Chapter 65 - Child, You Cannot Be Led Astray By Eric

Magneto has always been a man of spectacle.

Manipulating missiles across the sky, dismantling the Golden Gate Bridge, moving stadiums...

But seeing Magneto effortlessly use the classic electromagnetic shield from the comics, and manipulate the steel vortex above his head as if it were nothing, Russell suspected that this World seemed closer to the comic book version than the movie version.

"Unless absolutely necessary, I will never kill my own kind," Magneto replied coldly, "But you have to choose your stance, young man. Will You stand with your own kind, or with the humans who persecute us?"

He couldn't guarantee that he could pull back his next attack in time, so he remained suspended and motionless.

"I choose neither. I will do whatever I want, and no one can force me."

Russell sneered and swooped down like lightning to attack. Magneto pulled downwards from a distance, activating the steel vortex, which spun down like a shredder to attack, but its speed was still a bit too slow.

Only a portion of the metal had time to smash towards Russell. His eyes glowed with Cyclops beams, vaporizing all the steel in front of him.

In the blink of an eye, Russell arrived in front of Magneto, firing lasers containing terrifying energy from his eyes, which slammed into his energy shield.

"No..."

Magneto had previously effortlessly neutralized Cyclops's attack by using his ability to distort light with electromagnetic fields, even playfully sending the lasers back to knock down Cyclops and Storm.

But Russell's lasers were a bit too strong, making it extremely difficult for him to deflect and block them.

Magneto's force field shield was strong enough to easily withstand a zero-distance nuclear explosion, but Russell's Cyclops beam power was more concentrated, and its single-target killing power surpassed that of a nuclear explosion.

Buzz buzz!

The invisible electromagnetic force field shield began to become unstable.

Taking advantage of this moment, Russell punched through Magneto's electromagnetic force field, his fist trailing Fire, and landed heavily on Magneto's chest.

Bang bang bang!

Magneto was sent flying backward, smashing through three concrete walls before he managed to stabilize himself.

He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, only to find that Russell had disappeared again.

In addition to creating electromagnetic force fields, Magneto could also use powerful magnetic field strength to reinforce the metal fibers in the battle suit he wore to resist attacks, making the suit as hard as armor, with defense close to Adamantium.

However, with that punch just now, Russell could have hit Magneto in the face; Magneto's head is certainly not as hard as steel, but he didn't do that.

This was also a way to repay Magneto for ruining his plan, and for not having any killing intent towards him.

"Above!"

A voice came, and battle instinct made Magneto look up, just in time to see Russell punching down from the sky.

Magneto urgently drew all the surrounding metal, hastily forming a steel shield dozens of meters thick above his head.

A ten-meter thick steel shield is enough to withstand a small nuclear explosion.

Russell's fist struck down, the Impact knocking down all buildings within a radius of several miles.

The shield deformed and caved in as if struck by a meteorite, and was directly torn in half.

Magneto was greatly shocked.

A fierce wind rushed at him, making it impossible for him to open his eyes, and the fist capable of leveling a hill stopped steadily three inches above his head.

"You lose!"

Changing his fist into a palm, Russell took off his helmet and played with it for a moment.

Magneto's face flushed and then paled. Being defeated by a young man who looked less than twenty years old made him feel humiliated and his mind was shaken.

"You win today, young man.

Your power is astonishing."

"You don't seem convinced?"

Having almost familiarized himself with the molecular structure of Magneto's helmet, Russell threw it back with a flick of his hand.

Blue light controlled the sand and stones on the ground to fly up, and under the shaping of an invisible hand, the material transformed into metal, and then was shaped into an identical helmet.

Russell put it on his head, and then conjured a mirror to fly up, as if he were trying on hats in a hat shop, adjusting it while looking in the mirror.

His attention was not much on Magneto the whole time.

It was as if defeating Magneto, who was still the most powerful Mutant on Earth, was just a trivial matter.

"Think about the potential of your ability."

No matter how many times he saw it, Magneto was still surprised by this creator-like ability, and even his gaze moved towards Russell's face with some fervor, looking directly at him.

"As long as You wish, You can join the Mutant Brotherhood, and everything can be discussed!"

He raised his hands, speaking with impassioned fervor as if giving a speech.

