Chapter 71 - Sentinel 'Mother Mold'

"Stop, You can't kill me, I am United States Congressman Henry Gyrich!"

The icy gaze made his soul tremble, Henry Gyrich gritted his teeth and raised his hands.

"Dr. Trask, save me!"

He quickly looked at a camera probe in the room for help.

Trask?

Bolivar Trask?

Russell heard this familiar name and instantly thought of the inventor of the Sentinel. This Henry Gyrich is also American like him, probably a partner?

"Eliminate Mutants! Eliminate Mutants!"

"Rescue Henry Gyrich."

Rumble!

A mechanical, cold voice sounded.

The roof was peeled back, and over a dozen giant Sentinels seemed to overlook ants in a sandbox. Their expressionless steel faces sent a chill down one's spine. Over a dozen palms were raised, aimed at the interior of the room.

Terrifying cold air swept through every corner of the room like a tide.

Ice instantly sealed the entire room, forming a giant ice block.

But the over a dozen giant Sentinels found that the target was missing from the frozen ice. Turning their heads, they saw that the cloaked figure had somehow reached the sky.

A tall cement factory building, not far away was the giant Sentinel factory.

Henry Gyrich naturally wanted to build the most important facilities in the safest place, and what place could be safer than next to the cowardly President Ansel's residence?

When Russell flew over, he saw the giant Sentinels in the Sentinel factories waiting on standby for orders.

However, he still came over to first solve the problem of the Mutants' power-limiting collars.

"I'll give You one chance, can You shut them down?"

High in the sky, Russell looked at Henry Gyrich, whom he was holding like a dead dog.

The indifferent voice drifted into his ears, and Henry Gyrich shivered.

The miserable death of Ansel, who was killed after being used, flashed through his mind.

The tone was exactly the same.

He clearly knew that he had seen Ansel's fate, yet he asked mockingly, certain that he had no choice at all.

This Mutant bastard!

"I... I can!"

Cold sweat seeped from Henry Gyrich's forehead. Terrified, he quickly waved his arms at the over a dozen giant Sentinels and shouted.

"Bolivar, make them stop, stop them all!"

Russell looked.

Not only did the over a dozen Sentinels not stop, but they also raised their arms. Thick missiles popped out from inside their bodies, aiming at Russell.

"Mutant detected - Elimination!"

Not only that, but the roof of the Sentinel factory building was torn open. The remaining eighty-something Sentinels flew up one after another, and the Robot named 'Mother Mold', like the Titan giants in Greek mythology, also rumbled to its feet, nearly a hundred meters tall, with red lights in its eyes, all looking towards him.

"It seems - You cannot!"

Russell's gaze coldly shot towards Henry Gyrich in his hand again, sentencing him to death.

"No, Bolivar, You bastard, don't You forget who brought You the White House investment, helped You gain authority, and gave You the opportunity to create the Sentinels..."

Henry Gyrich was greatly alarmed and cursed resentfully towards the Sentinels, trying to awaken his conscience.

He who had just been ready to abandon him after crossing the river, didn't expect retribution to come so quickly. He himself was about to be betrayed by Bolivar, whose wings had hardened.

"I am very sorry, Congressman Gyrich, I remember all the help You have given me.

If not for You, I would not have had the opportunity to showcase my talent to the White House, and the Sentinel project would not have been truly put into production."

Dozens of giant Sentinels flew up, surrounding Russell, and spoke in the same mechanical tone.

Across the ocean, in a certain underground secret research Base, a middle-aged man in a White coat, with a small mustache and a strong scholarly demeanor, his glasses reflecting a cold White light, spoke indifferently into the microphone.

He was stating a fact.

"But please remember, compared to the survival of all humanity, You and I are insignificant.

If humanity still wants to exist on this Planet a thousand years from now, Mutants must be eliminated.

The importance of nearly a hundred Sentinels plus the Mother Mold to the cause of all humanity far exceeds You.

