Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The flower that did not bloom

**Chapter 1: The flower that did not bloom**

The dark and yellow forest was teeming with the sounds of the night, the leaves swaying as if whispering secrets that no one knew in centuries. Lina, the 16-year-old girl, felt the air around her weigh down with every step she took. She didn't know why she followed that blue butterfly that seemed to be driving her somewhere, but something deep in her told her that she had to follow her.

The butterfly was sparkling under the moonlight, sometimes disappearing and sometimes appearing again, as if testing Lina's insistence. After what seemed like hours of walking, she reached a huge tree, its roots stretching in the ground as if trying to escape from something. On the trunk of the tree, there were strange inscriptions, symbols that Lina could not read, but felt that she knew her from somewhere.

She touched the inscriptions with her trembling fingers, and suddenly, part of the tree opened and revealed a black stone gate. The gate was closed, and on its surface there was an inscription saying: "Only those who carry the blood of the forgotten magicians enter here."

Lena didn't understand what that meant, but she felt the inscription talking to her. A whispering voice in her ears, a voice she had never heard before, but it was as clear as a bell: "One drop of blood is enough."

Hesitantly, I pressed the sharp edge of the pattern until I felt a slight pain. A drop of blood fell on the stone, and the gate began to move slowly, as if it was waking up from a long hibernation. But before she could get in, she felt a hand pushing her hard to the side.

"Stupid! Do you want to disappear forever?!"

Lena turned to see a young man standing behind her, his silver eyes shining in the dark, and his black hair flowing over his shoulders like a shadow of the night. He was looking at her with eyes full of anger, but she saw something else in them... Out of fear?

"Who are you? And why are you pushing me like that?" Lena screamed as she tried to regain her balance.

"Old gates don't just open with blood, they can be a trap for fools like you."

Lena didn't answer, but she looked behind her to see that the gate began to close again, as if it were a wound healing quickly. I shuddered when I saw that.

The two entered the gate, and found themselves in a wide square, towering towers floating in the air, and bridges of light connecting them. The place was more like a dream, but Lina couldn't enjoy the view, because she noticed that all the eyes were heading towards her.

Iris, the girl with silver hair, picked up a withered flower from the ground and raised it high. "Look! Plants die when they pass by!"

The square was suddenly silent, until Kailen looked at it with a mysterious expression. Lina felt her heart almost stop. What is this thing happening to her?

Then, suddenly, the fountain in the center of the square exploded with a black glow, and the water turned dark. Hader's voice filled the academy, like an old cry:

"The black flower is finally back."

Lina didn't understand what was going on, but she felt that something big was about to start... And it's in the heart of the storm.
