Chapter 6 - CH6: The storm before the exam

A/N: Hey guys, gals and pals, thanks for reading so far this is gonna be the last major time skip for a while. I just wanted to get to UA ast fast as possible where chapters will start to get longer, while setting up Takao as a character and without just straight up making lil bro OP af. Also As an FYI I do use AI to help with my spelling and grammar as I'm both dyslexic and dyspraxic (I got nerfed hard in life)

Three months later one day before the UA entrance exam

The sky was overcast, thick clouds hanging low as if they were bracing for what was to come.

Takao stood in the field behind his house—the same field that had become his personal training ground ever since he awakened his quirk.

His body ached, his breath steamed in the cold air, and his knuckles were dusted with dried blood from his relentless training.

And yet, tomorrow was the real test.

"One day left." He muttered, stretching his arms over his head, joints popping. "Time to test how powerful I've become."

For hours now, he had been working on his aspect combination of Thunder and Lightning fused into a single, devastating

technique. His last successful attempt had left him unmoving for 3 minutes not even a week ago.

But that wouldn't cut it in a real battle.

He needed control.

He needed to stand unflattering.

He inhaled deeply, grounding himself.

His heartbeat slowed and his eyes began to glow a golden light as he muttered under his breath.

"Aspect of Zeus: Thunder and lightning."

The now-familiar rush of electricity surged through him. Thunder rumbled beneath his skin, empowering his muscles with vibrating force. Golden Lightning flickered up his arms and shoulders.

Thunder and Lightning merged, this time more smoothly than ever before. The storm didn't explode outward like it did a week before. Instead, it clung tighter to his form, focused and compressed, like armor made of energy.

Electricity cracked in controlled arcs across his body. Sonic pulses trembled at the edges of his movements

"It's holding, time to push it." He said with a grin on his face. As he launched forward.

The boom of thunder launched him like a missile, and he reappeared at the far side of the field in less than a second, fist extended. He punched forward air splitting, lightning coiling.

CRACK!

The old steel training dummy shattered into fragments. He turned, leaped high into the air and spun.

"Storm Spear!"

Two spears of compressed lightning burst from his palms, trailed by a sonic burst that accelerated them mid-air. They struck two more targets dead-center, reducing them to molten scrap.

Pain lanced through his head, the first signs of strain.

'Migraine's starting, time passed around five minutes, it's bearable I'm still moving and still in control.

He landed again, steady on his feet. He turned to his final target a reinforced metal crate. Tougher then anything else he's trained with.

He grit his teeth.

"Time for a finisher." He powered up, thunder vibrating harder through his arms, the golden lightning now nearly blinding.

"STORM BREAKER!"

The combined energy surged into a single, devastating wave of compressed force. He drove his fist forward, and the blast ripped through the crate, disintegrating it with a spiraling crack of thunder and golden light.

Then stillness.

He staggered.

His legs trembled.

Blood trickled faintly from one nostril. His vision dimmed, but he didn't fall.

Not this time.

He dropped to one knee, head pounding, heart thundering. Still conscious.

'Six minutes and twenty two seconds, not bad.' A slow smile pulled at his lips despite the pain.

"Should be enough." He muttered standing, shaky but upright, as rain began to fall. The droplets sizzled on his still-charged skin.

That night, after a hot shower and a bowl of steaming rice and grilled fish, Takao laid down in his room, staring at the U.A. Exam Entry Pass in his hands.

His blue eyes flickered faintly with sparks of energy in the dark, reflecting a future only he could feel coming.

"Let's bring the storm." He chuckled to himself as he closed his eyes.
