The assembly was rowdy. Everybody couldn't wait for the principal to give the announcement. They knew what it was, it was a normal occasion every semester.
As soon as the principal came into the hall, everyone shouted in ectasy.
"Now, calm down will you"Mrs Favour, the principal said harshly, but she was smiling. She could feel their joy, besides, who wouldn't?. The 4weeks trip to fantasy island was every student dream, even the teachers weren't an exception.
"Good' Mrs favour said as the hall got quiet. "Like I was saying earlier, the trip to fantasy island has been scheduled for next week Wednesday which is the 10th of February. And as a reminder, the trip is to teach you people the beauty of nature, knowing that fantasy island is home to nature and it's resources, so I want those who haven't paid their school fees to do so. If you haven't, you won't be allowed in the trip because the money for the trip has been added to your school fee. Have I made myself clear?" She asked.
"Yes ma" the students echoed joyously.
"Good, now you all can go back to class" she added as she left the hall.
The students walked back to their classes, talking with excitement. Tasha and Lily weren't left out.
"Lily if we should go to fantasy island on the 10th, do you know what that means?" Tasha asked smiling widely.
"No?"Lily said rolling her eyes, thinking.
"Guess"Tasha said grinning from ear to ear.
"My brain is blank, it has stopped functioning, too much joy" Lily said holding her head dramatically like it was about to fall. Tasha laughed loudly clutching her stomach.
"It means we're going to celebrate Valentine's day at Fantasy island" Tasha said and Lily shouted unexpectedly. Everybody stopped and looked at her, wonderingly.
"Don't worry, I'm okay"She muttered to everyone as she dragged Tasha away.
"What was that for"Tasha asked laughing.
"That's so amazing, it'll be so romantic. Oh Tasha we have to look spectacular. We have to go on a shopping spree"
"Would you calm down, there's still time" Tasha said as they began to walk to class.
"There's no time" Lily muttered to herself.

"I'm exhausted Lily" Tasha groaned as she slumped on the bed. Tasha was in Lily's house, her room specifically. They've been writing the list of things they needed for the trip.
"It's just four weeks lily, stop doing like we're living there for ever. The list is getting too long please" Tasha said as she looked at the list one more time.
"We haven't even started, these are just the minor things we need"Lily said as she took the list from Tasha. Tasha groaned loudly frustrated.
"You didn't include the full length mirror and ring light?" Liy asked
"What for?" Tasha asked eyes shining with surprise. "This is a school trip Lily not a show" she added.
"We do need it for videos" Lily said as she included it.
"We have hands Lily, we'll do the videos with our hands"Tasha said exparated
"That's not demure and lady like" Lily said as Tasha shook her head, wondering the planet Lily came from.
Tasha looked at the silver clock at the wall and gasped.
"What?" Lily asked
"I'm going home, I was supposed to have gone since. The time is far spent"
"Now?" Lily asked as Tasha began to pack her bags.
"Yes" Tasha said as she carried her bag. "Are you walking me to the door?" She asked.
"I can't, I really need to finish with this list" Lily said yawning.
"Really?" Tasha said surprised. "Fine, good bye" she added as she left.
"Love you " Lily shouted at her retreating back.
"Now what I'm I forgetting?" Lily asked her self.
Tasha whistled as she walked home, her home wasn't really far from Lily's. She didn't want to take a bus, she didn't feel like it. She was still having difficult walking fast because of the pain at her back, but it was reducing, the pain relief was actually working. The pain her mom didn't know about. Tasha knew her mom suspected that something was wrong with her, but she has being denying since. Her mom won't allow her to the trip if she found out what happened, she was too protective of Tasha.
Well, Tasha can't blame her, since her father got arrested, her mom has put all her attention and time on her.
Tasha still misses her dad, and it was a surprise when he was arrested with the claim that he killed someone. It was a big blow to the Adele's family. Tasha and her mom couldn't believe it. Her father wasn't a killer.
Mrs Adele had a hard time believing it, until her husband agreed that he did it. She was shattered for weeks, couldn't believe her darling husband would do such. But she was okay now besides it was over three months since he was arrested.
And Tasha wouldn't cause her mom more stress by telling her what happened in school, she wouldn't allow Gusty and his friends ruin this trip for her. She has waited for this trip for so long and nothing would stop her from going.

Tasha knocked lightly and inhaled sharply.
"Come in" her mom said.
"Hey Mom, you busy?" Tasha asked as she stepped in her mom bedroom.
"Not for you darling. Any problem?" Her mom asked as Tasha sat down on the bed.
Mrs Adele removed her glasses and closed the book she was reading.
"Not really, just that we're going to the trip I told you about" Tasha said.
"Trip?" Mrs Adele asked lost
"The trip to fantasy island I told you about."
"Oh, that trip, what about it?" Mrs Adele asked.
"It's next week Wednesday, I'm just letting you know cause I'm going" Tasha said.
Mrs Adele sighed and kept quiet. Tasha didn't like where this was heading. She knew what her mom was going to say next.
"You want to leave me here all alone" Mrs Adele asked quietly.
"Mom, I'm not staying there forever, I'll come back" Tasha said as she went to her mom and hugged her.
"How many days is the trip?" Her mom asked.
"It's 4 weeks"
"4 weeks" her mom exclaimed "it's way too long, I won't see you for 4 good weeks"
"It isn't that long, I'll be gone and back before you even notice" Tasha said "i love you Mom, know that" she added as she kissed her on the forehead.
"It isn't fair Tasha" Mrs Adele whispered softly.
" I know Mom, don't worry, when I'm back, I'll make it up to you"
"Fine" Mrs Adele agreed.
"Thank you Mommy" Tasha said excitedly
"And remember no boys" Mrs Adele said sternly.
"Of course,no boys" Tasha said rolling her eyes playfully and her mom smiled.
God, my daughter is pretty, Mrs Adele thought. She was happy that tasha was happy, even though she was going to miss her,it was for a good cause.
"Good night Mama, sweet dream" Tasha said as she walked to the door.
"Tasha" Her mom stopped her.
"Yes" She answered turning.
"Drop your account number on the account, let me give you money for shopping, you can't go there dressed like this" Mrs Adele said.
Tasha shouted excitedly and ran to her mom hugging her again.
"I love you" she murmured
"And I love you too darling" Her mom replied hugging her back.
