under the cover of darkness, Theo and Deborah flee the clan, journeying far from the only home they've ever known. But before leaving, Theo visits his childhood home one last time. Drego's final words echo in his mind. He murmurs them softly: "Myspelldex."

A hidden compartment creaks open. Inside lies a box crafted from French wood, within which rests a scroll bearing a single name— Nine Divine Phoenix sword techniques.

The duo leave and travel far away to the kingdom of Eldoria. Theo decides to wear a mask in a phoenix shape and he begins to slay evil souls then he was recognized as the soul killer.

He practiced the ten divine Phoenix sword technique but it's never works so he abandoned the book.
