After more than ten days of sailing, the Whitebeard Pirates finally found a deserted island.
The moment the Moby Dick dropped anchor, everyone eagerly disembarked.
"Yeah, yeah! We finally get to see Dad fight again!" Marco cheered like an excited child. He was clearly looking forward to seeing Kavi get humbled.
"Gurararara… Kavi! Let's see what you've really got!" Whitebeard cracked his neck, his smile wide and wild.
The Whitebeard Pirates were infamous for their love of battle. They'd clashed with the Roger Pirates countless times—it was in their blood to seek out strong opponents.
"Come on. I've been wanting to see the true power of this sea's strongest man," Kavi replied calmly, leaping down onto the island alongside the others.
Whitebeard gripped his enormous weapon—Murakumogiri, a naginata taller than Kavi himself. Its blade gleamed menacingly in the sunlight, encased in potent Haki.
"Kavi, where's your weapon?" Whitebeard asked, raising an eyebrow.
Kavi scratched his head, clearly embarrassed. He had reached a high level in swordsmanship... but didn't even have a sword.
'Looks like I need to get a weapon soon. There's that one sword I've heard of—unclaimed, and supposedly a Supreme Grade blade… Might be worth checking out.'
"I haven't found the right weapon yet."
"Oh? You can use a sword?" Whitebeard asked in mild surprise.
"I guess you could say I'm... a passable swordsman."
Whitebeard laughed. "Vista! Lend him your blade."
"Yes, Dad!" Vista, the "Flower Sword," tossed his sword to Kavi. "Here, try not to break it!"
Kavi caught the sword and gave it a cursory glance. Decent weight, good balance. Maybe even a named blade. Not bad.
Before he could get properly acquainted with it, Whitebeard was already in the air—charging at him!
"Take this!"
The massive naginata, wreathed in Conqueror's Haki, came down like a thunderbolt.
Kavi's eyes widened. 'This old man doesn't hold back! Trying to kill me right away?!'
There was no time to hesitate. Kavi immediately wrapped the borrowed sword in his own Conqueror's Haki.
He crouched slightly, gathering power in his legs—and exploded forward.
BOOM!
The two blades clashed in mid-air, though their tips didn't quite touch. The air itself fractured under the pressure.
A shockwave tore through the forest, reducing it to splinters. Black lightning flickered and cracked between them.
"Gurararara! Kavi, you're really strong!" Whitebeard roared.
"You're not so bad yourself!" Kavi grinned.
They continued to exchange blows in a blur of movement. Trees toppled, rocks shattered, and the island trembled beneath their fight.
Marco stood slack-jawed. "He's... actually holding his own against Dad?! And this is what he calls 'barely a swordsman'?"
Marco's dream of revenge was looking more hopeless by the minute.
Still, he tried to stay optimistic. 'He'll get old one day. I just have to wait... and train. Ten years from now, I'll get my revenge!'
Meanwhile, the battle between Kavi and Whitebeard raged on for hours. Neither showed any sign of letting up.
Kavi marveled inwardly. 'The powerhouses of this world are ridiculous. Akainu and Aokiji fought for days and changed the island's climate... It's no wonder.'
"Gurararara! Kavi—I'm going to stop holding back now!"
With that, Whitebeard plunged Murakumogiri into the ground and reached into the air with his massive hand.
Crack. Crack.
Reality itself fractured under his grip.
The Tremor-Tremor Fruit—activated.
Whitebeard's fist, brimming with world-shaking force, came crashing toward Kavi.
Kavi's eyes narrowed. He tossed aside the sword.
This would be a test of strength.
His fist, surged with advanced Armament Haki—flowing from black to deep crimson.
Ryusoken (Dragon Claw Fist): activated.
Bang!
The fists collided. A sharp, shrieking sound filled the air, followed by a massive shockwave.
Kavi stumbled back three steps, wincing as pain shot through his arm. Whitebeard didn't budge.
"Gurararara! What's wrong, Kavi? Can't keep up?"
Kavi exhaled slowly. 'Still a gap… His Armament Haki is top-tier. Mine's not quite there yet.'
Their Conqueror's Haki was about even, but in terms of raw strength and Armament mastery, Whitebeard held the edge.
But—
"A man can't be told he's not enough!"
Kavi roared, activating his Devil Fruit power.
In an instant, his body doubled in size—muscles bulging, clothes ripping apart. Faint dark red lines etched across his skin, glowing ominously.
His aura changed—no longer calm, but feral and divine. Bloodthirsty. Monstrous.
Everyone watching felt a chill. It was hard to breathe under that pressure.
"Devil Fruit…?" Whitebeard muttered.
Indeed. This was Kavi's Amplification Form, the primary ability of his mysterious fruit: the Pangu Fruit.
It amplified everything—strength, speed, haki, even battle instinct. But the cost was steep.
Half an hour of this form, and Kavi would crash. Just like Luffy's early use of Gear Second.
But with training, he'd overcome the weakness.
"Gurararara! Interesting! Come at me!"
Now evenly matched, the two titans clashed again.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Mountains cracked. Trees exploded. The island itself began to split apart. It was no longer a battle—it was a natural disaster.
The skies darkened. Waves roared. For half an hour, chaos reigned.
And then—
Kavi raised his hand and took a step back.
"That's enough. I concede. If we keep going, I'll lose."
Whitebeard roared with laughter. "Gurararara! I haven't had this much fun in years!"
He was brimming with life, as if the fight had energized him.
Kavi watched, slightly envious. 'I'll reach that level soon… Just wait.'
Whitebeard clapped Kavi on the shoulder. "Kavi! Join us. I'll make you my vice-captain!"
"Yeah! You'd be perfect!" the crew echoed.
Kavi sighed.
"I already told you—I'm not cut out to be a pirate. I just want a peaceful life. Besides, I'd rather not be wanted."
"Don't worry," Kavi added quickly. "I won't become a Marine either. You won't be hunted by me."
"Who said we'd ever be caught? Even if you were a Marine, you couldn't catch us!" Marco huffed.
Everyone burst out laughing.
"Then let's be friends," Whitebeard said, grinning.
Kavi smiled back. "Yeah. Friends."
