Chapter 72 - The Unexpected Effect Of Electric Current Stimulation! Stupid Alex!

On the screen, a sudden data fluctuation appeared.

It was the special bioelectric data from deep inside Alex's cells—something had changed.

According to the readings, after Alex used electric shocks, the activity of the special bioelectricity in the affected cells increased slightly.

A flicker of surprise flashed across Alex's eyes.

Releasing internal electric currents required activating them first. Normally, they lay dormant deep in the body, like still water—silent and unresponsive.

Alex's research had shown that enhancing their activity relied on increasing the quantity of special bioelectricity within the cells. Once there was enough, the electricity would naturally become active.

Once the activity reached a certain threshold, it could be sensed and released by the human body.

To increase the special bioelectricity, one had to strengthen the body. The stronger the body, the more bioelectricity was stored in each cell.

Based on his calculations, once physical strength reached 30 tons, the activity level of the special bioelectricity would hit the point where it could be consciously sensed and discharged.

But now, Alex had found another way—stimulating the cells directly with electric shocks.

"So," he muttered, eyes narrowing in thought, "if I increase my strength while simultaneously applying electric shocks, I can speed up the awakening of my special bioelectricity and learn to release it."

He thought of that small Spider-Man's attack: 50,000 volts. About half the strength of a Pikachu. That level of power was thrilling.

Alex's spirits lifted.

He was eager to wield such powerful electric abilities himself.

"I didn't expect this shock suit to have this kind of effect."

"A pleasant surprise."

A gleam of excitement flickered in his eyes.

"Next, I'll monitor how long the effects of the electric shock last, and how much benefit they provide."

With that, Alex got to work.

He repeatedly stimulated his cells with the shock suit, closely monitoring the data fluctuations on the screen.

Before long, he observed that the activity of each cell increased for a time after being shocked. Eventually, the increase would plateau and stabilize.

While not as effective as traditional exercise, the cumulative benefits were still significant.

He immediately recalculated the combined effects of strength training and electric stimulation.

To his astonishment, the threshold to release his bioelectricity could drop to 24 tons—6 tons lower than previously required.

"The release threshold is now 24 tons... I can unlock my powers earlier."

Alex was pleased.

"Once Ming Angel uses the electric shock suit too, her training results will skyrocket."

"I'll reach that 24-ton threshold in no time."

He clenched his fist. "Soon, I'll have my own offensive ability—elemental control."

Letting out a breath, Alex placed the shock suit in the training room for future use.

He also took the time to optimize Osborn Corporation's network and security systems.

He granted himself top-level permissions and carefully limited access for everyone else.

With those tasks done, he turned his attention to another goal: designing custom training equipment for little Spider-Man.

Thanks to his prior experience, Alex quickly completed the designs.

In a short time, he had drafted all the necessary schematics. All that remained was to build the equipment.

As he prepared to leave the company, Alex remembered one more thing.

He called for Kurt.

In the conference room, Alex sat calmly as Kurt stood before him, handing over a document.

It was the formula for the Lizard Self-Healing Potion.

"The potion has powerful regenerative properties," Kurt explained, "but it can't be used continuously."

"Based on current testing, the body generates antibodies after each use. After five uses, a complete resistance forms. Further use within 24 hours becomes ineffective."

Alex frowned slightly.

"So five uses in a row... then a one-day cooldown?"

Kurt nodded. "Exactly, boss."

Alex looked at the formula and nodded. "Five uses... that's basically five extra lives."

"This Lizard Self-Healing Potion is remarkable. Your years of research weren't wasted."

Kurt blushed and smiled. "It's all thanks to you. Without your help, I might have become a monster—Dr. Lizard—and ended up locked away by superheroes."

Alex agreed silently. If he hadn't stepped in, Kurt would have become another villain taken down by Spider-Man or detained by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Without hesitation, Alex took a lighter and burned the formula.

Then he handed Kurt another document—schematics for Spider-Man's training equipment.

"Have this built by tomorrow morning."

Kurt flipped through the pages and nodded. "Understood. I'll have it ready."

Alex was pleased. Kurt was loyal, talented, and efficient—a rare combination.