I have to make a choice."

"You...!" Henry Gyrich still wanted to curse a few more words, but Russell's laser eyes pierced his skull. He let go casually, and the body fell down.

Boom boom boom!

The over a dozen Sentinel Robots suddenly fired missiles, but before they could reach him, Russell's eyes swept across, and the missiles exploded in the air. Fireballs with a diameter of a hundred meters instead knocked down those over a dozen Sentinels.

"Mutant, Your resistance is futile. Even if You conquer this country today, the Sentinels will sooner or later eliminate You Mutants without leaving a single one behind!"

Accompanied by Bolivar's indifferent voice.

"Eliminate, eliminate Mutant targets!"

Dozens of other Sentinels flew up. Dozens of electronic eyes simultaneously locked onto Russell, who was suspended in the air, with deadly red light flowing in their eyes. While firing lasers, they rushed towards Russell.

"What kind of lousy technology, can't even tell if someone is a real Mutant."

Russell sneered, leaving a Shadow image in place. He dodged the laser fire and turned into a stream of light, rushing into the Sentinel group at a speed too fast for the naked eye to catch.

The head of one Sentinel was hit by his punch. A ring-shaped airwave exploded, the steel head dented and deformed, sparking electrical fires and emitting Black smoke.

The second Sentinel was directly pierced by a fist capable of sinking an aircraft carrier. Russell's fist forcefully penetrated the body of one Sentinel, and terrifying lasers shot from his eyes, blasting towards several others.

Russell was like a tiger entering a flock of sheep. The over ten-meter-tall Sentinel Robots, which could withstand high-yield aerial missiles without damage, suffered body damage after just one attack from him.

In the blink of an eye, several Sentinel Robots were scrapped, and over a dozen Sentinel Robots suffered varying degrees of damage.

"Why is heaven so partial to Mutants?"

"Mother Mold, retreat immediately!"

On the other side of the ocean, seeing everything through the Sentinels' eyes, and receiving various off-the-charts enemy data transmitted through the electronic eyes, Bolivar's face sank as he looked at the White cloaked figure attacking wantonly, and he quickly gave orders.

Twenty to thirty Sentinels, like escort fighters, were escorting the Mother Mold Robot, which was a hundred meters tall, about to leave.

"Want to leave?"

With an uppercut, he blasted the head of one Sentinel away. Out of the corner of his eye, he glimpsed the Mother Mold in the distance about to fly away. Russell immediately rushed over, blasting lasers from his eyes to intercept it.

The so-called Mother Mold - that is, a walking Sentinel production line.

He saw the entire process of Sentinel Robot production and assembly before. As long as the Mother Mold was powered up, it would sit there, and its belly would be like an arsenal, continuously assembling and producing one Sentinel after another.

The reason there were only a hundred Sentinels was because the power generation capacity of Genosha, this island nation, was simply not enough for the Mother Mold to produce at full capacity!

Boom!

Other Sentinels immediately blocked him.

The loud crash of metal collision echoed through the sky. Five Sentinels twisted and deformed under the terrifying impact of Russell, who was at full power. Short circuits exploded with dazzling electrical sparks, and they were directly shattered by the impact.

Under Bolivar's command, all the Sentinels' shoulder armor suddenly flipped open, revealing dense missile launch bays. In an instant, tens of thousands of micro-tracking missiles tore through the air, trailing thick smoke and Fire, staining the entire sky a scorching crimson.

"Want to block my vision and cover the Mother Mold's retreat?"

Missiles filled the sky and came shooting towards him, exploding with a roar. The carpet bombing had enough power to level a small town, but Russell felt as if it was just rain, causing no harm at all.

Only the smell of gunpowder was choking. Thick smoke filled his field of vision, almost covering half of Genosha's sky.

Russell waved his hand in front of his nose, dispersing the choking smoke, and chuckled softly.
