Kuroinu, that's right... That is my name now. At this moment... I sit facing a mirror, staring at myself. Long white hair, smooth pale skin, a disheveled hakama—this is... my appearance when playing Minecraft Roleplay.
Damn it!!! It was just a pixelated game!! Why am I here? Wait! Wait! Wait! Is this... what they call reincarnation? Or... transmigration?
"Kuroinu... Excuse me, I brought you some food."
A voice came—it was the young man who had helped me, the one with a thin mustache and beard, dressed like Tarzan.
"Thank you, Uha."
He turned to me, giving a faint smile, and placed a piece of bread on the crafting table.
"Just... bread. Exactly like real Minecraft," I muttered quietly in my heart.
"Sorry... I haven't... hunted any cows or sheeps today, so you'll have to make do with harvesting wheat from our garden," he explained.
I nodded slowly, still offering a smile.
"Thank you, Uha. This is more than enough."
Uha chuckled softly, then stepped closer and patted my shoulder.
"Sorry about Foxy. He's naturally closed off and tends not to welcome new people."
I shook my head gently at his words, then replied,
"No, Uha, I understand... You both were probably living peacefully together, and now, suddenly... you have to take care of me...."
"Ahem. Well then... I'll head out for now. Take care of yourself, Kuro."
Uha walked out, glancing back slightly with a soft smile, then closed the door behind him with a sharp clicking sound. Climbing the stairs... his gaze grew distant.
"Kuroinu... That name sounds familiar, but where have I heard it...."
***
Kuroinu... A mythical ancestor—that's how I wrote it back then as a part of the backstory. At least... for now, they don't know yet. Even... after all my observations, everything is unfolding exactly like it did during the roleplay. The moment I was stranded and taken care of, even their words—were exactly the same.
If that's the case... Then I must already know what comes next. The descendants of the gods will surely come and throw everything into chaos, until... the discovery of the weapons. Oh damn it... Is that what's coming next?
And what's worse, I'm going to appear as the main villain of this roleplay, without anyone knowing... and also as... the revelation of Kuroinu as a metaphysical being. Luckily, that part didn't happen because the roleplay was suddenly shut down by the admin for unknown reasons.
That's right... At this point, I may only be the Avatar of something far greater than this roleplay world. I rose from my bed, with red and white colors like those usually seen in Minecraft.
Walking down the hallway and climbing the stairs with a beautiful waterfall as decoration. "Even this place hasn't changed at all," I said softly.
"Huh? Kuro? Didn't I ask you to stay inside?"
Uha spoke, coming from the opposite direction.
"Ah... I just... wanted to take a little walk," I answered with a slightly awkward tone.
Uha chuckled softly, then stepped closer.
"Want me to come along? Maybe I could tell you some interesting things too."
I gave a small smile and nodded at his offer—and just like that... we started walking together.
"Uha, do you only live with Foxy?"
My question made Uha turn to me, his gaze slightly different, though he tried to keep smiling.
"Yes, I only live with Foxy, though I sometimes meet up with my other friends."
"Oh yeah? Who are your friends?" I asked.
"There are many. Sometimes we meet during our free time, well... because our places are so far apart, and accessing the Nether Portal is still a bit of a struggle."
I listened to his words, nodding slightly in agreement.
"That's right... When I first appeared, traveling through the Nether was still pretty tough. There weren't any roads to make it easier yet," I muttered inwardly.
I looked at him, purposely putting on a confused expression.
"By the way, Uha... Where are we going?"
A small laugh escaped from Uha, and he answered while patting my shoulder gently.
"Don't worry, it's alright. Deep in this forest, there's our gathering spot—a bar we built."
"Ah... That must be The Large Cave, the one made by Uha, Foxy, and the others—"
I guessed, but... my steps came to a halt, eyes fixed on the mouth of a cave adorned with shimmering lanterns and such beautiful decorations. The scent of flowing water inside the cavern, and also... something so... nostalgic. Slowly... tears fell from my eyes.
Uha flinched, stepping closer to comfort me.
"Hey... What's wrong with you?"
I remained silent, unmoving, as tears streamed down my cheeks.
"Uha... Please... believe me, this place is going to be leveled soon."
Uha froze.
"What do you mean?"
