Chapter 1 - A hungry giant

In a small, quiet town where the moon softly glowed,
And children walked gently wherever they strode,
There lurked mighty giants with noses so keen,
They could smell a child's dirt from behind a tall screen!

These giants were picky—they hated the grime.
And bath time, dear reader, was their favorite time.
For when children were stinky and covered in muck,
The giants would stir with a sniff and a cluck.

One night, little Harry, who hated to scrub,
Refused to go near his shampoo or tub.
He wriggled and giggled and climbed into bed,
Not knowing a giant was sniffing ahead!

Then came a deep voice, as loud as a drum:
"Fee fi fo fum, I can smell Harry's bum!"

Harry leapt up with a shiver and scream,
And dashed to the bathroom in a panicked dream.
He splashed in the bath with a bubble-filled cheer,
The giant sniffed twice... then said, "He's not here."

The smell disappeared as the soap did its job,
So the giant turned back with a grunt and a sob.

Not every child was caught unaware—
Some were just lucky, they made it with flair!
The moment they heard that bellowing song,
They dove in the bath before things went wrong.

One such girl was bright little Lily,
Just finishing tea, feeling warm and quite silly.
Her parents were shocked when she said with a start,
"I need a bath!"—bless her brave little heart.

As bubbles rose high and the water ran hot,
She peeked through the steam and what do you know—
A giant was coming, preparing his song,
But then something pulled his great nose along.

A smell from the road made him turn with a spin,
He stomped and he sniffed with a big, toothy grin.

"Be by fo fum, I can smell Maddison's bum!
I'm gonna get ya, and when I get ya,
I'm going to GOBBLE YOU UP!"

Poor Maddison froze—her face turned white!
Then she screamed so loud, it gave him a fright.
The giant covered his ears with a groan,
And Maddison raced like a flash on her own!

She leapt in the bath, with a splash and a shout,
And just like before, the stink washed out.

The giant grumbled and stomped away,
Back to his cave until the next day.
For only the smelly can giants detect—
So clean little children are always protect'd.

So listen up, children, and take it to heart:
When bath time arrives—be quick and be smart!
Scrub all your toes and behind your ears too,hh
Or a sniffing old giant might come after you...
