Chapter 16: A FORCED AGREEMENT
Anna POV… .
"Drop the call" he repeated but I wasn't having it too, why is he being such a pain in the ass? He is becoming more annoying and authoritative by the day. What exactly does he think he is? Does he think I will remain his slave simple because he saved my life.
"I am not going to drop the call, I am speaking with my best friend, deal with it" I laced out in anger, I think this is the right time I stand up to him, I can't continue giving him an upper hand.
I watched as he turned to me in surprise, maybe he didn't expect I would speak to him that way, he wanted me to remain submissive and does whatever he wants.
"What is going on, Anna, are you in any kind of trouble" Eva voice resounded from the other end and I tried to put everything under control.
"Don't worry, Eva. Remain on the call, don't end it" I replied with all confidence.
"Don't you dare test my patience, you would regret it" Damien voice was filled with rage now as he spoke but if course, it didn't scare me, I was also angry and wasn't ready to back down too.
"I am ready for every shit you want to pull, two can play the game too, and do you know what, I am done with this shitty marriage, let's go our separate ways, I can't put up with you anymore, you disgust me" the words left my mouth like a venom.
"You don't dare," he matched the break, making the car stop in the middle of nowhere, we are still around the thick bushes.
"What exactly is going on, Anna. I am getting scared" Eva voice proceeded from the other end again and I tried to comfort her again but before I could I felt a powerful force pulling the phone from my hands and without being scared, I knew it was him, Damien.
"You don't dare go back on a promise, I fulfilled my part and you most fulfill yourself too" his words were filled with so much power and authority, it was always obvious in the eyes.
Snatching the phone from me he smashed it on the floor harshly and as I watch my phone scatter to pieces, I could feel my anger increase.
"How dare you?" My angry lips summonsed angrily, and my ocean blue eyes stay at him blazing with furry.
"This is the height of it. If you feel you have the right because you saved me then undo what you did to me, return my heart to the way you met it because it's better to die than spend my life with my a man like you" I fired angrily. The anger was too much to contend.
"I better die than live with a man like you, you are more curse to me than my pathetic life" I fired on.
"Don't you dare Anna. Don't you dare force me to unleash my anger on you" his lips vibrated as he spoke.
"I could kill you and burry you here and no one would know" he threatened, the look on his eyes was certain that he wasn't lying, but I rather die than let him have his way again.
"Then do it, kill me and discard me if that will make you feel better" I thundered.
Before I knew what was happening, he stepped down from the car and turned around to my side. He opened the door harshly and pulled me out of the door.
"Say one more thing and you would be fine for" his eyes was now deep red and looking at his fingers, I could see extra crawls like those of a wide bull "Say one more thing and you will be sorry" he hit his hand against the door angry.
I opened my mouth to speak but my voice betrayed me, as if saying to me "Hell no girl, you are on theses alone"
I tried to speak again but my voice still betrayed. I couldn't lie, I was already scared of him, of his terrific eyes and his fearful claws but I just couldn't let it show.
"Anna Stone, why are your lips suddenly sealed, are you scared that I would tear you into pieces and feed your remains to the wide bulls?" his words hit me hard against the chest but I no words could still escape my lips.
Maybe my fears were already taking charge of my bravery, thereby rendering me powerless. I could only glare at me him, and wished silently that I could strangle him.
"Now let me set my rules, Anna" he leaves closer and smelled me like he was about to take a bite of me. In movies that is how I see werewolves eat humans.
"You will listen to me and listen good" he rested his hands on the car, and pulled closer to the extent that I could feel his breathe on my face.
"When I give my rules, you would nod silently, that is all I want you to do, do you understand?" he sneered and I didn't even realize when I nodded slowly like a fool that I wasn't.
"Good girl!" he tapped my head and began.
"First, you will cut all ties with those so called friend of yours" his words were a big blow to my face, how did he expect me to do away with Eva. It was impossible.
"Secondly, I will get you a bodyguard who will keep a close eyes on you from now on, do you understand the two simple rules?" His eyes was feasting on my scared face and just as if I was been controlled I nodded again like a fool.
"Good girl, I love that" he tapped my head and released a smile. "Now get into the car and get in like the good girl you are" he opened the car door and pushed me in like garbage.
As I sat in the car powerless, I understood the situation I got myself into, a situation that dead was better than.