"Think about it, Infinitoid, we can create a World as beautiful as Eden, where our kind live, lacking nothing to eat or wear, and not having to worry about money.

The status of us Mutants will leap from being rats hiding in the gutters to being envied by everyone worldwide!

Our kind will regard You as a Holy Child."

This is the benefit of power.

Before Russell displayed his powerful strength, although Magneto was surprised by Russell's ability to manipulate matter, he only invited him to be his second-in-command.

But Russell defeated him, and suddenly everything could be discussed.

"What You said is very tempting, but I am not used to discussing things with others before doing them."

Waving his hand to dismiss the mirror, Russell shook his head.

When switching to the Eve template, his body was relatively 'fragile'.

If he were facing others, Russell would not dare to be so casual, but Magneto's character and reputation still had some value.

Especially now that he was considered a part of the Mutants.

Facing humans, Magneto was a crazy Terrorist, but to some Mutants, he was a great leader who explored the future of their race and was willing to dedicate himself to the Mutant cause.

"Magneto!"

Suddenly, a voice came from the sky. A beautiful girl, with red hair like flames, skin as white as snow, and lips like a budding rose, landed on the ground with anxious amber eyes.

"You absolutely cannot trigger a war so rashly!"

Beside her was a silver-haired man, wearing a leather jacket, wrapped in red energy and flying with her, although he had his arms crossed and didn't seem particularly willing.

He just had to be dragged along by his sister to persuade their Magneto.

"Wait a moment, Wanda."

Holding up his palm for his son and daughter to wait, Magneto's expression was serious, and he snorted coldly.

"Young man, don't think that just because You were lucky enough to defeat me once, You can lord over me. I just have a heart for talent, and I haven't used many of my abilities yet.

Moreover, young man, how old are You? Have You ever had experience managing a force, or even a country?"

Russell could no longer hear anything from Magneto's side; he was completely drawn to the red figure that had just landed from the sky.

"Scarlet Witch?"

Scarlet Witch's figure was tall and elegant, her crimson robe outlining perfect curves, and chaotic energy wrapped around her like a mist, possessing a fatal attraction for any man.

Especially Russell.

Not just because of her beautiful appearance, but also because of her ability.

The 'chaos magic', which was like a cheat code, capable of changing the reality of the World with a single word.

"What did Magneto just say?" Quicksilver was surprised. He actually heard his usually arrogant old Magneto admit that he was defeated.

And defeated by this young man?

Wanda, who was anxious to stop her Magneto from launching a nuclear missile and causing a World war, looked around, frowned slightly, and then noticed the collapsed military Base, which didn't seem to be caused by metal manipulation.

She looked at the handsome young man in front of her, also a little disbelieving.

Did he defeat Magneto?

"Cough... What You said seems to make some sense, I'll consider it."

Russell turned his gaze back to Magneto and said.

Originally, he had a different idea; he could do these things by himself, it was just bringing the Mutant nation from the original plot forward, making it the focus of the World.

But when he saw Scarlet Witch, he immediately changed his mind.

This X-Men Universe actually had Scarlet Witch.

"Consider it?" Magneto looked at his beautiful daughter, then at Russell, smiled with a meaningful look in his eyes, and didn't mind, patting his shoulder.

"Then You should consider it carefully."

"Let's leave here first."

"Wait a moment..." All the buildings in the entire Base were knocked down by the terrifying Impact. Fortunately, at the critical moment, Storm controlled the strong wind to block in front of the three of them, holding up a collapsing wall, thus escaping disaster.

"Child, You must never be led astray by Eric and go to extremes like him."

Professor X was startled when he saw Russell about to leave with Magneto, and used Cyclops's mouth to try and make him stay.

Looking at the disaster-like destructive power around them, Wolverine and the other two were all still shaken, and seeing that young Mutant about to be persuaded and taken away by Magneto, their faces all changed.

"Infinitoid, our kind, are You sure You want to go with Magneto? He is a globally recognized Mutant Terrorist! It is because of him that our Mutant reputation is so bad!"

Stormfront said urgently.

They didn't expect Russell to forcefully stop Magneto from launching nuclear missiles and causing a World war, and defeat him. He undoubtedly seemed to be on their side.

Now, after just a few words, he was going to leave with Magneto instead!