More importantly, Alex could sense Kurt's loyalty through his microexpressions and heartbeat. Kurt wasn't just loyal out of duty—he truly admired Alex.

That's why Alex trusted him so much.

Next, he handed Kurt a new set of documents.

"Install covert cameras at these marked locations. Park a vehicle nearby and mount hidden monitors if needed."

Kurt didn't ask questions. He nodded. "Got it. I'll handle it."

Alex pointed to the final page. "Also, investigate New York State Prison."

"Find out what superhuman experiments they're running. Locate the lab and identify the lead researchers. Keep this under absolute secrecy."

Kurt's eyes sharpened. "Understood. I'll assign a covert team. No one will know we're investigating."

Alex watched him go, thinking back to the first time they met. Back then, Kurt had been a broken man—timid, defeated, full of despair.

Now, he radiated confidence and capability.

"You're not going to ask why I'm doing all this?" Alex asked.

Kurt smiled. "You give the orders. I just get them done."

"Good." Alex stood up, preparing to leave.

Kurt stopped him. "Boss, our new product is about to hit the market."

"I'm an R&D guy. I can build anything you ask. But I don't know how to manage or sell. You need a professional to run the company. Without one, we'll fall apart."

Alex nodded. "You're right. I'll find a manager immediately."

Kurt bowed slightly. "I'll go now and start on the equipment."

As he left, Kurt glanced at the small Spider-Man badge on Alex's chest. Sympathy filled his eyes.

He had seen the intense training plans and realized that no normal human could endure them.

They were meant for the electric little Spider-Man.

That's what he called him in his mind—Electric Spider-Man.

Kurt could only imagine the pain the kid would endure. Small in stature, yet expected to endure the same intensity as Alex himself.

The cost of power, Kurt thought, was often suffering.

He was secretly glad he was just an ordinary person—not someone Alex would train the same way.

Kurt took one last sympathetic look at the badge, then left.

Alex, meanwhile, recalled Norman Osborn. He had always intended for Norman to manage the company but had been too busy to follow through.

"It's time to bring Norman back," Alex said.

"With the product launch coming, we need someone at the helm."

He made a mental note: improve the Green Goblin serum—erase the Goblin persona.

"Alright, it's handled," Alex muttered.

He turned and walked out of the building.

In a massive underground basement in Hell's Kitchen, a coffin slowly opened amid swirling white mist.

A girl, no older than sixteen, sat up. Her hair was short—barely five or six centimeters.

She was the host of the Beast. The leader of the Hand and the Black Void.

A group of black-clad ninjas and Hand leaders knelt before her.

"You've finally awakened," one elder said. "After you left, our entire team was wiped out. The Dragon Bone was stolen."

"Who did it?" she asked coldly. "The True Pure Society? Or the man I saw that day?"

A Japanese agent responded, "It was the man you saw. According to intel, he's extremely powerful."

"Find him," she commanded. "Bring him to me."

"The Evil God needs more sacrifices."

The room answered in unison: "Yes, Leader."

She lay back down. "Where are you? The Evil God calls for you…"

The coffin sealed once again in darkness.

...

Cars sped into New York.

In one vehicle, Donald sat with Dr. Rice. Two identical masked men—Wolverine clones—were with them.

"We found his trail," Donald said.

"Finally," Rice muttered. "X-24 is our best specimen. We can't let him slip away."

Meanwhile, Alex exited Osborn Corporation and headed across the street.

He needed to pick up some household items: oyster sauce, tissues, a new toothbrush… maybe a towel too.

But just as he reached the supermarket, a loud voice shouted behind him:

"Damn it! Don't run! Hiding won't save you!"

Heavy footsteps followed. The pursuers were approaching fast.

Alex narrowed his eyes. "Donald."

He whispered, "You found me... Impressive. But that'll be your last mistake."

He turned slowly, his fist already clenched.

He could feel them just seven or eight meters away.

But to his surprise, Donald and the others rushed right past him—without even a glance.

They shouted as they ran, "Stop!"

At the intersection, a battered Captain America limped into view, sprinting desperately.

"Who the hell are you people?!" he shouted.

Alex stood still, watching in silence.
