Chapter 2 - Experiments and Tyrant

Hell.

That's the only word to describe the next few months I spent at the Umbrella Corporation. So much so that the time I suffered while my body struggled to adapt to the T-virus seemed like child's play.

After they found out that I was a successful experiment, completely integrated with the T-Virus, I thought I would be free from some tortures at least. I couldn't be more wrong. The tests mentioned by Sabrina, the researcher who approached me at the time, were utterly inhuman.

Every day, they stuck huge needles in various parts of my body, including in my head, without anesthesia. They injected compounds and strange colored liquids that I had no idea what they were, but they made my body tremble with pain worse than death.

However, I couldn't die. Oh, no sir.

The healing factor provided by the T-Virus kept me alive, no matter what they did, and each time I was near death, the virus would evolve, and the healing factor would evolve too.

And when the damn chief researcher found out about it, they made the others cut me, again and again, to study my body. It started with the fingers, then the feet, then hands, then legs - they even removed the top of my skull to see how my brain reacted and behaved in real time.

Darn psychos.

All this while I was conscious to get the best results in the tests.

People might wonder how I haven't gone mad yet if they saw waht happened to me. Well, it's all thanks to the T-Virus and my body, again. My desire to have an adaptable body that evolved, together with the characteristics of the T-Virus, made my body adapt to extreme pain and torture after months of testing. With each needle, I felt less pain, with each electric shock, I burned less, with each cut, my skin became more resistant, and so on.

Slowly, not only the virus, but my body evolved, and with the same speed, my hatred for this organization grew too.

I'm only behaving myself because I haven't received my Mutamycete yet, even after months in the facilities. I can't wait to kill everyone in this place, but not before torturing them.

Very, very slowly....

Interrupting my monologue, my attention goes to the heavily fortified door of my room, which opened. A researcher entered, looking at me with disdain.

"D-001, come with me," the scientist said, turning around and walking out of my room.

I said nothing, just got up and followed him. I pretended to be completely numb to the world, as if the torture had broken me. If they told me to do something, I would do it, if they talked to me, I would respond. It was simple, but effective in making them let their guard down - making them think they were in control.

I walked right behind the scientist and wandered through the facilities. Every time I left my room, I memorized the sections I passed through. I memorized every face, every smell, and stored it in my memory.

When I'm complete, I will hunt everyone down, no exceptions.

And I'll do it with a very satisfied smile on my face.

After several minutes of walking through the facilities, we reached a door that led to a huge bridge that connected to the other side. The bridge was suspended over a huge hole. We crossed the bridge, and arrived on the other side where there was a huge steel gate, where other scientists were waiting, including the man I hate the most.

Dr. Ironwall.

The man responsible for me and the tests done on me. The hatred inside me starts to bubble, and I need to strongly contain myself not to jump and rip the throat of that damn man.

Fortunately, none of these idiots can perceive the thirst for blood, otherwise my act of a well-behaved little girl would go down the drain.

Ironwall looks at me with a disgusting smile, "Well, well, if it isn't my favorite little girl! I'm glad you're here, today we'll have a special session."

I didn't answer, I just nodded with my dull, lifeless eyes staring at him without any emotion. What does this bastard mean by special session?

"You see, my dear Bel. For months, we investigated what your body can do, what it can withstand, and all tests resulted in the same conclusion: you, my girl, have the perfect body. Not only did you integrate perfectly with the T-Virus, but also with various other T-Virus variants that were in testing, and even other extremely dangerous diseases and venom!

"!"

What?! This guy is crazy to inject those things into a child's body! No, he's worse than crazy! This bastard has completely lost his mind!

He continued, "and all of this was absorbed, surpassed! Integrating with you, making your body stronger, more resistant! More... evolved."

Ironwall eyes shone with crazyness as he said that. Darn bastard.

"I don't understand..." I said in fake confusion, and Ironwall looked at me with pity. Oh, how I want to rip those eyes out and make you swallow them.

"Don't worry, dear. You don't need to understand, all you need to do, is to do what I order you. Now come, today marks the beginning of your powers tests."

Oh?

Those last words caught me off guard.

Powers tests? Now that he says that, I don't know exactly what I can do, apart from my super regeneration and adaptation. Fortunately, this bastard is giving me the chance to find out, and I'll use every second of my time to perfect it and evolve.

On the side of the bridge where we were, there was a huge steel gate, and Ironwall, as he put his card on the panel next to it, a robotic voice spoke through speakers.

[Welcome to block C3, Doctor Ironwall]

Soon after that, the huge steel gate in front of us began to open, revealing...Another steel gate that opened...And another.

What are they keeping here that they need so many gates for?

When it opened completely, I could finally see what was inside. There was nothing, just a huge empty space. The empty space is a large square, almost half the size of a football stadium, and of course, surrounded by steel walls.

This doesn't smell good to me.

"Now dear, come in so we can start, okay?"

I nodded obediently and entered Inside. Then the gates started to close behind me, and I turned around and faced Ironwall.

"Try to survive as much as you can, okay?" He said with a smile.

"...."

Damn lunatic.

When the doors closed, red lights started flashing inside the huge arena with a deafening noise, and then I heard the robotic voice again.

[Project Beelzebub D-001, beginning of Combat Tests]

As soon as he finished speaking, a hidden door began to open on the other side of the square, revealing a pitch dark background. Then I hear heavy footsteps - whatever it is the thing that is walking, it's heavy.

Then finally see, a huge humanoid monster completely disfigured coming towards me. Slowly, and bloodthirsty

Its body is a grayish-green color and it's a mess of skin, flesh, and bones, forming a monster with huge claws. The strangest thing was its chest, which had a huge pulsating heart halfway out.

I remember very well what this ugly monstrosity is. This is the first prototype of Tyrant created by Umbrella. That's good, it seems like I'm in the early's 1998.

For reference, the Raccoon City accident happened in late September of this same year. That gives me some time to get stronger and get ready to destroy these lunatics from the face of the earth.

[First combat test. D-001 against T-001]

I snap out of my thoughts when I hear the robotic voice again, and the gravity of the situation I was took hold of me.

It's a good starting plan, of course. That is if I can survive this thing that looks ready to rip me apart.

The Proto-Tyrant finally seems to have noticed me, and it roars in my direction, marking the beginning of the slaugther.

Darn it...
