July 10th, 2044 – Teyvat Dimension, Day OneRecorder: Irene KastTeam Members: Carl Lisbon, Irene Kast, Hamk Petrov
We've arrived in this world. It's vast, incomprehensibly large, and its resources dwarf those of the Earth we once knew—an Earth long exhausted. These abundant resources naturally attracted the attention of GTI. They invested billions into this venture. And yes, we made it.
As we stepped into this new dimension, we were immediately struck by a strange sense of dissonance. Something felt...off.
"Hey, Irene. Is your gun working?" Carl asked.I aimed at the empty horizon and pulled the trigger—nothing happened. The bullet didn't fire.
"No good," I said. "Looks like we'll have to fight using melee weapons."
Hamk approached us. "Even if it's melee only, we should be fine. This world's technology appears to be stuck at a medieval level."
"Bro, didn't you hear what the survivors from the previous expedition said?" Carl added. "This world supposedly has gods… and elemental powers. We'd better stay alert."
It was then we spotted a group of humanoid figures ahead. They wore masks and spoke a language we couldn't identify. Carl instinctively drew his gun—still no response. The creatures noticed us and charged. Hamk quickly took down two with his compound bow. I eliminated another using my dagger.
"What the hell are these things?" Carl gasped. "Hamk, weren't these in the bio reports?"
"Collect a blood sample," I ordered. I approached one of the fallen creatures and removed its mask.
"Strange…""What is it, Irene?""I… I can't see its face…"
I saw it—but it was as if it was pixelated, covered in some kind of mosaic distortion.
"Hamk, give me the camera." I took it and snapped a picture of the creature's face. The screen showed only black. I then pointed the camera toward the landscape—everything looked normal.
"I can't see its face, not even through the camera.""That's impossible," Carl muttered, coming over to take a look. His face changed the moment he saw the image.
"This defies logic!""We're already past the point of logic," I said.
Hamk finished collecting the samples and joined us. "Let's move. Supposedly, there are civilized humans here. If the reports are accurate, we should be able to understand their language."
We began walking. Not long after, we spotted a city—it resembled something from medieval Europe."That must be it?" Carl asked."Yes. Remember, according to the last exploration team, we should be able to understand their speech."
As we entered the city, Hamk whispered, "So what exactly are we here for? And how long are we staying?"
"Two months ago," I explained, "GTI sent a team of four into this dimension—Orange Zeng, Kalman Scott, Zoya Ponchenkova, and Roy Smith. All of them disappeared. Because of GTI's partnership with Hafk, we're here to uncover the truth behind their disappearance—and if possible, bring them back."
"Understood," Carl and Hamk replied in unison.
"Oi, look over there! A fight!" Hamk pointed.
"We can't get involved," I said. "We're low on arrows, and our firearms are still non-functional."
From a distance, we saw a tall, thin woman in a black-and-white dress freeze a man in green with what appeared to be ice powers. Then she ripped something out of him—not a heart, but a chess-piece-like object.
We were stunned. After the woman left, we rushed in. We managed to rescue the man in green and a blonde-haired individual. We brought them to a local tavern. Hamk administered CPR and used our portable defibrillator.
The green-clad man eventually regained consciousness."Who are you?" he asked."Us? We're travelers from another world.""Nice to meet you. I'm Venti."
Log End.
