Chapter 30 - Episode 30: Temple of forgotten echoes

The temple doors creaked open, swallowing the team in golden mist. The walls whispered with old chants, vibrating with a haunting, ancient power. The six stepped inside together—but the moment they crossed the threshold, everything changed.

Each of them stood alone.

Surrounded by light.

Pulled into visions not their own... but strangely familiar.

Lara's Trial

She stood in a snow-covered street, watching herself push away a girl who reached for her.

"I don't need friends," Lara's past self shouted.

But as Lara stepped closer, she realized the girl's face was… blank. Missing.

She clutched her heart. "Who… was she?"

Teaha's Trial

He was running, sword in hand, through fire and shadows. Beside him, someone fought—fast, strong, fierce. But their features were blurred, smudged out by time.

He fell to his knees. "Why can't I remember your face…?"

Mira's Trial

Rain poured over a quiet grave. She was crying, holding a letter.

A hand rested on her shoulder in the past… but now it was empty air.

"Someone was always there… who were you?"

Kevin's Trial

He laughed in a sunny field, playing with five others. But one of them faded away like ash.

He shouted, tried to grab them, but his hand passed through.

"No… we promised… didn't we?"

Nisa's Trial

She stood before a massive gate glowing with jade light.

A voice called out to her, soft and broken:

"You were always meant to find me."

She turned—but saw only a golden mark on her own waist, shining.

"Who was I supposed to find…?"

Bihoo's Trial

He held someone close under the stars. Their hand fit perfectly into his.

He said something… whispered a name.

But now, no matter how hard he tried to speak, his mouth would not move.

The name was locked.

The face? Gone.

Only a jade glow remained.

Suddenly, they were back in the temple chamber.

They looked at each other, pale and silent.

Each of them had seen something…

Felt something.

Lost something.

Bihoo didn't look at Nisa.

Nisa didn't look at him either.

But both of their hands brushed their waists where the jade shimmered faintly.

Kevin finally broke the silence. "We're missing something. All of us."

Teaha nodded. "And it's not just memories. It's people."

Lara whispered, "Or… maybe a piece of ourselves."

To be continued…
