"Look, isn't that an international student?"
Again the same old… What is so surprising about seeing international major students ordering food in a public students building? And it is not wrong for me to want to eat Thai food! I'm Thai anyway! And I'm not going to spend my money on those overpriced meals in the international students building, plain pasta, burger, sushi or whatever the food was.
After I finally got my food and sat on a nearby table, I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and planned to dig in, suddenly a shadow looming over me, I looked up and saw a guy standing in front of my table, he knocked on the cool metal table softly, making a soft 'clink clink' sound. Tanned skin, sharp jawline and fiery eyes, totally my type… By the look of his uniform, a public student building… I looked at him blankly, waiting for him to speak. As soon as he opened his mouth, my body tensed up immediately.
"Hey, you know this is public student building right?"
He said coldly, his disdainful eyes locked on mine.
I looked at him and blinked, first impression ruined… my brows frowned, I was slightly annoyed by his attitude. Like… huh? Is it wrong for me to eat here now?? What a jerk!
"Yeah, I know. I'm not stupid." I snapped back at him,
I looked at him as he gave me an annoyed expression and kissed his teeth. As he was about to open his mouth to protest, I immediately interrupted him.
"If there is nothing you want to say then leave, my food is getting cold" I said dismissively, hoping he could leave soon. I looked back at the boat noodles that I ordered, I picked back up the chopsticks again and finally had my first bite, finally… FINALLY! I can eat! But I'm still mad at that dude who's just wasted my time.
As I continued eating, I glanced up through my lashes just to see he's still standing in front of my table. I wondered why he was still here and not leaving. I tilted my head up to look at him properly.
"Are you a creep? Why are you watching me eat?"
I sneered at him. His brow frowned, his nose wrinkled, it was clear that I just got under his skin.
"Maybe I am… I wonder why international students are eating here…" his voice was low and intimidating, I couldn't help but find that attractive… except his attitude, right now I wanted to punch his face.
"Well? There are no rules in our Uni that international students can't eat at public buildings?" I concluded, I looked at his expression carefully, seeing that he was slightly taken aback by what I said, I couldn't help but feel satisfied.
His jaw clenched and glared at me, "Whatever" he said, with that he walked away, I watched him left the cafeteria, I scoffed then continued eating again, I do know why the public students is very unwelcoming towards international students, most international students often looked down on the public students, since all of the international students were from very well-paid families, while the public students were just average or just bare minimum.
I quickly finished my food, then put the tray back in the tray cart, went back to the international students building, and went straight to my class. When I got inside, I saw my friend, Zin, was sitting at the back of the class, scrolling through her laptop. She is always the earliest one to be in the lecture hall.
I went to sit beside her as usual, she looked up from her laptop to look at me and smirked,
"Hey, how was your meal?" She asked, I blinked then I suddenly remembered the guy that ruined my lovely meal time, my expression darkened slightly. "It was great, until some guy ruined it" I answered, my jaw clenched, Zin noticed my darkened expression, she arched her eyebrow, her elbow rested on the desk.
"Did something happen?" she asked curiously, I sighed and then decided to tell her what happened in the cafeteria, she threw her head back and laughed loudly, her laugh echoed through the lecture hall, good that it only us here,
"What? And you found that dude attractive? Seem like my boy had a crush"
She said between chuckles, she patted my back.
I huffed, then took out my notebook and laptop, dismissing her completely, still I couldn't help but blushed faintly, however I hoped that I won't have to see him again.
